Das Aloha ist vollkommen zu Unrecht in vielen Foren schlecht bewertet. Kleine Mängel sind zb. das veraltete Mobilar, die schlechte Beleuchtung im Zimmer...aber Frühstück vollkommen ausreichend, sehr gepflegte Anlage, schöner Pool, tolle Lage und ausreichend Liegen. Das Aloha empfehle ich definitiv weiter, denn Preis-Leistung passen. Wer perfekten Luxus möchte, sollte ein anderes Hotel suchen.

Unkompliziert und klar strukturiert. Bezahlung und Abwicklung top. Aber...es müsste eine Hotline für alle Länder geben, falls Probleme zu klären wären. Ansonsten, gerne immer wieder Sawadee.com!!!

We had a perfect stay in alhoha except big question mark We moved on too another hotel in Lamai but noticed we had left our iPad behind in one of the two hotels in the room .So Sadly between the 2hotels it was not handed in when found..We can t blame Alhoha or The Grand Thia but between them as it was only taken out the case in the rooms for the children too play on.It would be a blessing too get it back where it belongs

-There is no gym in the hotel though the websides for both the hotel and Sawadee said there would be. -The wifi at the hotel is way below expectations. -The extra bed we had asked for was terrible. A springbed for 14 days is not ok. +Clean hotel/rooms. +Nice and friendly staff +We had asked for no ground floor-and got 1st floor(UK) +OK food

The hotel is located almost at the end of Lamai s main street. The hotel is located right on the beach and the hotel have their own sunbeds for hotel guests. It is walking distance to Lamai center where there is everything you need as a tourist. We were four persons and had a family room with a double bed and two single beds. The room is large enough but is in need of freshening. The hotel staff at the front desk are pleasant but passive. The breakfast was OK but could be better. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Одно из лучших расположений на Ламае.Хорошие завтраки, отзывчивый персоонал,ухоженная территория. Уборка номеров как везде в тайланде поверхностная.Море отлично ,приливы - отливы для купания не заметны. Приезжаем в Алоху второй раз .

Wir waren vom22.02-10.03.2015 in diesem Hotel. Das einzige durch das dieses Hotel punkten konnte waren , die gute Lage ,der gepflegte Garten mit Pool und ausreichend Liegen. Die Zimmer,wir hatten Deluxe Seaview, waren okay. Gross und einen schönen Balkon. Das Bad war okay nur gab es an einigen Tagen abends kein warmes Wasser.Die Zimmer leicht abgewohnt aber das ist auch dem Klima geschuldet, und wer des öfteren in Asien Urlaub macht kennt das ja. Frühstück ging gar nicht. Total lieblos angerichtet. ab 09 uhr gab es Butter nur noch in flüssigen Zustand, da man sie ja auch in die Sonne neben dem Toaster stellen muss. wir haben 2 Tage im Hotel gefrühstückt danach nur noch außerhalb. Zu empfehlen Cafe 77 oder we will wait Restaurant. Alles in allem ist das Aloha Resort nur auf Grund Seiner Lage zu empfehlen, aber dafür ist es zu teuer. Über das Personal möchte ich mich nicht weiter aüßern ,nur soviel, die einzigsten die immmer nett und freundlich waren, sind die Reinigungskräfte [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

