Nice resort. Garden rooms were more than okay. But during night very noisy... sometimes very loud music until 5 o clock in the morning. But not fault of the resort. And finally too many russians in Lamai. If it s going on in this way you can forget Samui soon as a paradiseing holiday location. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Fantastic location for shopping and restaurants! A little walk (1-2 mins) through another resort takes you to the excellent beach. A great vareity of things to do. Very well-maintained rooms and hotel. Great staff! Very spacious rooms with great balconys. The pool was great and big. The breakfast was the best i have had in Thailand. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Of the three hotels we stayed in at Samui this was clearly the best one. Clean spacious rooms, nice pool, nice staff. The breakfast buffé could have had more variations from day to day. But we really enjoyed our stay here. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

had 1 week on lipa noi then moved to lamai . spent 1 week at samui palace for the 3rd time. every thing as good as before only problem was given a pool side room as requested but was given the room on the end of the block. this room had the stairs next to it which led up to the second floor. this was very noisy at night and 1st thing in the morning.although this is classed as a pool side room it should be cheaper than the other pool side rooms.had intended staying 3 weeks only stayed 1 week owing to the noise.all other aspects of the hotel were very very good as usual [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

the hotel is excellent. booked for five days, spent twenty! and it is eighteen months from the child., a pool large enough sunbeds vsem.personal attentive, cleaning and room service super. load up on breakfast and lunch. Absolutely gorgeous setting in the gardens around the pool - great pool too. Poolside rooms are the go for a bit extra quietness, but I d say it would only be the couple closest to road to suffer street noise very bad - as A/C often covers most sounds. Good Brekky and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was lovely and the cleaners quick and efficient as soon as we left room each day. Location is great for the bars, to the right of entrance was an arcade area of bars and the kick boxing ring, to the left was the soi s with heaps of bars and restaurants all around, the night market is directly across from driveway. I would definately stay here again.

Great location in the middle of the action of Lamai. No noise from the partyzone at all. I stayed in poolside room. The breakfast is very boring. You have to order a dish and only 5 to choose from. A buffet would be much better. All the people working there are nice and I would definetely stay here on my next visit.

Fantastic location only metres off the main drag (opp night market). So quiet and peaceful right in the heart of Llamai. Minutes from the best massages and the very excellent night food market. 3 min walk to the beach but I had a poolside room so just walked out of my room and had a swim when I wanted. The pool is huge and luxurious but this brings lots of noisy families with kiddies. Ipod is essential. Watch out for serial sunlounge hoggers -will put their towel on sunlounge all. I just threw them off after 30 mins or so. Selfish pricks. Staff were brilliant and the best after 10 holidays to Thailand. BBC and channel v would have been nice. Cant really givr 5 stars because they dont much. Great breaky and nice resident kitties and doggies. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Book this Hotel!! We stayed at a number of hotels in the area (more expensive) and did not enjoy them as much. This place screams Price for Value. The staff is amazing, rooms are clean and you have your privacy. Remember nothing is perfect, the breakfast is very basic (but enough) and the beds is a bit hard for my taste. Location is 30 secs from the main road (but extremely quiet) and 2 minute walk to the beach. The Pool is amazing and bigger than other hotels. We came here on our honeymoon and the decorated our room beautifully. I don t normally like writing reviews, but this hotel deserves it.

Great hotel, quiet location but 5 minutes from all the bars,nightlife, beach etc. Good pool, staff friendly and helpful but not in your face, rooms cleaned daily at your conveniance, breakfasts good, adequate choice and food prepared fresh. We stayed at the weekender twice before, am samui is cheaper and better and we will stay here every time from now on. Mick, Doreen, Eddy and Bridie from England. Very beautiful hotel with a large beautiful pool. The staff was the friendliest I have experienced!!! Rooms were modern, nice and clean. A bit of night noise (beating drums) crept in but that is to be expected in Lamai Beach, with its all-night bars and clubs. If you want very quiet, try Bo Phut Beach on Koh Samui. Excellent quality at a good price. Staff attentive, room clean clean. Breakfasts good, everything you need. Rested with her husband 10 days in August and the people at the hotel a little bit, no fuss. The beach is 3 minutes walk. Am Samui is a really lovely boutique property in central Lamai area. Although not beach front it is an easy stroll down a path to the beach. The rooms are just as pictured on the internet and are really new and clean. The beds are typical thai - Very firm. The bathrooms are spacious however do not have a hair dryer.The staff are lovely and very helpful. The pool is large enough for the size of hotel and there are plenty of lounges. The breakfast is very basic and not really a buffet but the price you pay for the room more than makes up for this. To overcome this we just went to the Grocery market and purchased a variety of fruit and breakfast spreads and just took our own to breakfast. For Europeans that want real bread ( not sweet bread ) there is a lovely bakery that is to the right as you leave the hotel and approx 200 metres down the road. They open early so you can grab a loaf before breakfast they also have lovely pastries for sale. There are plenty of eating and drinking establishments around the hotel that are in walking distance. Lamai itself is full of Bars and Bar girls at night with lots of single males trawling these areas. We were travelling with teenage girls and this sort of thing can be a little confronting at first. Having said that we were not bothered by any of these people and as with most of Thailand the Tailors are the most annoying people you will find on the street. Getting to Chaewang is easy and efficient and takes about 20 mins. If you dont mind travelling with the locals and other tourists you can travel in one of the troup carrier types of trucks for about 50 bht per head, they travel all day and night back and forth. You can get a cab for about 300 bht or a motor bike taxi if you are up for it for 150b. We really enjoyed our stay at Am Samui and if we were to return to Koh Samui would stay there again. Very nice 3 star hotel, friendly staff, good pool but no pool bar or pool bar services for that matter as previously anticipated. A little noisy at night time as hotel is located between a bunch of nightclubs, you can hear the bass traveling through the ground until at least three or four am. The sound of your aircon is good for dampening this bass. If you are young and single and enjoy partying till these hours then this is the perfect hotel for you. Rooms and vacilities were clean and in top condition. Pool area and the garden were lovely. The staff was friendly and the reception offered a wide range of services from laundry to motorbike rentals. Wireless internet worked well even inside the room and was fairly inexpensive. Breakfast offered for hotel guests was somewhat simple, but good enough. The location of the hotel was good, right in the heart of Lamai beach. The only negative comes from the fact that nightlife tended to be noisy and could be heard inside the rooms during the nights.

