The Buri Rasa Village in Chaweng is our favourite resort on Samui. My wife and I cannot fault the resort in any respect whatsoever. It is well situated in the middle of the lovely Chaweng Beach. The service levels are excellent, the staff members are all friendly, the breakfasts are stunning and the facilities outstanding. Full marks to the management of the Buri.

My husband and I stayed here in December. This was the 4th time in 5 years we visited the resort. It is well situated just outside the village centre and the resort itself is stunning and well tended. The staff members are very friendly, helpful and professional. They always greet the guests with warm smiles and do their utmost to please and help everyone. The rooms and bathrooms are clean as well as the garden en beach area. Breakfast is nice with a great variety in food from the buffet and made to order. Try the banana pancakes. Delicious, the best you can get! Dinner at the beach is very romantic and the food is good. There is also a complimentary High Tea in the afternoon and fresh fruit in the rooms every day. The serene atmosphere of the resort has changed somehow since KC resort opened next door. Although they play music during the day at the weekends the noise isn’t that bad. It certainly will not deter us to stay here again in the future.

My wife and I spent 8 days at the Buri Rasa Village from the 4th to the 12 July 2013. What a pleasant experience! We were blown away by the perfect setting, the quaint atmosphere and the excellent service which we received at the resort. On the Northern side of the hotel is a massive construction site of a new resort nearing completion. We have read in some of the reviews that the noise from the construction work was disturbing. We stayed in Room 23, immediately adjacent to the construction site. Whilst we certainly heard the noise, especially during the day, this small temporary inconvenience was completely neutralized by the overwhelming friendliness and excellent levels of service of each and every member of the staff. The breakfasts were exceptional and the small gestures of personalized notes and small gifts on our beds each evening and the snacks which were served over lunch times while we were lying on our beach beds, made a lasting impression on us. We went to Buri Rasa because the resort was ranked no 1 out of more than 60 resorts in Chaweng. We were not disappointed. The ranking was certainly justified and we will certainly be back again soon. this was our second visit to buri rasi. our room wasnt available so we were upgraded to best room in village.the regular staff remembered us from last year and as usual all went out of their way and beyond to look after us.the food was still the best we have tasted in chaweng, five star dinners.if you have young children it is ideal as you walk out onto a beautiful clean beach and calm water.walking in of the busy street it is hard to believe that it could be so serene and quiet inside.top marks once again. Hotel very well located 2 steps from the lively center of Chaweng and along the very beautiful beach. The access to the rooms is made through the beautifully landscaped gardens, it is a place of beauty and tranquility. The rooms are spacious, very nicely decorated, and quiet. The entire staff is wonderful, smiles, kindness and devotion are the natural daily. From a small welcome in the room with delicate attentions evening everything is done in the refinement for the client to feel like a guest here. Would recommend without hesitation. Lovely small resort with a friendly welcoming atmosphere. Just far enough away from the clubs to not get the noise but close enough to walk home after a big night. We fell in love with Buri Rasa and would return in a heartbeat! We ve stayed in some pretty nice places over the years, many of them five star, and this is up there with the best of them. The stunning beach (definitely the best part of Chaweng to stay in), intimate surroundings, gracious professional staff and attention to detail make this a fabulous holiday spot. Six nights at Buri Rasa Village. Staff were wonderful, in particular, Arm, Porn, and Chart were always there to provide their assistance with a smile. Privacy offered by design of small courtyards was great, and assisted with maintaining a quiet, private relaxed feel. Even though the bed was comfortable the only disappointment was the size of the bed. We had expected it to be larger. Location is excellent as it is on the beach, close enough to walk into main area of Chaweng, but far enough away to avoid the late night entertainment noise. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

This place is great and the service is very good. I have travelled extensively but this location is perfert if you want to be in the Chaweng area (close/walking distance to the action), but would like to sleep well. The beach is also great both low tide and high tide. The only negative is that you will have to use bug spray early morning and evening...but again this is the tropics. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