We booked the family suite and after paying our deposit we were told it was unavailable so instead we had to book Grand Deluxe Suite, Seaview (2 Pax) & 1 Grand Deluxe, Sea view. We booked these because they were next to each other so our children would be close to us (they are 13 & 7 years old) ( This cost nearly double what we had budgeted for accommodation). Ordinarily I would have cancelled the booking and requested a refund but with 9 other family members staying at the resort we wanted to stay together. The rooms were ok, my husband and I had a lot of problems with our room. First night a fuse blew and we lost power, they moved us to another room overnight and I requested a refund for that nights accommodation and only received a cheap fruit platter. Once that was fixed the next day we packed up and moved back to our original room however we had a lot of problems with the door, it was very hard to open from the inside, often I thought we were going to pull the handle off and be locked in. I requested it to be repaired several times and nothing happened. The pool only had opening hours of 8am - 6pm. In a tropical climate that was pretty annoying when you go out sightseeing all day and want to have a swim when you get back you can t because the pool is closed. On a positive note, our cleaning lady was wonderful, very helpful and friendly. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Sawasdee Krub... Sawasdee Bee Mai.. my family has just finished our stay with you and are now back home. It was a fantastic holiday, and we had a great time with you. Your staff were all so happy, friendly and helpful. They got to know us, and got on so well with our children… at some stages our 2yr old son wasn’t happy, so one of the lady waitresses took him for a walk and looked at the fish… he loved it…. and we loved to see your staff doing that.. Every day they called us by our names, especially the kids… it was very nice of them. Even when our crazy friends left their passports in your safe and only realised when we were at the airport to fly home... my wife rang your reception to ask for help and get them driven to the airport, which we thought would be very hard to do being Songkran... but, your staff prevailed and our friends made the flight... well done to your team.. that was just awesome.... I m sure my friends will be thanking you... but I wish to thank your team very much…. it was a champion effort by your man who did this. Like I said, it was a super holiday, and without your staff it wouldn’t have been anywhere near as good. There are some things though that we feel let the resort down a little bit though... please don’t take these as criticism... but simply feedback on how things could be improved. It would be great to have ceiling fans in the dining area, it was often uncomfortable to eat in the area due to it being so hot even early in the mornings… and also in the bedrooms... constant exposure to air con in the rooms has made a couple of us sick, ceiling fans would be great there. The fruits served for breakfast need to be kept cold, they are not nice when eaten warm…the plates of fruit were just on the bench where it was hot and sunlight came in. The breads and cereals etc. should be moved away from the direct sun coming through the window, it made them go stale quickly. The hot food was often cold or luke warm as I think the bain maries weren’t set up properly to keep the food hot.. occasionally it was, but most of the time it wasn’t... this can lead to stomach disorders like diahorrea which I did experience. Good coffee is hard to find in all of Samui...it would be great if you maybe had a couple of Nespresso machines to make proper Latte or Cappuccino coffee.. not expensive to buy... with the buffet breakfast, the juices were not real juice.. they were some kind of syrup with water... nice juice would be good The pool wasn’t cleaned whilst we were there..not that we saw anyway.. there was always sand in there, which is hard to avoid next to the beach, but we never saw it being vacuumed... and there was always algae on the tiles and even underwater on the light fittings... so it was in need of chlorine and algae treatment to be put in the water.. In the rooms, it was mostly great.. the inability of having 2 keys was very problematic though... the room could not be kept cool all day, due to only one key and having to take it with you when you go out, thus the room got terribly hot again... plus, if one person went out, then other family went out, only one key meant that someone couldn’t get back in the room until the next person came back with the key. The air-conditioning vents in the room had mould and algae in them and were constantly dripping water and had a very bad smell similar to drain pipes.... this can cause diseases. A larger fridge should be made available in the rooms too... especially for family rooms, but also anyone else….. many children will not eat Thai food, even some adults, and there is a real need to have other foods available, and kept cold… bottles of milk, bottles of water, juices, cold fruits and the like.. so that they can be fed during the day or night etc... and those little fridges do not hold many items at all. That is the end of my suggestions. Most of them are very important to western people and Europeans as well. It could deter us from coming back to stay with you again, as we hadn’t experienced it other parts of Lamai when have stayed 5 other times. Once again, thanks for the major part of our stay being fantastic with you… it is just these points that I think will make your resort so much better to stay at. Positiv überrascht. Das Zimmer war sehr gross und sauber! Das Frühstücksbüffet war ausreichend. Verschiedene Brote, Früchte, Müsli, Eier in allen Variationen und warme Speisen. Verschiedene Säfte, Tee und Kaffee. Super Strandlage, man konnte jeden Tag frische Badetücher für den Strand beim Pool abholen. Personal war jederzeit freundlich. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

The hotel was below my expectations,too old and looked like it needs a huge renovation.The room was clean,but the bathroom was full with mold and the tap was mooving around when I tried run the water,the lights did not give enough light.There was no safe in the room,they had an old fashioned locker-room-kind-of-safe at the front desk,but we had to take care of the key :( if loose-pay :) But the stuff was very friendly and helpful,the beachside was clean and if I would go back I would choose again this hotel(hopefully they are renovating the rooms till then )

Не самая лучшая тройка на Ламаи. Территория небольшая, не ухоженная; в номерах мебель старая, белье серое и рваное, проблемы с горячей водой и канализацией. Проблемы с кондиционером, дважды за десять дней отключался,причем во второй раз из-за него отключилось все электричество в номере, наладили только утром следующего дня. Очень скудные однообразные завтраки. Из положительных впечатлений только уборка номера, всегда вовремя, ненавязчиво и добросовестно.

