Helped out again by Ark Bar staff in getting preferred room . Party central of Samui . Have stayed 8 or so times and will stay again . Great staff and facilities . Once again DJ s could lower the music volume in the restaurant areas . Not a romantic getaway , a FUN one . [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Номер брали Премьер делюкс. Дали на 3-м этаже, так как на первых проходной двор. Убирают чисто, номера большие и уютные. На бассейне толком не покупаться, всегда толпа. Куча шумных соседей. В общем, для тусовочной молодежи в самый раз.

very very noisy with young Israeli s. we are also from Israel but the noise is not ok, you need to tell them not to hear so loud music and not shout in the middle of the night. Have an idea, to put lockers near pool for those who want to go to the sea but have things with them at the pool [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Once again loved the stay , enjoyed the hospitality but didn t appreciate the so called music volumes especially away from the party pool area . not overly relaxing when having a massage or trying to talk over a meal .But will stay again . Recommend . The party centre of Samui .

Fantastic hotel. 100% The best place to stay in Koh Samui.I Would never stay anywhere else and would certainly recommend Ark Bar to anyone who goes to visit Koh samui. From people who want to party to people who want to chill there are 3 Different pools! Party pool which has music blasting from 2pm everyday & then there s another 2 pools which are much quieter. Really Good of a a night time with music & fire shows. Food is great in a big restaurant area near the beach. Cant fault the place. 10/10

Staff were very efficient & helpful when I requested to switch rooms (up to 2nd floor from ground floor). Rooms were great for what we needed for our stay in Koh Samui, a comfortable bed & enough room to chill out after a big night! Would recommend to ask for a room further away from the beach if you want to sleep without hearing the base from the beach parties ;)

Good party resort for 20s to 30s but not if you want sleep before 2am,we were ok with that and thought beach party scene was very good. Из минусов номера deluxe with garden view: небольшие, темные, затхлость в ванной, кондиционер над кроватью и не регулируется. Плохая звукоизоляция учитывая тусовочный формат заведения. Если вам важно иногда нормально поспать, и хочется поселится именно тут - берите номера в южной части и подальше от бара и бассейна. Убирают норм. Мебель изрядно б/у. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Nice hotel with good location. Breakfast is good and the food in general is very good. Was a little concern about the party noise but it didn t really bother me since I was given a room away from the party pool with bar. I quite like the big balcony and the sound of planes descending . The hotel is not far away from the airport and you will hear the planes occasionally. All in all a good hotel to stay. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

The location of the resort is superb strategic and have an easy accessibility. However, surprising on the services from the staff which have the narrow perception especially reception team. This is really the place on Chaweng to See and be Seen! The house/dance music starts around lunch and can be quite loud, service on the beach is really good. If you however are looking for a genuine feel or some peace and quite you better look elsewhere. Could definately live without the weak WiFi and Bedbugs!

Stayed in a junior suite firstly in one of the newly completed 2nd level rooms , which had pool views ( only 50m from the swim -up pool bar) .The room was great , big en-suite with rainshower , huge comfy bed , big flatscreen plenty of space . BUT changed rooms to one of the older junior suites close to reception as I could not stand the constant rubbish music being blasted out poolside by so-called DJ s from 2pm everyday until 2am on some nights . Poolside conversation was virtually impossible as was relaxing in the room . I just hope this was only for the Christmas/ New Year period as it would be a shame to have such a great location and facilities ruined by such crap music at such ridiculous volumes . The staff were all hard working and friendly and reception assisted without question the moving of rooms after 3 nights/2 days poolside . I am a repeat visitor to The Ark Bar and know it is party-central and will stay again thanks to the staff and their efforts and in a room close to the second location . Room 2007 . But I do hope the pool/music situation changes and maybe some rock n roll / motown or reggae can be played during the afternoons . 2/1/13 until 8/1/13 . [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

2nd stay in a second floor junior suite and enjoyed again . Plenty of activities and parties on the beach but far away enough not to be able hear any of it . Rain shower in ensuite and big flat screen TV with dvd player in room . Big comfy bed . Guest friendly . 3 pools , one with a swim-up poolbar , 4 bars , 2 restaurant areas , food and service poolside or on the beach day or night . If you want to be in the middle of it then stay here . Have already booked for January . So reccommend .

