VERY BEAUTIFUL PLACE; i went there many times and have always been pleased. THE STAFF IS QUITE HELPFUL. UNFORTUNETLY,THE BREAKFAST IS NO LONGER AS PERFECT AS IT WAS. NO MORE MANGOS NO MORE MANGOSTINAS.

The room was a little dated, the price paid was in line with that of a double delux room/bungalow, these room types are different, our friends had the delux room which was larger and more up dated than the bungalow that we were allocated. A good hotel with good location and good service. My son had a good time in the beach pool and the beach. Chaweng beach is full of so many restaurants and bars, and gave us various choices for night time. When we checked out in early morning, the hotel prepared breakfast for us, which is so considerate. However, later we found that the breakfast is unnecessary because both the airport terminal and the aircraft provide the passengers with free breakfast. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

We have stayed at this hotel several times and never have we had the room that we have booked. however we have always been upgraded. It is a great hotel in a fantastic position with lovely staff, However this time we were moved to a completely different hotel a 15 minute drive away because the Chaweng was completely over-booked. It was their sister hotel the Melati which was quite isolated but WOW were we upgraded. The villa we were given was the best I ve ever stayed in it was superb, The hotel was also excellent. We solved the isolation problem by hiring a scooter for £6.00 a day which gave us total freedom.

You seem to be unaware that due to Food Poisoning my husband David Douglass and myself Norma Douglass had to cancel our booking. We did ask if we could postpone rather than cancel, but this was not accepted. We have now paid for a holiday we didn t have and not very happy about this. Surely consideration should be given when illness prevents guests from going on holiday. Your comments on this would be much appreciated. Hotel should offer a cancellation policy for illness. We were upgraded, but didnt see the room we where suposed to have. Our room where close to the street and there was a loot of noise from the street. No place to put the clothes. The safe placed down on the floor. The room was too far from the resturant and sea.The sea was not nice at this aerea of chaveng - almost no water.Will not stay here again. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

After so many years, this hotel still lives up to its reputation. Although its rated 4 stars, everything it provides is a 5 star quality. Service is prompt, accomodating and luxurious. No regrets. Suitable for all tourists. Only setback is the beach, being blocked by the rocks which forms the lagoon, thus causing stagnant seawater lagoon, shallow water and no waves. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Hotel is wonderful, location is wonderful for eating and shopping, all green, personnel is very helpful, pool is wonderful. BUT THE ONLY BAD THING ABOUT THE HOTES IS BEACH. IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO SWIM IN FRONT OF THE HOTEL. THERE IS A WATER-BREAK MADE OF ROCKS, THE SEA IN FRONT OF THE HOTEL IS KNEE HIGH. YOU HAVE TO WALK SOUTH FOR ABOUT 10 MIN TO SWIM.... other than this everything is wonderful...

Chaweng Regent Beach Resort is by far the best resort on Chaweng Beach! Me and my wife stayed there for our honeymoon, and were pleasantly surprised by the staff hospitality and the level of care for its guests. I honestly can t find anything i could pick on the hotel. Roomis excellent, service brilliant, location is perfect, and i would definitely recommend this resort to any type of traveller. They ll find everything in their needs in this resort!

Location was great as we were right in the middle of the night life. We stayed in two of the villas and found them to be quite small. They were efficiently decorated but somewhat comfortable. The grounds/landscaping surrounding the hotel were absolutely beautiful! The biggest drawback to our stay was that there was quite a lot of mold in the bathroom shower and the room had a strong musty odor. When hotel staff were informed of these issues they immediately attempted to clean the shower to remove much of the mold (which was only slightly effective) and sprayed an air freshener to cover the musty odor. Overall our stay was nice other than that and the staff were very helpful & pleasant. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Excellent hotel.Superb gardens,excellent location and very good rooms.We had a premier room which has a large bathroom. Breakfast was a bit ordinary with little variety during our stay of 11 nights. The lounges were in short supply around the pool.Towels should be removed if not used for an hour. Wifi was not provided,which is annoying these days.A resort of this standard should provide internet access free of charge. One final thing is that only 2 small bottles of water are provided each day.This simply is not enough,should be a minimum of 4. Overall a very pleasant hotel,that we would stay at again. In my opinion, the Chaweng Regent Beach Resort is a fantastic resort. This was my 7th stay and I will be back again. The staff are both helpful and friendly and the service is excellent. The resort is great value for money. I generally travel during the low season (May) when prices are cheaper, less people and the weather is still great. The location is excellent, set between the beach and the main road where the shopping is good. Recommend that you head down towards the Ark Bar where there are a number of restaurants on the beach. Great value for money. Entree, Main and a couple of cocktails for around $12 to $15 AUD. The Green Bird is opposite the Hotel, around the corner from the World Tailor. Again, great food and cheap. Also try Poppies or The Cliff. While they are a little more expensive than the restaurants on the beach, they are still great value compared to prices in Australia. If you are after a suit etc, see Tony at the World Tailor. Great prices and great quality. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

