Nice stay in 1 bedroom pool deluxe villa. Only slight negative for whole stay was the kids club had limited staff and activities but even with these issues our daughter still had a great time there. Club staff are great and we enjoyed our time within the club. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Прекрасный отель. Номера требуют небольшого косметического ремонта, но это незаметно на фоне прекрасного обслуживания и широкого выбора развлечений в отеле. Very nice resort with excellent staff and very good breakfast. Pools are always well maintained and swimming beach just perfect. Location is on Chaweng, close to everything. Location is unbeatable for those who like a combination of tranquil oasis during the day and more crowded evenings in town. Rooms are rather small for three people. Wifi should be complimentary, although a free Internet access through the hotel s computer is always available. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

酒店应该是查纹沙滩上最大的一家，门口沙滩也是最好的一段，房间有殖民地风格，不是很大，不过阳台对海。早餐不错，服务也不错。

Very nice hotel with very good facilities the best for family with children for entertainment. Too bad that TV channels dont propose children children (at least 1) this point should be improved. Very nice staff, not understanding sometimes easily what we ask for but willing to do their best. Deluxe rooms are a little bit old in my opinion but the garden view is really nice. We weren t impressed by the Hotel at first glance....but eventually it didn t really matter! We ended up being only at the hotel for breakfast and bedtime. That is Ko samui for you....rent a car or bike and roam around all day long.... Hotel needs an upgrade badly. Chaweng was ideal for us since we were travellig with a 2 yr old and I could make pitstops to a bar or club or even to a 7/11 for any kind of supplies. Renting transportation is a must! We would have lunch at the western beaches and dinner at the north! Must ve driven 100kms plus per day! Centara gets points for location and a good beach....thats about it! [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Tried Sawadee for the first time and was very impressed by the prompt service! We had booked airport transfers and they were on the mark as well. I am definitely booking my next trips with Sawadee!!

Wonderful hotel, lovely and comfortable decoration and installations, delicious and varied breakfast. However not is better place to lodge in the city. Very nice resort!Rooms?Furnishings a rather dated as are many resorts throughout Asia. Enjoyed Club Facilities! Although I would like to see abit more ambience in this area. I booked this accomodation on line, expecting that all the rooms would be 5 star. The bathroom was very tired, broken toilet cistern, loose drain fitting, shower when turned on made a huge noise, the bedding was musty and smelly. The grounds are spectacular, the pool great and the location very good. We booked very quickly not really knowing what to expect, but figured five star property, that means all the accomodation would be up to par. Not the case.When we complained they wanted us to up grade for another $100 a night. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

The hotel and facilities were perfect, the only thing wrong was the air conditioning did not work in any of the rooms. We were moved to 2 different rooms before given an upgrade to a suite which had a marginally better performance of the AC chiller. Every other guest complained about the AC so it would appear to be throughout the hotel. Obviously the complete AC system needs a major overhaul. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Fantastic resort, lots of atmosphere, perfect location, fabulous for kids. The pool suite was excellent with your own plunge pool to relax in at the end of the day or to cool off in before bed. It was my 4th time to Samui and this resort is better in person than on the photos. Great property! Clean rooms, spacious territory, nice pools, amazing beach. Friendly staff and good location. Will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends. As for minuses: 1). Internet is rather expensive and VERY slow. I guess, such a great property could afford a complimentary Internet for its guests like other hotels do. 2). One day when having a breakfast we found a dead worm in our fried vegetables. Showed it to the staff but no reaction, even just apologies, followed. Just no reaction. After that incident we were very attentive to what we were eating at this hotel.

Hotel was nice big. Beach was amazing the widest beach hotel in samui. The rooms and the whole hotel out look very dull and depressing looking. We chose the club rooms - they were really small and the room decor UGLY black and white tiles are out of fashio in the 60 s. For the club lunch not happy that there was no more solid food than soup and salad. gym really good. kids entertainment not bad went with 6yr child. hotel needs revamp the furniture and colur of the whole hotel, the dark green ugly. Great place to stay at Samui! Friendly staff, convinient location, clean sea and hotel territory. The only minuses I d mention are: - prices which are comparable to average Moscow, so they are pretty high :) - frogs (my own fobia, so may be not applicable to the readers). There are dedicated swamps in the hotel, where those creatures live and prosper coming out in the evenings to sit on the pathes, making their terrible noises :)

Excellent hotel, very luscious garden with great accomodation. Got a privatre suite with a plunge pool, definitely the best way to live at centara. Breakfast was very good and the omelette chef very fast and curtious. A hotel suited for large families or couples that want to have every service provided by the hotel, a good pool for the kids, good fitness room and two excellent tennis courts, table tennis, football, badminton, you name it, they got it. Only thing disappointing and not worth the money was the club service provided. Don t waste money on that. And for a so called 5 star resort they should be able to offer you free wifi since almost every walk in beach resort in thailand offers you that. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