We chose Aloha after much online research and thankfully our expectations were completely met. The location was serene, nice and clean on the beach, the rooms were nice and comfortable, the staff were nice and friendly and the breakfast was good. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Nice hotel, very beautiful grounds and a swimming pool. Sea view balconies. Good breakfasts, delicious coffee. The hotel is right on the beach. Friendly stuff. An invisible and quality housekeeping service. Good location - near many shops, cafes, exchangers Disadvantages: poor lighting in the rooms, very old furniture, many ants in the room, no hair dryer, old air conditioning without remote control.

Very nice resort though the room we stayed in was a little tired (I,e the taps leaked, plugs didn t work in bath) but clean. my only criticism is that is it not very pram friendly with lots of steps to get to pool and breakfast. Staff and service excellent [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Hello, First thanks for having a nice time in Aloha Beach Resort. Few points: - Bathroom shower cell needs better cleaning black spots in between the tiles. -Found hair in shower at arrival. - During the night we heard creatures/insects chewing on something above us in the ceiling. So my conclusion is bathrooms needs better cleaning.

Замечательный отель! Так не хотелось от туда уезжать!Расположение,море, интерьер ....все выше всяких похвал! Номер был на первом этаже,с видом на бассейн. Ходили только через балконную дверь.Так было удобнее и ближе в ресторану,пляжу. Сломался холодильник,сразу принесли новый. Минус на мой взгляд, отсутствие чайника в номере и малая освещенность в номера. При выселение из отеля,смогли бесплатно оставить багаж в отели,так как переезжали на Ко Тао на пару дней. Когда вернулись,забрали вещи в целости и сохранности. Снимали байк в отели тоже без проблем. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

I have visited this resort since 2002. The sun loungers need replacing as they are old and uncomfortable. The breakfast buffet is poor. I have always been happy with everything else about this resort but you must stay in the new rooms as the main block is very shabby. The price is good value though because the beach is fantastic. I will stay there again next year.

As said before, the very annoying habit of reserving the sunbeds - even though it is not even allowed, is a MAJOR drawback at this hotel. Manangement could place some beds on the beach to satisfy whoever doesnt get up at 0530 to put their towels on 8 sundbeds..... [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

We arrived on New Year s Eve and there was no power into the evening. We tried to get staff to hook up the emergency lights and that was not easy due to the language barrier. We finally got help from penn our housekeeper who was wonderful. Meow, the events coordinator was a great help and spoke English, but none of the other staff at the front desk could speak or understand a bit of English. The looms were lovely and we had a great view of the beach. Unfortunately the beach was strewn with trash. Not sure if because of rough seas. Overall was satisfied.

Good situated on the beach, nice pool area. Allthough huge need of maintenance/renovation. Poor standard of bathrooms, bad sewage smell in the room as well as at public restrooms. Sun beds and umbrellas needs to be switched for new ones. Staff english skills a total disgrace. All together standard not in accordance with price, in total a disapointment.

Nice hotel. We travelled a big group of 13 persons. My husband and I stayed in the Grand Deluxe Suite,a very beautiful room with 2 balconies and 3 big panoramic windows. Others in the group stayed in a Grand Deluxe Seaview - also a very nice room on the ground floor. The Superior Rooms lack view, but are OK. Good breakfast. Nice pool area. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Aloha Resort has a beautiful location: stunning beach and amazing views. The rooms ( we had a Grand Deluxe room ) are spacious, well equipped and nicely decorated. The other cheaper rooms ( deluxe and standard rooms ) are much older, they need some renovation. With a better management this resort could be so much more! They have this beautiful location and so much more space than the other resorts along Lamai. The swimming pool is quite large, but the area around is not cozy at all. All furniture needs paint. If they add a few extra s and do some light renovation work, they could make it a 5 stars hotel. They would also need train the satff to give better service especially at the pool( where there are 3 people sitting behing the towel counter doing NOTHING all day ) and restaurant. Breakfast is awful: bread is old, Thai food is teribble ( 2 options a day ) bacon, ham, pancakes are all dried out...this again would be so easy to improve. There are maybe three chefs walking around the breakfast area, looking bored instead of making them cook some delicious freh breakfast. Reception staff were very friendly. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