Had a nice time. Great hotel, and maybe the best location on all of Samui. Near the partystreet and all the resturants. The water just by the hotel isent that good, but you can just walk 100meters and its good. The only thing i can take them on is the WIFI at the rooms closest to the beach. Will go back here!

A modest 3 star hotel. Rooms are small but OK. There are no drawers and/or night tables at all so we had to keep all of our stuff on the only table opposite the beds and in our suitecases. Bath room is very primitive and requires redesign. Breakfasts are OK (maybe because I m not that fussy as far as meals concerned). Attention to beach lovers!!! There is an awfull entrance into the sea since the hotel s part of beach is protected by the stone spit (bar) which does not allow full water to come to the beach. Water is shallow (up to the knee) and the bottom is covered with stones and sharp shells and corrals. We had to go about a 100 meters away from Ark Bar to the territory of neighbouring hotels where the sea and beach was good. But, we had to lay on our towers since sun beds and sun umbrellas belonged to other hotel and priority was given to that hotel s guests. Not good when the sun is frying you during the daylight. However, have to mention that Ark Bar has 3 pools so if you prefer to soak in chlorinated water instead of natural sea waters then maybe this won t be a problem for you. Ark Bar hotel is more for young people who don t care about the beach and like to drink and listen to the boom-boom monotonous sounds all day(I guess that s what they call house music) which is broadcasted from 2 pm through 4 am. I was surprised to see a lot of teenagers seeping alcohol with no parental control. Looks like that hotel does not care about it as well and they serve alcohol to everybody. It was more surpised by this fact when found out that this hotel is run by Europeans. Good thing that I liked was that they demonstrated all Euro Football cup matches on numerous TV screens. Location of the hotel is right in the heart of the Chaweng nigh life where you could find a lot of bars, restarauntes, little shops and boutiques. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

This place was not at all worth the money. It was in a great location and the bar was great but I could have paid significantly less money and got the same type of room somewhere else. The service is what really bothered me. To begin with the staff wasn t all that welcoming or helpful with any requests or questions I had. The real problem was on my last night there. Me and my friends were outside our room talking making a bit of noise at around 4 a.m. after coming back from a night out. The security then came up and yelled at us for being too loud and when we argued with them one guy pulled out handcuffs and started chasing after me. While this was going on the other security guy busted in my friends room looking for drugs and started harassing everyone with nightsticks hitting them and shouting MAFIA! We were shocked by this treatment when we pay like 1500 baht a night. But I guess this is a bit more of a reflection on Thai people in general rather then Ark Bar. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

excellent hotel in junior suites but i can never stay there again because of the euro trash music they play in restraunt it starts at 12 am sometimes we couldnt have breakfast cause music had already started im sure the record was stuck sometimes &they were only catering for 20year olds &non english speaking tourists [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Great hotel...Great service... The breakfast was great but for people coming to Thailand from the opposite time zone, would have been better if breafast time was extended from 11 am to 12 or 1 pm as it took time to adjust and we ended up wasting 6 x 2 coupons for breakfast as it was not the right time to eat breakfast.The restaurant serves breakfast till 4 pm but paid guests are only allowed till 11 am. Stayed in a good sized 2nd floor junior suite 100m from the waters edge and 60m from the nearest pool . Big comfortable bed , rain shower and couldn t hear a thing at night once all doors closed . The place to be if you enjoy a swim-up pool bar ( there are 2 others also ) lazy chill music good service , whether on the beach loungers or poolside during the day and a good atmosphere at night . Free beach party on Wed. and Friday nights and a stroll to nightlife/restaurants/massage/shopping/transport/bars if you fancy a change from the 4 bars and restaurants of The Ark Bar . Party resort, NOT for familys as my group of friends. Only young party people. VERY crouded by the beach, NO room for privacy. Dirty pools, especially by the poolbar. Would not recommend.