First we intended to stay for 5 night, but with great rooms, sorundings and excelllent service vi extended to 10 and are happy that we did so. The hotel is like an oasis on crowded chaweng, nice and quiet and top service oriented staff. Next time on Samui, we se this hotel as our first choise. Price high but not for what you get. We had a lovely family vacation at the grand centara. They even gave us a complimentary upgrade to a better room with a fabulous view as they had to accomodate a group. The staff was very courteous.A special thank you to the hotel staff for finding my wallet in the room safe and coming to the airport to hand over the same to me. It saved me from ending a happy vacation disastrously.will definitly stay there again if opportunity permits. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

We were guests at the Centara Grand Beach Restort for the 3rd time already. We enjoyed our stay a lot. Rooms were renovated recently and are up to date. The pool area was also refurbished and is nice but it can t compete with newer 5* hotels. What annoid us was the useless pool towel policy, where you have to deposit a towel card to get a towel. The pool towels were quite old and dirty. The beach is fantastic and the location of the hotel is very convenient for shopping+dining. The hotel was fully booked at the time of our visit (80% Germans) but due to the wide garden, we never felt overcrowded. Hotel staff was friendly, fast and helpful. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Family Friendly. Packed Childerens Club but empty Night Club. Not a Bounty Island hotel anymore. Nice restaurants and bars, exellent food, but slow service. We had to call every afternoon to get the room cleaned. Not walue for money. Stay away if you don t bring a bunch of kids. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

It s an hotel 4-5 stars only for the price. It should be a good 2-3 stars, for the price I paid (Euro 126 per night) you could easily found something better. This big hotel was under re-construction for a large part(50% of the total rooms were unavailable) and it caused a lot of pouder that you could see (and breathe) when we were not on the beach. By the way the room was always clean and nice but not so big. The service was not so fair: we had to wait about 2(two)hours before entering into the room and the the working people seemed to be not as polite as Thai are used to be. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

The Hotel has still a large part under reconstruction and in the evening when you go out and in coming back you can see ( and breathe) clouds of powder coming out from the wall. The room was not so big but always clean and in order. When we arrived we had to wait for the room a little bit less then 2(two) hours and the staff was non so usefull and polite as the thai people usually are. The seem to be bored many times This hotel is a 4-5 stars just for the price; for itself it should be good 3 stars.For less (I paid URO 126 per night) you will find better places [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Good points: very helpful, friendly staff, good central location on a slightly quieter stretch of beach, very attractive gardens, lovely large pool, plenty of sun loungers, excellent breakfasts (choose the quieter outdoor area by the Japanese Restaurant because the main area is a bit crouded). Slightly disappointing points: we were allocated rooms on the yet to be refurbished area and found them to be rather tired although I think they will all be renovated soon. I totally agree with the previous reviewer in that the town is a very busy and noisy with the cab drivers hooting their horns and very loud hailers advertising Thai Boxing. At times there was a very bad drain smell and there are some over zealous sales people. If you re looking for an authentic unspoilt Thai experience then Chaweng is not the place for you! I wish we d spent less time here and longer on Ko Tao - more peaceful and beautiful. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

We had 5 beutiful days at Centara Grand Beach Resort. We stayed in a double room The Club and really felt a touch of luxury with access to a special lounge and other benefits. The hotel, the restaurants and the beach left nothing to be desired, with a friendly and service minded hotel staff and a lot of sawadee-krap. We felt less about the town/main street of Chaweng Beach, which we found with too much traffic, too narrow side walks, to many shops seeling junk/fakes, too pushie sales persons and less pleasant smell from the gratings of the drain/sewer running in the middle of the street. We found the hotel resturants to serve excellent food (Spicey Island ended up being the favourite) with indiviual levels of hot to suit european tolerance limits. The hotel beach was quiet with all facilities and rentals. Plus is given for the arrangement with the beach sellers , who were not allowed to approach the guests on their sun beds, but had to try to present their merchandise at a 15 meter distance. Centara is not the cheapest accomodation around, but we found it value for money. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Booking via internet went reasonably well. It took 4-5 e-mails back and forth before the hotel could confirm what was really available and what was not. We got however a small discount for this additional trouble, so we as costumers ended up quite satisfied.

Very difficult time and not enjoyable.I had paid almost usd 500 per night for a Pool room.However they gave me a room which had construction going on in the 2 adjoining room with considerable noise and dirt .On protesting they assigned me a Suite after 2 days which was OK but again in the middle of the construction site.Too expensive for the service,very poor staff.It will struggle to be equal to a 4 Star status.Only positive is the location and a good family oriented atmosphere.but I will not visit the hotel again. My wife and myself were extremly pleased with the hotel in all aspects, checking in, room service, cleanliness, promt maintaince, location, price and most comfortable. I could not think of one bad experience, excellent Spa. I will go and stay there again.