We had the family room and found it worked well for us. It had a very large balcony with a great view of the pool, beach and sea. Its got one bath room and one main entrance. The kids(3 & almost 5yrs) had a great time in the pool. Its got 2 smaller pools within the larger pool that are about 2 feet deep. Our 3yr old could stand up in the main pools shallow end. The hotel is positioned right on the beach front with a shower so you can wash sand and sea off before heading back to the pool or to your room. The beach is very nice too, the kids had endless fun playing in the sand. The beach remains lovely even at low tide. I m told down the other end(where the more expensive places are)the beach is not very nice at low tide. The breakfast had alot of choices cereals,toast,muffins,fruit, cooked to order eggs or omelettes, and usually 4 or 5 other hot choices with tea,coffee and juices etc. You are in asia and they are trying to cook euorpean foods ie pancakes bacon etc using asian ingredients so it doesn t always taste like home. We never had any other meals at the hotel so can t comment any further on hotel food. There is a 7 eleven right across the road which is very handy. We found all the hotel staff very lovely during our stay.Its not the ritz so as long as thats not what your expecting then you should have a great time. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

We spent in Aloha Resort & Spa one week and had great time. The sea is just 20m from the hotel area, water is warm and clean, sometimes with some unidentified brown-yellow spots but still good enough to swimm and enjoy the waves. The staff was very friendly and helpfull, breakfast OK and the pool suitable for swimming and playing with kids. I can recommend to all not fussy travellers who want to get good service and value for money. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Great Hotel. Great service. My friend lost her kreditcard behind the big inbuildt furniture in the room. The staff of 3 persons helped us for 15min to get it out. they gave us fresh flower daily in the room. And a cute little girl always gave us hugs when we passed her by. The breakfast could be better.

We stayed in the Family Suite at Aloha and was a bit disapointed about the standard of the room. It was fairly worn out and in need of restauration, although it was large and clean with a hughe terrasse. Some other members of our group stayed in Grand Deluxe Seaview-room which was very high standard and modern compared to our room. Staff was friendly but not overly helpsome and seemed a bit boored, breakfast was average. The poolarea and beach was excellent and the location very good. All in all, I would recommend this hotel but only the Grand Deluxe Seaview rooms. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

The aloha resort was very good and suited us perfect. The family room was fullu booked but a deluxe room with extra bed was well enough for us. The personell was overall very friendly, helpful and serviceminded.the pool area and the beach in front of hotel was really good and the location was perfect, traveling with children. Easy access to the strett commerce and restaurants but not noisy. Situated in the end of beachroad wich was perfect. We truly recomend this and will be happy to return some day.

Booking service very good as usual. Sawadee has been our 1st alternative since we started travel to thailand 2004. They have never failed. The good thing that i preciate is that you can have special needs that are easy to request and get quick replies upon.

This hotel is in a great location fronting onto Lamai beach. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms and amenities are very clean and well looked after. We stayed in a deluxe bungalow which is quite spacious if a little dark. the hot water wasn t all that hot which didn t bother us much as a cool shower was more refreshing. Большое спасибо AsiaHotels.ru - заказывал через них 4-х местный номер на Cамуи в отеле Алоха. Перед этим пытался это сделать еще в двух тайских агентствах - были отказы (предлагали 2 номера по 2). В АН номер подтвердили сразу, чему был удивлен, но зря - после оплаты прислали ваучер, по нему заселили в отель, номер четырехместный без проблем. Об отеле: Самый большой плюс отеля - хороший пляж (без камней, народу не очень много, в отличие от Чавенга), лежаки практически всегда свободны (хотя были в не сезон). Завтраки стандартные для таких отелей. Рядом куча кафешек на разный вкус... При отеле есть стоянка - мы брали машину в аренду. Объездили весь остров самостоятельно. Сам отель староват конечно, но его поддерживают в хорошем состоянии. Вообщем, отдых удался - спасибо ASIAHOTELS !!!! [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Our holiday with our adult children was just that !.............a very restful holiday. We had such a lovely time in such a beautiful part of the world that we long to return. Aloha Resort & Spa Accommodation and facilities: In our period,there was extreme bad weather coming to koh samui, but the location on aloha resort was very good,further to other places with much water coming in the streets, like in chewing beach (90 cm water some places)The personal in aloha resort (staff) was very nice, and service was very good.Smiling people all the time, only the SUN was not smiling to us.Best regards From a happy family from Norway. Our room was situated right obove the brekfast kitchen, so we woke up every morning for 14 days about 6 am with a lot of noise and the smell of fried bacon, since the kitchen ventilation apparently were paired with our air-condition!! Very disgusting. As if this were not enough, we also had visits from mice/rats in our room at night. Both running on the floor and furniture, and running into the ventilation space. During our 14 days stay, the pool was cleaned only once, Therefore it was quite dirty. Every 2nd or 3rd day would have been more appropriate.The breakfast buffet and dining room was not very uplifting, but really boring. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

