even i had a short time there i would like to say that this is a very relaxed, friendly place. The bungalows are clean, have tv, very good air con. The food at restaurant is excellent and the owner is working hard to make it right for everybody. Can really recommend it, only thing..if you arrive at night it can be hard to find. Написано все удобства, но по факту горячая вода, только в дорогих бунгало, интернет тоже. Каждый номер оформлен типа дизайнерски, это,конечно, прикольно, но я вот случайно облокотилась на светильник и он треснул, это был просто зеленый кусок стекла, а с меня сняли 2000 батт, хотя, мне кажется, они его потом просто склеили(он у них весь месяц лежал, не выкидывали) Ну вот какая-то нотка, скажу мягко, обмана, чувствовалась. А я это очень не люблю(( Но в целом норм.

The owner did not seem too interested in the fact that the safe that was booked with our bungalow did not function. After we changed the bungalow, we had a hard time to get the safe working, as only the owner, but not the employees, can make the necessary settings. Since he was absent that day, the setting was possible only another day later... Other than that, the bungalows are quite big and as clean as possible in this category, but some ants are inevitable. Beds are very good! The food in the seaside restaurant is ok, but other restaurants along the (very quiet) beach are better. When we had trouble with the air condition, we were helped immediately.

The Bungalows are clean. Only 30seconds from the beach away :) good selfmade Pizza. The Manager is nice but i think his business is selfmade pizza and not the bungalowguest. The beach is clean till the afternoon, then you Could only go by air matress into the sea. But we liked the plane. We would return! Die Bungalows waren für den preis super und der Chef ist auch nett, nur merkt man, dass sein Geschäft im pizzamachen liegt und er sich daher nicht wirklich um die Gäste kümmert, wenn das nicht stört ist alles super zu diesem Preis! excellent location,nice beach,good food,perfect set up and atmosphare. The matrasse is a bit hard though but I bought myself a peace of foam (on the main road) for 200.-TB and than it was perfect, the linnen and towels got changed daily. There is a German Coffee Shop at the beach with the best coffee in Samui.

Beautiful location, but even though the resort is on the cheap end of the scale it seems as though the owner/owners dont care. Out of my seven night stay my room was not serviced twice and if I had not made a fuss on the third occation it would not have been done yet again. The condition of the bungalows is very poor with none working light fittings hanging from the wall in the bathroom. Not impressed [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Pretty bare bones. The AC worked well in the cement room. The bathroom was always hot and a bit stinky. Very pleasant location towards the far end of Bophut. I found the ocean breeze out here always very pleasant even when Bophut town was still and stifling. The bar/restaurant is a great place to hang out. Thai massage platforms are right here on the beach. It s about a 15 minute walk along the beach to where the town starts. Walking out to the road is pretty far out of the way and not very nice. Very basic with cold shower which I did not expect but clean and pleasantly surprised as expected worse. Nice private beach and very peaceful. However very scary to get back to after midnight asno lights and down a bumpy alley with barking dogs but very different feel in the day. hello .. I booked 4 nights at my arrival ... I have nr bungallow. You get 7 ... of the bungalow was very stuffy and smelled of damp and mufffelig .. After two hours I ve swapped the bungalow and no. 8 can get ... which was just as bad ... a night I have endured ... I booked this place online after recommendation from friend at my gym. When I arrived I paid in full after paying deposit online without seeing room. When I saw the room it was disgusting - mouldy mattress, smelled terribly of damp, heaps of mosquitos in room, air conditioner only working intermittently, only one english channel on tv, only wireless internet in cafe area. Although cheap I would not recommend staying here at all, ever. The owner eventually arrived and gave me back half my money but only after pressure to do so. Not up to any sort of standard and obviously not looked after - I didn t even stay a night and left immediately. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Nice location, just a step from the beach and to other good resturantes and bars. The stuff are very nice and friendly ,but the bungalows are in a very poor condition. We hade to change bungalow after our first night because Of the very bad bed and moldy smell. So we upgraded from fan room to AC room wich was much better but still a moldy smell. We would not recomend this bungalows you can find much better for the same price or even less and thats what we did! Cactus Bungalow is good value for money. I paid a bit more for an air conditioned room and this was worth it as I had some friends staying in a single room with just a fan and the mattresses were just thin bits of foam (not good if you suffer from a bad back!). However, my double room had 1 bed with one of these thin foam mattresses, but the other bed had a much better mattress. The air con worked well but a touch noisy. The staff are very friendly and are willing to help whenever possible. However, I did pay to get some laundry done and when I got it back it was clean but smelt of bonfire smoke! The bar is very good and sells all sorts of Thai and European food. Good value as well...much cheaper than a lot of the resorts for food and drink along Bo Phut beach. All in all, a nice 9 days spent at Cactus Bungalow and would recommend it as a cheaper option. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

