Efficient & helpful staff especially the reception manageress. Villa 107 great with good size pool could not fault.Restruant, buffet breakfast enough variety, only downside 1 cook 1 frypan to cook eggs to your liking, we were there on low season, so OK, but I think in high season would be a problem. Beach is a big disappointment, you cannot swim there, for at least 1000 Mtrs only comes up to your chest at High Tide. Sunday Buffet Brunch GREAT VALUE approx. $40 Aus,(if you don t have breakfast) but everything you could wish to eat & more

I was a bit skeptical before arriving because all the reviews were so incredibly positive, so our expectations were quite large. And now we ve just arrived home after our 14 days stay over Christmas at The Beach Republic – and what a great stay! All the staff members are incredible nice, polite and helpful no matter what you ask for, you really feel they are there for you - with a huge smile. The rooms we stayed in, Club suite (we had 4 rooms in total for the family, age 17-74) was spacious, modern, clean, bright and well equipped and with a nice balcony that was big enough to seat at least 6 people. The bed was the best hotel bed I have slept in ever. There were quilts, not blankets, and they even had a special pillow menu so you can choose a pillow that fits especially for you. Every night the turndown service delivered Todays Manifest and a treat to the room – brilliant idea! From the room we went on a little walkway down to the restaurant, pool and beach area - all clean and beautifully kept. The location was perfect to us. After our last visit to Koh Samui, we were very sure that we didn t want the noise in the center of Chaweng and Lamai. So we chose The Beach Republic because of the location, a bit out side, but still easy accessible by a 10 min walk (Lamai), free shuttle, taxi or by songtaew. It feels like The Beach Republic has its own little beach. The beach is not as shallow as Chaweng and central Lamai, and the waves are not as powerful, so it s possible to swim there. I do not understand they who complain about the beach, I think it is nicer than central Chaweng and Lamai! The pool area (two pools) is also very nice and surrounded by various sun beds. From the sun bed you can press a button and then comes the pool staff serving you drinks, food, towels etc. And through out the day the DJ played relaxed music while we dozing in the sun. They also have an excellent restaurant serving delicious breakfast (loved the breakfast that had plenty to choose from, you must be quite spoilt if you have complaint about that!), lunch, dinner or a snack. They serve all from traditional Thai to international and all with great sucsess. I think my daughter ate chocolate fondant every day for 2 weeks .... And Sunday Brunch is a must! Even if you are not staying at the hotel, take a trip to try it - remember to book a table in advance. And not to forget the Christmas Day Traditional Dinner Carvery – excellent food, drinks and nice music from the DJ and the saxophone player. If I have to come up with anything negative about the The Beach Republic , i think it must be that the gym/fitness room that could do with an upgrade. But for me, the whole stay was a great pleasure and I can recommend anyone to stay at The Beach Republic. Thank you for making our holiday such a great experience – keep up the good work! Everything good!! But there is no normal beach for swimming. Water level under knee. To swim in good sea and good beach you need to move by taxi everyday.

A cool funky resort. We enjoyed the service, cleanliness and overall vibe of the place. The only thing is that prices in the resort all almost double other places on the island, so we found it better to get alcohol from local shop and to eat in other restuarants as much as we could.

I loved this location! I went on holiday with my boyfriend. The hotel was beautiful & was a fantastic value for the location & beautiful room. HOWEVER, my one gripe was service. The following may seem minor to some, but felt like a huge insult to me. The hotel was booked under my name and paid all under my card. However, ALL Communications were addressed to Mr.(insert my boyfriends name here) . My boyfriend was not the person paying for the room nor were the charges going onto his card. So why were communications addressed to him and not to me? I worked very hard to pay for my vacation & I would have liked the courtesy of acknowledging my existance & not the assumption that my male companion was the person in charge of all funding (of which he was NOT). Additionally, when we ordered room service, my boyfriend found a staple in his pizza (weird & a clear oversight from kitchen prep). Other than these things, Beach Republic was a beautiful. A wonderful place to stay: the modern pool villa really lived up to our expectations, great service of the friendly staff, the restaurant is sublime. We can think of only one negative point: the sea is far away, the nearest place to swim in the sea is Lamai beach.

Excellent hotel with a very kind and serviceminded staff,overall. Minus: Walk in of many guest who doesn t belong to the hotel, occupyeing sunbeds and facilities overall. Many intrudes representing lack of behaviour and destroy for BR residents. two bedroom penthouse great.the resort had lost its chef recently and the food was of very poor quality and expensive, .dont bother eating there. cleaning of the suite superficial with carpet in main area not being cleaned for five days. no hot water for two days,airconditioner leaking through ceiling.just the little things you dont expect for the price paid. staff friendly but really need training by european management. We loved our stay at the Beach Republic, Samui. The accommodation was excellent. The apartment that we stayed in was spacious, modern furnishing and comfortable. The pool area setting s picture perfect. The staff are pleasant and very helpful. For sure, I will stay at the Beach Republic if I visit Koh Samui again.

Beeing a returning visitor to Ko Samui for many years, staying at resorts like Poppies, Zazen and Sala Samui, Beach Republic was a nice experience. Stayed in a modern pool villa for three weeks. Nice garden with a great saltwater chlorinated pool. Very friendly and attentive staff. Nice, informal atmosphere. Cool Beach Club. Housekeeping and pool service very efficient and of high quality. Location a bit remote from the huzzle and buzzle of Lamai and Chaweng, but only a short ride away by taxi or local bus. A nice plus was the good quality WiFi available (complimentary). My friends and i enjoyed an absoluetly wonderful time at Beach Republic. To begin with we stayed in a modern 2bdr villa and it was stunning!!!! private pool, every amenity needed, the most comfortable bed ever! just superb!The staff were so welcoming and helpful, particularly our door man Phong. A warm welcome every morning quickly put a smile on our faces. The pool area and private beach is stunning. They were extending the area at the time so there was a bit of construction going on but that didnt dampen anyones spirits. once its all complete I can imagine it will really be the place the be! does get busy but as a guest of the hotel you are always looked after and they ensured we had a sunbed whenever we needed. All in all my friends an i thoroughly enjoyed our trip and would return to beach republic anyday! it really was paradise!

what can i say 11 out 10 for the resort we all had a great time, we will be back, excellent food, great staff, spectacular accomodation, only problem the beach was a little rocky, didnt really matter as there is a large pool by the beach front and we had our own villa pool. Wish we could have stayed longer and had a chance to experience one of your beach parties. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]