This is my third stay at Aloha since 1999 and im sad to see that it is falling apart. They really need to invest some money to get the hotel in shape again. With the location right on the beach is has potential to be one of the best hotel in Lamai. Breakfast was almost ok, but there was too little to choose from. My family stayed at the Aloha Resort Koh Samui for 7 days in October. We stayed in Deluxe seaview rooms which were large, clean, modern and had great views. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel was in a great location - right on the beach that boasted restaurants, massage huts, water sports. The hotel, grounds and pool were all immaculately maintained. Staff in the hotel were friendly and always willing to help. Enjoyed it so much we are going back next April....Ignore other reviews - this hotel is well worth a visit. The location is great, just on the beach at the end of Lamai Beach in Samui. The pool is very nice, the food in the restaurant on the beach also but we think our bedroom, and especially the bathroom, was not quite clean. It was noisy during the daytime and also at night (telephone ringing in the corridor !) so we would not go back to this hotel.

The site is a perfect place for stressless vacation. Pool, garden and beach are in perfect condition. Blossoms etc, falling in pool or on lawn are removed right away for perfect appearance of the whole area. The building however needs some overhaul and painting, especially the balustrades and the handrail of outdoorstaircase (it is loose and requires some nails to get fixed). The wooden sunbeds tend to fall apart and require some glue and nails (when there is no money for total replacement). [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

A nice hotel, very clean, but nothing special. Room and facilities were clean, beds very comfortable. If you look for a nice and typical resort hotel and don t care about Thai atmosphere, then this is a good place for you. But you don t have to fly to Asia for a place like that. We had a big familyroom with one big bed and two single beds. Our door kept giving us trouble when the doorlocks electronics did not work as it should. We had to get help to open the door 3 times every day for one and a half week. Also their breakfast was nothing that impressed us. I thought that thai people were called the smiling people But this is not applicable for Alohas staff. It also seemed that the pool was cleaned only once per week. During our stay several guests changed hotel from Aloha. They told us that there were other hotels on Lamai beach that were cheaper but better!

Très bon rapport qualité prix. les chambres luxe très spacieuses et confortables, très propre, bonne literie.Le personnel est très sympathique ! Par contre les petits déj sont très moyens ! Le restaurant est agréable et les plats corrects surtout pour les snaks du midi. La grande rue commerçante est tout près de l hotel, c est très pratique. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

We have stayed at the Aloha before. Nice place, good food and nice staff. Good for families. Drawback: the european habit of reserving sunbeds two-three hours before they actually use them.....

My family and I spent 9 days at the Aloha Resort and overall we had an enjoyable stay. I have to say that we were a bit dasappointed with the room we were in as the bathroom had no bath tab and was too small. After checking with reception I was informed that none of the rooms had bath tabs. Our delux room looked a bit old and basic however the nice terrace made up for it. Swimming pool was lovely and the location of the resort was ideal especially if you are trveling with young children. V. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

We stayed for 5 nights with 2 kids and my wife.On the last day,we requested to extend the room till 16:00 during the low season if the room was not booked on the day.They rejected it and let us out by noon at the last day.We could not enjoy the last day.We booked the air in the evening for the last day.We are not satisfied with this stance.We will stay in the other hotel next trip.Beach was nice.