This place is a value stay with excellent location. I beds are really old and have not been replaced or upgraded for over 10 yrs. You are sleeping on the springs and the pads are practically gone. Not only that but the beds also have bed bugs. I had them change my sheets, but it didn t really help as the bugs just crawl through. I stayed 6 nights and got the fan room. I ve gotten up in the middle of the night to shower because of bed bugs crawling in my crouch. Lucky I brought my own sleeping bag, otherwise, I would not be able to sleep. I slept the last 3 nights with my sleeping bag. The bathroom is ok but needs better ventilation. You really have to air it out because the vents are small so poor air circulation, otherwise, bacteria starts growing. I ve had to close the bath door because of mosquitoes in there. I only planned to stay at Cactus for 1 night, but extended my stay for another 3 nights as it was such a great place, good value for money. Bophut beach is ideal for a quiet stay in Samui. Cactus is right on the beach, with a reasonably priced restaurant. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

I stayed here 6 nights and I really enjoyed it. The bungalows are clean and the stuff is very friendly and trying to help you with everything you need. The beach is beautiful and you can walk in about 15 minutes to fisherman village. The restaurant has a good look over the beach, only the coffee could be better. You get good value for your money. I would recommend it.

Really nice bungalows with enough space. Loved the bathroom, only it s smell a little less (sulfuric). The view from the reception / restaurant is gorgeous. Private beach is wonderfull. Nine of us stayed at Cactus for 3 days. The bar / restauranr was pretty good, and in a great location on the beach. The staff and owner were pretty good and very fiendly. Our only complaint was the mattresses are like rocks! Good value for money!

We were staying in the fan bungalow (400thb) for 3 nights. The bungalow was nice and clean, with nice small bathroom. Situates only few steps from the beach. Staff was very kind and helpfull, free wifi. We also rented a motorbike from cactus resort with no problems. Food was very tasty and afordable. We were very satisfied.

Me and my boyfirend travelled around Koh Samui for 3 weeks and chose to stay at Cactus Bungalows as our first stop. Downside: Access to the resort/Bungalows is quite restricted and would be difficult for anyone with limited mobility to stay here. The shower was very hot but warm, (just what you need when it s 35 degrees outside). Positive: We really enjoyed our stay here. We rented the Beach front bungalow and it was exactly what it said on the tin. Less than 10 metres to the beach/ocean, the food was superb and great value for money, the staff were very welcoming and willing to assist with any queries we had. I loved the location, 10 minutes walk along the beach to the Fishermans Village and 10 minutes the other way to Mae Nam. We really enjoyed our stay here and would reccommmend it as a value for money, no frills place to stay. We would stay there again. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

les bungalows bien que simples et sans fioritures sont un excellent compromis pour ceux qui ne veulent pas exploser leur budget tout en profitant d un endroit calme et sympatique...Un petit coup de peinture pourrait cependant etre envisage par le proprietaire.La cuisine est excellente et d un cout tout a fait correct. Le persomnnel est chaleureux.Seul point negatif, le prix du taxi venu nous chercher a l aeroport soit 600 bth pour 2 alors qu il etait annonce a 300 bth...Donc ne pas hesiter a demander avant d embarquer

A nice very inexpensive bungalow right on the beach. Great value! The restaurant is good too, with a beautiful view. However, the mattress was well worn and the TV only got 4 channels, but for the price it was definitely worth it. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Les bungalows sont basiques mais corrects par rapport aux prix. Le site et les bungalows nécessitent quand même des gros rafraichissements pour être vraiment au top. L emplacement sur la plage de Bophut est idéal. Le personnel est accueillant et à l écoute. Endroit agéable et calme [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