We stayed for one week in the Buri Rasa Resort and we enjoyed it very much! The staff is very friendly and helpful, the beach is one of the best at Chaweng. The rooms were very clean and included everything you would expect in this price category. The first night we spent in a garden court room which was not the best experience (kind of a must was in the air). For the rest of the stay we then moved to the second floor into a Premium Deluxe room which was perfect. For us Buri Rasa was the perfect combination between recreative holidays and nightlife (central Chaweng Beach...). The hotel is maybe not the best choice for families (facilities). Looking at this resort on the web site you would think it is totally wonderful. The truth is that it is one of the least impressive resort that I have stay at in my eight trips to Thailand. My wife and I had originally booked in for seven nights but left after one night and then stayed at Centra Sumi down the road (which is totally fantastic) The rooms are basic no bath tub or hand held shower, cold polished concrete floors and walls. to get into the dip pool you have to navigate over dirt and stones that are wet and slippery. My wife had an encounter with a snake near the dip pool at night. The main swimming pool is a basic rectangle and totally uninteresting. At Centra it has a large free form pool with a swim up bar. The timber work on decks and doors is tired and worn. I am only writing this as I was dissapointed as the expectation I had from the web site was great. Buri Rasa Village is not worth the money they are asking. I do not have a problem paying a high proce but I expect quality for my money. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Great resort, very well maintained and staff make you feel special. We were upgraded due to the building work going on next door. Evening turn down service with little treats a nice touch. Lounge had 2 pcs to use free of charge, which was handy. Would stay there again

The Buri Rasa was an overall amazing experience. The hotel is lovely and the service unbeatable! Excellent location in the heart of Chewang Beach but the hotel itself is so quaint quiet it felt like worlds away. Nous avons séjourné dans cet hôtel début septembre 2009 en profitant des discounts de la saison. Cet hôtel est très bien situé car tout en étant dans le centre de Chaweng, il est un peu à l écart de la partie la plus bruyante. Les chambres sont impeccables et spacieuses . Le petit déjeuner est divin (nous n avons pas testé le restaurant qui a très bonne réputation mais dont les prix ne sont pas donnés.) A noter peut-être un petit manque d ambiance certainement dû à la période de début septembre. La piscine peut surprendre par son look moderne et sa taille moyenne mais en fait il y a souvent peu de monde , la plupart préférant la plage attenante. A surveiller : le terrain à gauche de l hôtel vient d être rasé ce qui promet pour la nouvelle saison fin 2009-début 2010, des travaux (et du bruit?) pendant la construction d un nouvel hôtel. Bilan : adresse de standing en liaison avec les prix pratiqués en haute saison. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Buri Rasa is a great place to stay! The location is perfect; just in the middle of Chaweng beach. The beach is also great, not to busy, and very clean. The hotel is a small-scale hotel what makes it very relaxed to stay and enjoy al the luxury. We even made an early return from Koh Tao to stay some more nights at Buri Rasa! Wonderful small boutique hotel with excellent staff. However , the Green Olive rest. is very pricy for Thailand and the menu offered is lacking in inspiration. Perhaps management should consider a new , Thai national , Chef. Location on Chaweng is not too loud considering the Bars in the area , but mosquitoes may be a problem for some guests. We just spent 10 days at the Buri Rasa Village. Between 8am and 5pm we experienced some noise from the adjacent building site. However we booked expecting this and received a discount price. Whilst the nose was audible in our room Rm17 the noise was not audible on the beach front, or from the pool and bar area. The hotel is well situated on Chewang beach. The rooms are very nice and the beds very comfortable. The service at this hotel is second to none. Nothing is to much trouble. The breakfast is good, the coffee whilst not great exceeded my expectations for Koh Samui. The Green Olive Restaurant is a little expensive by Koh Samui standards but the food is excellent. Across the road is Ninja Crepes for a cheap alternative and the food whilst not in the same class as the hotel is a still very good. I also recommend going on an island kayaking and snorkelling tour, and I highly recommend the Blue Star Operator. All in all I would have not problem recommending the Buri Rasa to anybody. Our stay was wonderful and once again the staff are fantastic nothing is too much trouble. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Very nice small (only 32 rooms) hotel in a good location on Chaweng Beach. It s not in the middle of the lively night club area instead bit more south which makes it nice and peaceful. The beach is not grouded there and it s quite clean. There is a construcion work next to it so you should request the room on the other side since the work starts at 7am! The service is very nice and the breakfast is great. The pool is very small and it s almost impossible to swim there if there is more than 1 person in it. The spa is beautiful but quite pricey but there is plenty of massage shops and restaurants on the Chaweng Beach Road right outside the Buri Rasa. The best things on my opinion are the location, rooms and breakfast!

Hotel is well designed, giving a feeling of in a small village. And Delux with a dip pool room is highly recommended for family with kids. There is a garten, so kids can play in the garten. But beach is a bit dirty.