Nice hotel, only there was a big building construction beside the hotel and some building activities in the hotel. We received an upgrate for our room so we had a wunderful room. We could live with the noice of the builders, they did not start in the early morning. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

wir waren von 20.6 bis 25.6.08 in aloha resort und waren leider sehr enttäuscht . nicht sauber , nicht freundlich nicht preisgerecht, nicht schön . kleines badezimmer (konnte nur ein persoon herein)für ein familie suite,ganze tag bohrmachinen und säge weil sie ein anbau beim schwimmingpool machen. das hatte uns aber natürlich niemand gesagt und der preis war trotzdem normal ein abschlag wollten sie nicht geben. auch rund um den hotel wird links rechts und hinten gebaut.ein paar meter weiter am strand hat es ein wunderschönes neues hotel modern und sauber für den gleichen preisen.aloha sieht im internet schöner aus als es ist . ich denke die fotos sind ziemlich alt.der lage am strand ist gut und stühle und handtücher gratis. just so so. Nice pool and nice beach. Good location. Breakfast very simple; not as expected. Very small room, bed matress was very old. Nice back pain when wake up. Has check out after 2 days. Too expensive compare to the level. There is some renovation but no noise; still acceptable. Staff does not speak English which is not convenient. I would recommend next door hotel; SAMUI SENSE, smaller swimmin pool but very nice staff; very clean; big rooms; good breakfast on the beach. For those you like quiet but nice place; please try Koh Phut in the north. Perfect location and beach. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

This has been our second visit to Aloha Resort & Spa. We had earlier stayed there during our visit to Koh Samui in 2006. The resort is located on the quieter Lamai beach so one is away from the hustle & bustle. Various places to eat and shop are at walking distance, therefore one can still have a quiet holiday and still enjoy shopping and trying out the various eating joints nearby. The resort is well laid out with a lot of greenery around. They have a nice pool. The beach is a few steps away. The restaurant Captain s Kitchen is next to the pool so one can relax on the deck chairs and have a relaxed meal. The staff are all very helpful and always smiling. The only problem at times is getting information or making yourself understood as they do not speak fluent English, but that does not deter one from getting around. The breakfast had a good spread. We enjoyed our stay at Aloha and will definitely visit again. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Nous avons passé quatre nuits dans cette hotel de classe internationale.Nous avions une suite avec un salon et une chambre indépendante.Buffet tres copieux et bon. Personel accueillant et efficace.Petite piscine.Seul inconvenient l hotel bien que dans le centre est assez loin de tout les centres d interets Tres bon rapport qualité-prix.

It was our first time to Thailand. And our first time to the Aloha. We were so pleased. The facilities are on the beach with a great restaurant. The staff were eager to please. WE are a family of four and are planning on returning to the Aloha and Thailand very soon.

We staied in the executeve suite (living room, bedroom, 2 toilets) It is the most expensive room in the hotel. The hotel is very old, many things are not working because of this( 1 toilet didn t work, I TV didn t, half of all lamps were broken, and some other things as well). The management is relaxed, English is very poor - can hardly understand what you need. I spent a lot of time describing my needs, but nothing was done. Good territory and good location, but you can defenatly find better! [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Good resort, maybe to big to be really familiar. We stayed 4 nights at one of the family rooms with backgard view. The room was big and clean. The staff was not very helpful. Breakfast was good. Vey nice pool, but it was problem to find free sun chairs, almost all of them was booked already at 09:00 am. The beach is OK, but not as good as in Chaweng. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

We had bungalow for the first 3 days which was lovely then we moved into a seaview room which was more expensive but no where near as good. Breakfast was good, location was good and all round the hotel was good and we would stay there again.

We had a fantastic stay att Aloha Resort. Great, big room for three people. Christmas eve was wonderfull. Helpfull staf and nice location. Big pool and right om the beach. I will absolutley go back there again.

I was in Aloha from 23 september 2007 until the 5 october. The very nice place... Very beautiful beach. Area around hotel is very green and really magnific. I think it s the best 3* star hotel in Lamai beach (I visited some other for compare). I will come back to this place.