The room was quite ok althoug the beachfront was not really with see view as there was a massage shop in front and restaurant bar on the side. The aircondition was not working at all (blowing only a little of hot air)and we couldnt sleep because of the heat in the room. We could have still liked the room if only there was a fan....the thai people working there were very kind and did a good job. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

ein absolutes dreckloch !toilette funktioniert nur teilweise , matratze komplett durchgehangen , schmutzige bettlaken und alles (fernseher , klimaanlage und diverse halterungen ) teilweise defekt oder nicht mehr vorhanden ! der einzige! beachfront deluxe bungalow liegt zwischen restaurant und nachbarpool, hinter der massagehütte . wir sind nach einer nacht (2150 THB ! ) abgereist !

Very nice place to stay, great location just in front of Bophut beach, staff is very helpful and friendly. hotel is run by a French guy very helpfull. I just paid 700 BTH and it s great value for money. If come back to samui I will stay here again. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Nothing fancy, but adequate in all respects. For beach massage don t go to the place closest to the bottom of the steps, but the one right next to it (turn right as you re coming down the steps). The reggae bar a little further up the beach also seemed a little more happening than the Cactus s - though to be honest everything was pretty quiet, it was the low season.

Nous avons occupé le bungalow N°1, le plus près du restaurant et de la plage (10 métres environ). Chambre avec grande baie vitée, clim., eau chaude, grand lit, TV et propre. Accueil charmant.

We enjoyed our stay at Cactus, nice and peaceful, bungalows were clean and equipped with AC and our beachfront room was great value for money. Cactus location is great, right on the beach but much quieter than the fishermans village area. Staff were friendly and good food for a reasonable price, we would come back again. Bathrooms could be improved but thats it.

Cactus Hotel is not good value for money. The restaurant is very expensive too. The owner of the hotel does not welcome people, does not care. The breakfast (not included) is poor. The location is far from the center of Boh Put. I do not recommend this place to anybody !!!

Hi Jeff and Staff. Thank you so much for a holiday of a life time. You and your staff are really great and made our holiday the best.7people in one group is hard but we had an amazing time and did not have one problem. Cactus Bungalow is a Really Great location, amazing views. Staff are super friendly and so helpfull. Rooms where very clean and spacious . Stayed here for 3 weeks would recommend this location to anyone. Thanks again for everything and hope to see you again in the near future.

Really dissapointed with this place, the accomdation was disgusting the walls and mattres and pillows we re completly covered in mould it stunk!! Rooms never cleaned, sheets horrible on arrival and never changed, bins never emptied and never received toilet roll, Managment not very friendly either! Cactus was excellent value for money, location and had a fantastic chilled out atmosphere - much better, in my opinion, than Chaweng Beach which appeared noisy and crowded. The food at Cactus was delicious and value for money and the staff friendly and funny. We had a great holiday there. If I was being really picky, maybe the rooms could do with freshening up but I would still recommend Cactus to everyone. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

I ve enjoyed the place, the beach, the food,the massages on the beach ,the smiling faces ,the location , the fisherman s village,the cute small bungallow, lot s of cactuses and flower s to look at , birds to hear in the morning ,you don t hear cars,quiet at night.Perfect, except for the extra firmness of the bed ,but I adapted to that easely with a swim in the morning sea. In our opinion this place was well over priced for what you got! the restruant is very expensive and the rooms do not look like they do on the website! the location however, is picture perfect...The mattress is saggy springs and not really comfortable and i would rather suggest Queen s Botique Hotel in Chaweng - a much better deal that includes a great breakfast! The booking process was very easy and got response within hours. The bungalow was located right on the beach. Very nice and relaxed environment. Thir were nice restaurants nearby. One the Blue Samui just 10 mins walk served lovely very cheap food. One dish usually about 90 Bhat, and the food was great. The staff were helpful at the hotel. the only downfall with the hotel was the walk into the actual bungalow area, at night was very dark and hard to find. Overall nice hotel to stay if you want peace and quiet on Bohput Beach.