I stayed in the hotel for 6 nights in the Gardenview room. Everything was very clean. The garden is beautyful with wonderful flowers and you can hear the birds singing. The pool was very nice, the staff very friendly and helpful.The breakfast was good. Its just 2 minutes walk to the sea and near the eveningmarket and all the restaurants etc. I enjoyed my stay very much and will come back soon.

Very New, and very comfortable hotel. Staff excellent and they threw in a free breakfast everyday. It s so central and just off the main walking street. Easy access to beach. All in all a 5 star rating for a reasonably priced, well appointed holiday location. Highly recommended.

Breathtaking hotel. Very new and clean, room was of a high standard. Excellent furnature and in room facilites (pool side room). Location perfect close to city and beach. Pool was hotels best feature. Breakfast included simple but satisfactory. No resturant onsite but many within a short walk. Staff were helpful and efficient. Highly recommended. Complete luxary at an affordable price.

Stayed at this hotel for 8 days. the hotel was very clean and staff very friendly. It is very well situated in Ko Samui. The breakfast however would not be recommended.

The booking service at Sawadee is very well organised But I think their cut off of their bonus points is very unfair and needs to be looked at again if they really want their customers to benifit from it.

This place is off the beach but only a short walk (50m) through another hotel grounds to reach the beach. Its new, clean and centered around the pool. While its just off the main road I couldn t hear any of the road noise and nightlife. While this is good value for you $$, I feel its a bit overpriced for Thailand. Friends stayed at the Lamai 99 for half of what I paid and they were closer to the beach. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

I give Am Samui Palace 10/10 for accommodation and location in Lamai beach. If you can afford the place and wish to stay in Lamai definetly reccomend Am Samui. Great rooms, great service, great location, lovely pool. 2 thumbs up :) [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

wonderful place! the staff were really helpful and the pool is just perfect. only, there was some noise from the restaurant construction site (which means there is no breakfast included), but it seems that it would be over soon.

Hotel room was beautiful, pool was under constuction during my stay, which was a shame,but im sure will be beautiful . Staff was friendly, some more spoken english would have been helpful, no room service, fantastic location to resturants and shopping, room was very good value, had in room safe, air con, cable, and beautiful decor, i have wonderful memories of Am Samui Palace! Am Samui Palace is the ideal place to stay if you want to be close to the shops restaurants and bars.The staff were very friendly and always helpfull. I would recommend this place and will definatly stay there next time I visit Samui.

Wonderful, almost brand new hotel with a beautiful pool and nice big rooms. Two big negatives, though; First, way too close to the main street which is party central in Lamai, with fireworks every night at midnight and pounding disco music until 3AM. Second, no phones in the rooms. The staff were wonderful. Friendly, courteous, always smiling and helpful. They helped us book rental car, fishing trips, Muay Thai tix, scuba diving and many more activities. Better service than many fancy resorts because it was personal and done with a kind smile, plus everything they booked worked out perfectly, from pickup at the airport, until we were dropped off again 7 days later.

This is a new hotel, open less than a year. The rooms are of a good standard for the price with efficient air conm electronic safe, good shower and the bed was slightly more comfortable (softer) than similar priced accomodation I have stayed at in Samui. The location is excellent fi you want the lamai nightlife as it is only metres form the main street, shops and bars. There is a path through to the beach which is only 100 metres away. Wireless internet worked well. Staff were efficient and reacted very quickly to a minor plumbing problem we had. Nice gardens and pleasant pool and sundeck. This is a good place to stay if you are going to eat out in the town and use the hotel as a base. It is not a resort hotel with its own dining and bar facilities. I was vary happy with the accommodation and staff and will probably stay here again in the future. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Will happily recommend this hotel as a great place to stay in Lamai. The accommodation is pleasant and kept clean and tidy. Staff were courteous and helpful when I needed help or advice. Although right in the centre of Lamai just off the main street (opposite the Night Plaza), i was not troubled by the noise from the nearby nightclubs and bars. Wireless Internet was available although signal strength was low in my room and non existant during rainy periods. If Internet is a must whilst you travel then would suggest getting a room near to reception. Although they do have a business centre section near the reception desk. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

This is a quite new hotel which has a great location fronting onto the main street in the middle of Lamai. The rooms were a good size well equipped and cleaned daily. The staff at reception were most helpful and friendly. I would definately stay again [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]