This hotel is great for people aged 18 - 28. It has 2 amazing pools, one with a swim up bar. They have a live DJ playing daily in the arvo. Great pool parties on Sunday and Fridays. I hightly recommend this Hotel. It is right on the beach and in a beautiful location. Close to everything. The staff are very friendly as well. We would definetly return. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

lovely hotel. nice rooms. only thing is dont go here if u want to get a nights sleep in peace. bangers goin off every night. our room was right on the main walkway to the ark bar. the noise of people walkin past at night shoutin and screamin and twice we had people tryin to get into our room by mistake probably cause drunk. wouldnt stay here again cause of that. This hotel is just perfect. very central to markets and restaurants. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The room itself is very clean and a great size. Had a great time at Ark Bar, we were in a Junior suite at Ark Bar 3(these seemed to be the nicest from pics,and did not dissapoint!) staff all very pleasant, towels and sheets changed everyday. We expected it to rain alot seeing as it was the beginning of November- it rained twice,for about 5 minutes each time, other than that the weather was fantastic! Plenty of things to do during your holiday, although people trying to lure you into their shops/taxis on Chaweng Beach Road is extremely annoying. This hotel is in a great location,very central and a stones throw from the beach- I d go as far as saying it s the place to be on Koh Samui, think it s more an institution than a hotel...everybody knows Ark Bar! Would definitely pay another visit here :)

A very nice resort. As a single woman traveller, it´s important to feel safe, which I indeed did. All staff are very nice and helpfull. And most important, there are staff everywhere. You never have to wait more then a few seconds, until someone always shows up. Book in advance, since it´s often are full booked.

I stayed in the newly refurbished ARK BAR 3 section. Beautiful rooms, perfect location, I could not ask for anything more. My main concern was wether the wi-fi was going to be reliable as I needed internet for business purposes, and this surpassed my expectations without fail. Well done!! I will definitely be staying at Ark Bar again on my next trip to Koh Samui and have begun recommending it to friends planning to visit. All staff, at the restaurant, the beach, reception, cleaners, drivers, bell boys..... all smile and are glad to assist you without fail. A real warm place that welcomes visitors proudly. stannade här i 10 dagar, och det är ett mycket trevligt hotell, med ös hela dagen och kvällen.. så nära stranden, du äter din frukost 50 m från den. du kan även gå längs med stranden och njuta av andra hotells serveringar på stranden.. på kvällarna drar alla sig in på den livliga gatan genom byn... där finns ALLT... shopping, mat, massage, barer, apotek, 7eleven, mcdonald, burger king, subway,pizzeria, mm.. och du bor nära till allt detta. finns bara gott och säga om ark bar, och hit vill jag och min familj igen.. The room (Junior Suite) was exactly as shown in in the pictures (cosy, stylish and clean) but unfortunatley, the windows/sliding doors were unable to absorbe all the noises (espec. party music) from the giant beach bar which made it almost impossible to sleep. Hence, I would recommend the hotel (without any hesitation) only to those seeking long party nights amongst tourist crowds... [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

An OK room for start of the holiday but ruined by an adjoining door to the next room when the guest next door was very noisy and obnoxious one night. However the security tried to stop it but could not. We did get a free upgrade to a much better room - I would recommend this hotel but go for the expensive rooms. The hotel is very comfortable, the water does not smell and the aircon works fine. Beds are comfortable and there are plenty of pillows and cushions. Breakfast is adequate, coffee is only instant though you can purchase espresso additionally to the breakfast.