After having avoided all the scams in Bangkok we were ”upgrade-scammed” by Aloha! Due to renovations (although apparently none were ongoing) we were ”upgraded” from one family room to two double rooms that were so dark that we paid a heavy fee for better rooms. The following rooms are so dark and offering no view at all (i.e. you look straight into a wall) that you should avoid them at all costs: 1109, 1209, 1210, 1407 & 1408. The following rooms are rather dark and not pleasant: 1108, 1208 & 1406. Rooms 1409 & 1410 are facing a next door soon-to-be building site, so watch out! Rooms 1101-07 & 1201-07 all offer excellent views! Apart from that it’s a nice place with a really nice pool area almost sitting on the beach. Not quite as impressive as the pictures suggest but really nice. Beautiful garden, too. Rooms are ok if nothing special but all 11xx-rooms have direct access to the garden, which is nice. 12xx rooms are 1st floor, 14xx are 2nd floor. One thing which annoyed us was the staff, which was overmanned and underworked and rather noisy, chit-chatting away at a rather high volume. Nice location with the Lamai Main Street just outside, which is good fun. The beach is nice and the water likewise, although unclear and useless for snorkeling. Check out the beach restaurant ”Rich Resort” 400 metres to the north. Superb! [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

This was a clean hotel with friendly, efficient staff and beautiful setting on the beach. The room was average sized, although dimly lit. The balcony was wonderful and we had a great view of the ocean. The bathroom was clean, although a leaky hose near the toilet perpetually leaked water on the floor. The complimentary breakfast in the morning was OK -- fresh fruit, yogurt, breads, made-to-order eggs, plus what looked like leftovers from the night before. Because breakfast is served on the terrace there are flies and ants running around the table. The pool and proximity to the beach are EXCELLENT! Therefore, if you are going to Koh Samui to spend time on the beach and lounge by the pool, you will not be disappointed with this facet of the hotel. Also, I highly recommend the beach massage, especially a masseuse named Baan. She gives the best massages I ve ever had! [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Just a good value for your money! Very helpful and pleasant staff, however they are not very good in English. The pool was clean, the bungalow was good equipped, the breakfast changed for some things every day. One thing upset me - disgustful WiFi internet connection for computers in lobby - use the intenet cafe close by if needed. In all other respects it was a great week in Koh Samui!!

This hotel is very good located in Lamai Beach. Situated on the main road but not very busy with traffic. Very friendly staff. Good housekeeping. Breakfast also good! Beach is clean,good swimmingpool with separate for children. No comments!

Aloha is a privately owned hotel with a good location. The garden is nice and so the deluxe room I stayed in. As normal with privately owned hotels in Thailand, the service is standard. The training is minimal and so is the staff s English ability. One would expect a little more when paying for a place like Aloha but no... They have some tailors in the lobby who bothered me every time to look at their clothes, so much so that I had to avoid the lobby. The breakfast was the normal Thai/Foreign breakfast. Crappy coffee, old yogurt, toast, sugary juice drink and flies all over the place. Not pleasant at all. Aloha is conveniently located, both to Ban Lamai and the beach. If the price was lower I would have lower expectations and would recommend it. As it is now (even in low season) it is not worth the money. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

This hotel is situated on the most beautiful stretch of beach on Ko Samui called Lamai beach. The hotel is also beautiful as well as the gardens, pool, and you can see the sea from the pool. The staff are very friendly and the hotel restaurant was also very nice. I would recommend it to anyone. And would stay here again in a flash. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

We had a grand deluxe room with a little seaview and poolview on the ground floor in the part of the hotel which was newly build in 2006. Big room. The room had a sophisticated way of handling the lights, TV and airconditioning with a small computerunit. Room was nice with a beautifull view into the garden and close to the pool (only a few metres) We never had problems with noise of the nearby restaurant or people playing in the pool. Personnel nice and helpfull. Breakfast good. Airconditioning of the room during our stay in the hottest part of the season worked excellent. Nice food and cocktails in the reastaurant against very reasonable prices. Hotel lies very close to the centre of Lamai which is an informal and not so cultivated town as Chaweng. We liked it very much.

We had a very nice impression of this hotel since the very beginning. Our room (Grand Deluxe) was nice, spacious and clean; the view from the balcony was beautiful... we could see the sea, the pool and the garden as well as the rest of the complex, and many many palms. The location of the hotel is just in front of the beach, there are just few meters between the pool and the sea... very comfortable for our 21 months old daughter, although you have go some steps down! The sea is not transparent there, however if you go to Koh Samui you will probably take a tour to the nicest places by boat. There are several restaurants on the beach, just few minutes walking on the sand, very nice to have dinner in front of the sea. Everything was very relaxing, just what we were looking for. We will surely be there again if we will be back to Koh Samui. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

We booked two rooms. There were some problems with the seaview room. The bathroom taps didn t work properly & no hot water for the first two days. Staff, however, were friendly and helpful. Good sea swimming out front of hotel. Had a good week there with family.