We(two adults and one child) spent 3 weeks at this lovely hotel.We stayed in a premier room that was great with a huge bathroom and a jacuzzi. The only downside was the locaton of the room. Too far away from the beach and the pool. If we return i would rather stay in of the bungalows which are closer to the beach.Breakfast was excellent especially the omelettes that were made to order.Staff was efficient and very friendly. The Chaweng Regent is in every way a pleasant and convenient resort with friendly, helpful and efficient staff. It s location would have been perfect (it connects to both the main street and the beach) were it not for the beach vendors that really are a nuisance. The superior bungalows are somewhat dark and need renovating, but are still comfortable and kept very clean. One of the better choices in Chaweng.

I have no other description than the perfect vacation! Felt like a five-star hotel without the annoying up-nose element. I have spent 14 days with my wife of 5 years and it truly felt like our honeymoon. Although it seemed at the time of booking as a bit too pricey and potentially not the greatest value for money, I am pleased to conclude that the hotel was worth every penny. We stayed at a deluxe room on the first floor, overseeing the big pool. I have written to the hotel requesting a room above the ground floor and they fully adhered to my request. The room was spacey, with so many fine touches, away from the main street, lulled in the hotel’s tropical lush garden. The pool bar was closing at 6pm and the pool at 8pm, so we could really enjoy the peace and quiet sitting on our lovely balcony. Two years ago we stayed at Lamai beach, afraid of the noisy Chaweng streets and this was naturally one of our biggest concerns when we chose the Regent. Luckily, by some miracle once you get onto the hotel’s estate, the noise of the street completely disappears. The staff was extraordinarily friendly and attentive. They have dealt with every single of our special requests (and there were quite a few) in the best manner possible. I warmly recommend the Chomatay restaurant on the beach for dinner (there are many lovely restaurants in the vicinity, most of them cheaper than C, but frankly in this case the price came with the quality) or for cooking classes. The breakfast was one of the best ever! Although the hotel spa is marvelous, we found it to be too expensive. It is much better to go to one of many massage salons nearby on the beach. People who like to swim in the see can find the beach to be disappointing, as the water is quite shallow (I believe maximum dept at this side of the coral reef was about 1.5m). We enjoyed chilling in the calm shallow water safely watching the waves crush against the reef in front of us and used the pool for serious swimming. We definitely plan to come back to this hotel. I went to Koh Samui with my wife and two children to celebrate my 40th birthday. We were most impressed with the resort and the staff. The pools were great, the brakfast was amazing and the gym had all the best equipment. We would definately go again as our experience was fantastic.