Loved it! Really pleased with the great value for money! For $17n.z or 400 thai bht I expected to be sharing a bathroom.But to my delight here I was in a lovely bungelow with my own ensuit and right by the beach! It was great to be so close to the warm sea,as travelling alone I could lock all my belongings in my roon and venture out into the sea. I think it to be a very romantic and quiet place for honeymooners too. So peaceful!Lovely to sit in their cafe overlooking the beach.I had heard Koh Samui would be expensive ,but stoked to find such a resnoble priced resort! [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

What a great place for a vacation. The bungalow was clean and the A/C worked wonderfully. Home cooking in the restaurant, cold beer at the bar, and al fresco massage right on the beach. I can t imagine a nicer place with a staff to match. Highly recommended!

Perfect. Staff brilliant and so kind. Massage girls out front wonderful. Location not close to Chaweng night life but only 10 minute walk to Fishermans village. If you want to see the island you could hire a motorbike for 200B per day no problem. Room with fan no a/c - small but comfortable, private and situated in beautiful bungalow area only 100m from beach.

A great budget option in Bophut with very friendly and welcoming staff, a good restaurant and plenty of places to lounge on and by the beach. The beachfront bungalow wasn t available for us (there s only one), but we managed to get the second-closest one from the beach (there s a view from the front porch). It was really spacious and just steps away from the sand. In our 4 days at Cactus, we hardly left the property because everything was right there. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

This place is great! The staff is the nicest and sweetest we had in Thailand. The bungalows are clean. The place looks exactly like on the pics! The food is very good, massage in front of the place and you can play pool, whenever you want. The beach is right in front and fisherman s village not far away. On the main road is a supermarket, which is opened 24hrs. I can highly recommend this place!

We stayed at the budget bungalow without an aircondition, only a fan, which was uncomfortable due to the high humidity. The beach is very close, the restaurant has the best chef in the area, the staff are very friendly and welcoming. We recommend Cactus bungalow as a good, reasonably priced accomodation. It s a very nice place. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the food is very good. We wanted to stay longer, but it was fully booked. The bungalows are nice and clean for a very good price. We will come again.

Fantastic and great value for money! My partner and I had the most fun and relaxing holiday at Cactus. The beachfront bungalow was truly deluxe (given the price range) and the staff couldn t have been more friendly and helpful. The massage ladies at Cactus are also lovely and work wonders on tired bodies and minds, and they also do a great manicure and pedicure, all at too cheap prices. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking in this budget range, it s definitely the pick of the cheaper options on the beach, and we re already planning to go back again next year. I thought this accomodation was great! It is right on the beach and the service was very friendly and helpful. It has hot water, A/C, and towels. No tolietries..it is very basic. It is a great spot if you just want to relax and be on the beach to get away. The staff is very helpful if you want to do day excursions, too. The breakfast was decent and had great prices. I would recommend this place if you are on a budget. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Cactus Bungalow ist eine sehr saubere und schoene kleine Anlage. Der Deluxe Bungalow ist zu empfehlen, auch wenn die Dusche (Wasserdruck) etwas zu wuenschen uebrig laesst. Das Essen ist super, hab nirgens anders so gut gegessen wie dort. Die Naehe zum Fishermans Village ist gut zu Fuss zu erreichen. Gesamtes Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Kann die Anlage nur weiter empfehlen.

Wonderful experience with Cactus. Best place for relaxed, easy going vacation. Owner Jeff and enitre team have added on to our experience. Polite, friendly they made us feel like home. We had wonderful sea view bungalow = simple, but with everything that you may need.Massage done directly on the beech, by the bungalow.It is definately good value for money. We had a time of our life with Cactus Bungalow and will definately be back and recommend this little gateway to our family and friends

Very nice Hotel. We planned to stay 2 nights and we stayed 6! : location is perfect (on the beach) - not completely easy to find the first time- the service is great: a lot of attention and nice meals at the restaurant. A great adress to recommand. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

The staff are friendly and made us smile. They didn t mind helping any way they could. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and the food is good. They do the best khao tom moo in the gulf of Siam!