We booked this hotel thinking it will be spacious and booked sea facing. But on arrival to our horror rooms were extremely small and no sea view room was available. Staff refused to give any other room. It is very noisy as in the middle of the happening nightlife. This hotel is only for those who only wants to party all day long n crash. but not for honeymooners like us. They have beach party but would not like to stay in the rrom neither itz romantic. Hotel and Employees were great. Thai people selling things on the beach absolutly ruined our stay at the Ark Bar. If it wasn t for that we would have come back to stay again. Everything else was wonderful but being hassled on the beach and restaurant will stop us from staying again.

We enjoyed our stay, a lively resort in Chaweng very close to all the night life. Only one pool whist we were there but that was very nice, not too crowdwed but low season.

All staff were very helpful and cheerful. Hotel is centrally located, the pool and beach area were kept very clean. A very pleasant stay. I would definitely recommend and I shall be returning

Although the very bad wheather conditions the stuff did its best to support the guests.Appreciating very much the free airport service, the reasonable room and foodprices as well as the service and very friendl stuff.. I liked the atmosphere at Ark Bar 1. A very good place for younger people interested in night life. But when checking in I ve had to deposit a key refund of €25,-- in cash, which I haven t got back while checking out. I ve mailed a request for a reimbursement via my credit card, but without any respond so far. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

small hotel territory, swimming pool close at 8 in the evening.VERY Rude and lazy staff. Poor breakfast. Restaurant is not so good but rather expensive. very, very, very noisy. If you re going to sleep at night you can do it only about at 3 in the morning. we left at 7 a.m. and they didn t gave us our prepaid lunch-box, though they promised the day before. high appraisal is on sawadee.com service doesn t correspond to the facts. Great location in the middle of the action on great section of the beach, good food, nice beach front dinners, the room we had I felt was bit too expensive and very small especially the bathroom, stayed for 7 nights and no issues with the hotel. It is on the best beach of those we visited on the island so I recommend this area and the hotel for sure. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

We staid in superior room and the room was ok but the bed and towels was very dirty. The room was located on ground floor wich was vary noisy when people was getting after partying the whole night. We stayd for only one night and will never go back. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

although we enjoyed our stay at the ark bar and couldn t fault the rooms facilities and location are stay was ruined by finding that between us we had english cash, thai cash and clothing taken from our room!

Ark Bar was a fantastic place to stay for us. It is located in the heart of the Chaweng Beach party precinct, and the rooms are well serviced....not to mention close to brand new. The staff were also very helpful, booking us taxi s for airport transfers, aswell as making sure our laundry was done as quickly as possible.

I found the new manager to be extremely unhelpful and rather rude as my sister who has stayed at Ark Bar several times had proved she had made a booking but there was no record of any such booking and as a result, the manager did not help at all or offer any apologies or alternate suggestions on what could be done. On a separate note, I don t like what they have done with consolidating the Ark Bar with several other hotels. It was a very different stay for me this time. The atmosphere of the place wasn t the same and the food was nowhere near as good as usual but I ll go back, simply to find out that this was a one off experience where I didn t enjoy it or whether I will be looking for a new place to stay in Chaweng. Very nice Hotel on a good location in Chaweng. Just in the middle off the beach. Everything is around between 200 meters off the Hotel. Also the longe music with life DJ on the wednesday whas very good. Saw some movies on You Tube. Hotel room not big but everything is in it, good working airco and television, in house safe. perhaps the breakfast is a little bit poor and every day the same. Also it can bother some people about the planes which come over every our very low because off the runway is at the back off the otel.

Hotel was in a central location the room was good value for money although bench space in bathroom was very limited.Hotel was located off the main road which was great for noise reduction and the restaurant provided great breakfast.Easy access to beach and bike hire near reception was conveniant.

The best thing i liked about the hotel were the staff and the location. Great people to deal with and very accomodating. The pool wasnt ready yet but im sure it will be the next time i come to visit.