Fabulous hotel, worth every penny we paid for the rooms. Great location, unbelievable service and superb hospitality. We chose the rooms with the private dipping pool which I would highly recommend. Impressive breakfast offering and wonderful service everywhere. For a fantastic beach massage check out the massage facility just beside the hotel beach (south I believe). The hotel recommends Timmy tailor just a couple of 100 meters (600 feet or so)north of the hotel (turn right as you leave the hotel) and we too thought that he offered great product. Tell him that you heard about him from his Canadian customers! For exceptional inexpensive food try the 24 hour restaurant right across the hotel. Place doesn t look great but don t let that fool you. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Buri Rasa is a very beautiful resort. It is nestled in the middle of Chaweng Beach- but very quiet inside the resort. When you like to have the full action you have only to leave the resort and you are in the big Chaweng Road with all the shops, restaurants and entertainment.The stuff is absolutely the best we have ever met in Thailand. The deluxeroom we booked was very nice, big enough and clean. We will stay there next year again.

We booked 2 standard rooms. Rooms are ample in size and nicely decorated. Road noise was not a problem in our rooms though ours were closet to the lobby. Good beach location. Service was very good property wide, though they could improve their beach and poolside bar service and likely achieve more sales. Breakfast buffet on the light side, but ample and had my favorite; smoked salmon! Would certainly recommend this place to anyone. Only wish they had had rooms to extend our stay. BTW, Sawasee offered room pricing discounts that hotel would not match with direct inquiry.

The hotel was fairly decent, but overpriced in our opinion. For those of you considering this place, here s what you can expect. When we first reached the hotel, we were a bit nervous because it looked a little dumpy. For the price we were paying, I expected more. We checked into the room (Junior deluxe) and found the room to be quite small. The mattress sits quite low to the ground and has the mosquito net around it - a bit daunting to think we would have to be very carful with mosquito bites. The grounds are all lush with plants so mosquitos will always be there. Be sure to bring and use your mosquito repellent. The bathroom was OK - good size - but with a large wasted space that had a small ladder, a large bucket with water filled from a rustic looking tap. I guess it s just there for looks, but the space could be better used by making the room bigger. The wifi access in the room was flawless - this was important to us. The beach was well kept and clean and service on the beach was good. If you want chairs on the beach, it would be a good idea to reserve a couple before going to breakfast. They will hold it for you so you don t have to worry about not getting chairs on the beach. Don t expect much for breakfast. It s decent with fresh eggs cooked to order and a few buffet dishes (fried rice, noodles, potatos, sweet breads, juices etc.)Pretty basic stuff, but adequate. All in all, I would say it was expensive for what you get (we paid 6600Bhat - 4 nights get one free, so the average cost was about US$158 per night. Another important note - the staff was very good and accomodating - very important to us. Apart from breakfast we did not eat at the hotel. The restaurants did not look good to us. The beach bar was closed for renovations. We stayed at the Central beach resort the last time around, for about the same price. It s a bigger hotel and has all the trappings of a luxury resort. I wanted to try something different this time, but truth be told, we will probably stay at the Central next time as I prefer the luxury of that kind of hotel, not to mention the large variety for breakfast and lots of bars and restaurants on the grounds itself. This hotel is great. Located on the best section of Chaweng Beach - all staff really friendly & helpful, particularly the pool / beach team (they are brilliant)Breakfast choice is a little limited but excellent all the same. Accommodation was great - very clean and comfortable and unbelievably quiet given the hotel s location next to the main road.Aircon was excellent - efficient and quiet. Only drawback with the room was the absence of a bathtub - large shower however. Very handy IT area with complimentary library section. Didn t use the hotel restaurants as too much local choice on the doorstep - however those guests that used them were very complimentary. I have been a hotel General Manager for nearly 30 years and you can take my word that if you choose this this hotel you will have made a very good choice. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

lovely hotel and good location on the nicer side of chaweng beach. the spa is excellent and suprisingly underbooked. the staff was helpful and friendly, especially in the spa and at the beach bar, but have to say that some of the restaurant staff seemed to be put out when i asked for something. not sure if that is a language issue.

My husband and I stayed at Buri Rasa as part of our honeymoon and I can highly recommend this hotel. The hotel is lovely, great spot right on the beach, yet very private from the main street and further away fromthe hussle and bustle on the beach. The service is excellent, the food was great. The rooms were fine, not as large as some but they were very private... go for the room with the dip pool. Would stay here again for sure, after taking a look at some other hotels along Chaweng Beach, I think this one is one of the best. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

We have just returned from 8 nights staying at the Buri Rasi. We would highly recommend staying at this boutique hotel, the staff were so friendly and helpful and could not do enough for us. We celebrated New Year at the hotel and the nights entertainment was great. We will definetly be returning in the near future and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to Chawen Beach, Koh Samui.

Great, we meet a few people in Koh Samui and they had all used the Sawadee.com website to do their bookings. I have already forwarded the site onto 3 groups of friens.
