The second hotel from my holiday,not so happy,Not what it seem on the webside sawadee.com, Vieuwpoint restaurant all ready close,on the hill this side old restaurant full of new condo (not finich work) ,minni golf dirty( meaby the rain make dirty?). The nice breakfast buffet on the picture,No buffet,allecart but you can order a lot off food when have? Than 1 point make me yet more not happy, the have a concrete waste burning oven outside ,what make me your holiday not pleasant, garden area close to the street, and wind blow side Arayaburi Boutique Resort, i was go the receptie, for ask wath people do this no ansewer after 3 time ask, but she give me a beach bungalow,for 3 nights.This i the place alloon on the world, i not see tomuch people,when i see people on the chair and pool the people from outside can free chair and swimmingpool.Better 1 day visit on the beach.Only good have free car to Chaweng Beach day time.

Arayaburi is more remote than we thought, so no point avoiding breakfast deals. You need to use their service anyway.The bungalows were pleasantly spaced and large, with good fridge and tv with a few channels. Only Russia today and HBO in English. Jacuzzi pool very nice and we spent a lot of time there as it was protected from the wind. We had unusually strong winds and the beach waves were high and the pool near the beach was too windy . The Jacuzzi pool is a small swimming pool with blown air in places. Staff were very friendly and helpful and we were able to use the reception staff to book ferry to Koh Pangang [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

very lonely place. the sea small, in bad weather the muddy. beach silent. on everything to a beach two cafes. Comfortable big bungalows. Daily high-quality service. in number the conditioner, the refrigerator, a teapot, the hair dryer, electric means from mosquitoes, bathing dressing gowns and slippers. Big green territory. Good and various breakfasts. Friendly personnel. cafe, bars, restaurants, shops in 30 minutes of a driving from hotel. There is a shuttle which brings to a beach of Chaveng for the 100th baht from the person. On a reception hire of motor-bikes 300th baht days. Wi Fi badly works in numbers. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

As active retirees, we were impressed with this resort and it s location. If you need some downtime at a secluded resort we recommend Arayaburi. We experienced the BBQ dinner on the beach, which was somewhat pricey, but the experience was worth it. Breakfasts were served with gret attention by the staff, and always started the day off well. All the staff were very attentive and did their best to accomodate our needs. For those who wish to explore more of the island, try renting a scooter for 3 or more days (prices are better) This can be done either at the front office, or at the local store/travel agency outside the front gates. By doing this we were able to experience other beaches, various restaurants, and see the rest of the island. For shopping, do not bother until after 2.00pm as many places do not open before then. The room (superior villa) was very good and big enough for five person. The breakfast buffet was also good, but the restaurant was too expensive and too posh for us. The only nearby local restaurant country bar was very good and the price was 1/3. Beware of the Free drinking water in the minibar, it is not always free. The beach is good but you can t swim in the water. The water in the pool had a distinct smell, but I guess it was OK. It is a remote hotel, and overall I think that there is a mismatch between the rooms/price and the restaurant, ex. the waiters was too servile and not so welcoming as on other hotels

I was very impressed with the hotel from check-in to check-out. The rooms were actually better than the website photos, and location was perfect, being in a quiet secludeed location with stunning views. You can hire a scooter or car to get around easily, and it is easy to explore the whole island from here. The restaurant was an open-air terrace, great views and food and not overly expensive. Happy Hour at sunset (5-7pm) offered 2 or 1 drinks at the Beach Bar, and during the day beach was not crowded and lovely for snorkelling. Recommend this hotel to anyone, families, singles or couples, and would definitely return. Excellent value for money. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Arayaburi is a bit out of the way but it is a peaceful and serene resort. It suited my group fine as we needed the rest. The staff all speak English which was helpful. We tried to find some fault with the resort but could not find any. The food was excellent presentation was fantastic overall it was an excellent time spent there

Very kind staff, nice secluded location, about 15 min drive from Chaweng. Also not crowded now in the low season, we had a week of sunshine. For longer stay renting a motor is a must. I recommend renting from the hotel as the locals can rent you a motor in bad shape or with cut tires, hoping you/d get in a crash so they can charge for the damage. We had to change it and pay for it by ourselves,with kind help of the hotel rental. Its definitly worth the extra cost for renting here. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

A very very nice hotel at a really lonely and totally quitebeach( only3 hotel in this bay). This is a really perfect place for relaxing- u have 2 pools and the beach- nothing more nothing less!! We have spent nice week stay in the hotel. Hotel room not new but bungalowws perfectly ituated in wood/coconut trees area a very short walk to sea, reastaurant. Sea pool pefect and jacuzzi pool in the middle of the resort is more than perfect. The private beach is nice after cleaning (as first 2 days it was not cleaned). The only one problem is the travel to Chevang, the way takes 20 minutes and you should pay for hotel shuttle bus or taxi. In general I can recommned the hotel and will stay again if come back to Samui.

Upon arrival in Thailand we stayed at the Arayaburi Boutique Resort over the Christmas period with a 10 year old child. We found the location very beautiful and quiet yet with the facility of a jeep hire we could get out and about on Samui. Room was clean, cool and situated opposite a lovely small pool, tucked away in landscaped gardens-it felt like our own private pool. The staff were very friendly and attentive.If you are a traveller who requests towels constantly, then this is the place to stay! Breakfast was OK and Egg Corner most amusing!Good family or couple resort with lovely staff, would recommend you stay here for a good mid priced Samui base. See you next year! I always use Sawadee when travelling to Thailand (which I ve been doing for 21 years)and I d say this was the first time I made a mistake in choosing a resort. My family (myself, my wife and our 6 yr old) arrived on Jan 1st, 2009 having just spent 9 nights in Krabi and having booked the best bungalow (grand deluxe @ 5200Bht/night)and we we re shown to a complete dark, dingy, smelly excuse for a room at the back of the resort. We eventually persuaded the management that they had given us the wrong room, and were then shown to a beachfront bungalow more akin to what we were expecting i.e. clean, spacious with a big 4-poster and a great sea view. We dropped the bags off and had a look around. To say the place was deserted would be an understatement; the pool bar and restaurant remained closed for our 5 night stay and overall the resort looked a tired and fairly run down affair. Breakfast was served at an adjoining restaurant and was a soul-less affair, un-smiling staff who could nt even return a saswdee . We had breakfast on day 1 and decided not to have it thereafter. The sea was very rough during our stay, great for body surfing, but only if you could deal with plastic refuse wrapping around your arms and legs, not nice! The resort is a long way from anywhere, great if you want complete isolation but lacking severly in that there are no facilities (i.e.a decent place to eat) should you choose to do so. The resort runs a shuttle into Chaweng at 100B/pp/per way or 150B one way. We didn t even get a goodbye as we picked our bags up to leave for the airport and quite frankly I was pleased to see the back of this place, I wiouldn t go back, even if they paid me. PS during our stay we popped in to see the staff at the World Resort, Bo Phut, having stayed there 2 years running...it was like visiting a different planet, true freinds and a real Thai warm welcome!! Ver efficient, although I do not agree with paying in advance. Iwould have liked to have left the Arayaburi after 10 mins, but I would have lost my money as non-refundable. I believe this fact will lead to a loss of care from some hotel owners who are in a no-lose sitaution.

Lovely aspect- lovely rooms - quiet and self contained. The service was good. Restaurant was absolutely dreadful - the only thing we could come up with was that it was the slow season and there was no chef? So we would recommend taking the shuttle to one of the shop/restaurant areas. We did not swim in the ocean as there was no sea life in the rock pools and they were full of sludge which was disappointing and probably due to infrastructure not keeping up with the large amount of new building on the island. Arayaburi Resort is a very quiet peaceful resort with access to a lovely beach which is fairly private . The rooms are well appointed with ample facilities ie a full size fridge. Staff are very attentive towards guests and nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast is a buffet with food for all tastes. Housekeeping staff are very thoughtful as our person brought us wild flowers every day which wich was a very nice personal touch. We stayed for 16 days and enjoyed every day. We would recommend this resort for anyone wanting to chill. The resort is fairly remote so some form of transport may be needed if you wanted to explore the Island, we hired a small Jeep from the resort which suited our purposes. The hotel transport goes to Chawaeng several times a day which you have to pay for. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

April -07.A little bit unpersonal but good service. Nice looking beach but a little diificult to swim in the sea becuase of rocks and the sea a litlle rough. Pool very good for the children. Very nice hotel with spacious bungalows, large refrigerators and safetybox. A bit off but hotelbus 100 Baht/person to Chaweng beach one way (20 minutes). Beutifully situated restaurant overlooking the bay, 150 m sandbeach. Rocks under water, a little difficult to enter sea at low water. Staff very friendly. Left for Samui Natien Hotel at Chaweng beach but fled back to this oasis after 2 nights.. Good prices for rooms, only hotelrestaurant availible, hence higher prices than in Chaweng. We enjoyed the quiet location of the resort. We rented a motorbike, which gave us the freedom to explore other parts of the island. The beach is quite rocky, but peaceful. The food in the restaraunt was good, but you will find more variety and full price range away from the resort. Our Superior Villa was clean and very quiet. The staff was very helpful, especially the front desk, who arranged with Thai Airways to change our fligh at the last minute. If you want an affordable and peaceful escape away from the crowds, this is the place. We would recommend this resort to others. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]