My wife and I have stayed here on three occasions now. Very beautiful place to relax. Great pools and friendly staff who are very welcoming. We have stayed at the Chaweng Regent Beach Resort once before and liked it so much, we booked it again. We were not disappointed! The room was everything we expected and the food was up to its usual standard of excellence. They not only arranged for our hotel reservations, but they booked us transportation from the airports to each of our hotels. The taxis were prompt and the drivers were very polite. 4years ago was my 1st stay at the Chaweng Regent Beach Resort. Back to KohSamui and to the Chaweng Regent Beach Resort with 2 other girlfriends-all very satisfied with this resort. Always a very friendly staff, clean comfi rooms, clean swimmingpool,clean beach. Great breakfast buffet, we only missed dark (7grains) bread and also the coffee could be better (coffee machine with espresso/cappuccino etc., even if you have to pay for it, but you have a choice). Great food & wine at the RED SNAPPER Restaurant, great staff. The band/singers were good but much too loud, a coversation at the table inside the restaurant was not possible. We spent six nights at the Chaweng Regent. My wife and I had a Premier Room which was a very nice beach resort room with a huge bathroom. The boys had a Deluxe Room which was very 3 star. I had stayed there in 97 in what is now the Regency Wing and this still looks the better part of the resort especially with the two pools located here. the location is great on the beach and the street. The better restaurants are on the beach v s the street and definitely try Dr Frog s on the Cliff. The service was good most of the time not that it was a great worry when it wasn t. More inexperienced than problematic. The food at the Resort was excellent except for breakfast which lacked quality and selection, plus they would run out. Very nice pool, grounds at the Resort, and the place is kept very clean ( including rooms ), even though the Resort is looking a little tired. We had a very enjoyable stay and would recommend to stay there for a family holiday, and I suspect that the Regency Wing has nicer rooms. Definitely go scootering around the Island on a dry day, go and see the Tiger Show, Venture out to the nicer restaurants which are still cheap but excellent food...Red Snapper, Dr Frog s, lay out by the beach and pool, eat dinner on the beach, light a wish hot air balloon and set it adrift. Second time back. Traditional thai feel, beautiful gardens/walkways, comfortable and adequate rooms facilities 4*. Great location, plenty going on along beach/main street or hideaway within resort. We ll be back! [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Really nice and helpful staff. Expensive restaurant compared to others, but also special and with nice live music and large buffet. The best location right on the beach and nice view from the restaurant in the morning and at night. We had a quite room, but the balcony was no use, no sun or view. But still really nice hotel, but we expected a more luxourius room, considering the price and expected upgrade for honeymooners, but I am not sure we got it! But anyway it is a very romantic place to stay. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

A fantastic holiday resort with staff who could not do enough for you, no overcrowding at the pools, fantistic food and excellent spa resort. Although we intially booked a superior bungalow, we changed rooms during our stay and would highly recommend the deluxe villas. An excellent holiday all round and would not hesitate in staying again.

I would strongly recommend this hotel/resort to any of my friends or fellow travellers. The hotel was immaculately clean and the staff were some of the friendliest that I have ever encountered in Thailand. The food in the restaurants was excellent and the buffet breakfast served every morning was delicious and the various choices ensured that any appetite would be satisfied. The beach in front of the hotel was wonderful and the two swimming pools ensured sufficient space for everyone to enjoy a relaxing spot to sun tan or simply relax. I can t say enough about this hotel and I would recommend it to anyone, whether travelling as a couple or as a family. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Although, we had a problem with our first hotel on Koh Samui (Samui Orchid Resort), your staff responded immediately to my request for an alternate booking and within a couple of hours, all of the arrangements were made...including transport between the two hotels. I want to thank you very much for your help, fast response and professionalism. I will certainly be using your website when I return to Thailand with my family next year.

Hotel is sited on the beach with good amenities. However, cottage rooms remind you of Japanese hotels with hardly room to swing a cat. We put our luggage into our room and went out to process film. On our return 20 minutes later, the cottage was reeking of sewage smell. On our complaint, cleaning staff came to survey the situation who then called the reception to confirm the incident. We were then offered another cottage which was not as well placed. This took nearly 11/2 hours to resolve. We requested an upgrade or some compensation, i.e.Dinner for 2. Eventually the Duty Manageress came in to resolve the matter. Unfortunately, She was very cold and unhelpful and suggested the smell had gone,(the cleaning staff sprayed the cottage with strong perfume which masked the smell momentarily),the best she could do was to cancel the booking and let us look for another hotel. As we were staying for 1 night only due to non availability, we had no option but to stay at the hotel. Incidentily, when later in the evening we passed by the original cottage, the whole area smelled horribly. Drainage system in the 2nd cottage was also very poor. My view is that perhaps the hotels needs to overhaul its Drainage system. Hotel has an excellent swiming pool and jacuzzi. Apart from the Manageress, staff were very kind and helpful. Although the (bath)rooms are a bit outdated the Chaweng Regent Hotel is a perfect location for a relaxed vacation with very good service and very friendly personnel. It s location, right in the middle of Chaweng, gives easy access to all the shops, restaurants, bars, etc. but without the disturbance of the noise going along with that. I would certainly return to this hotel on my next trip to Samui

A lovely hotel right on the beach,service was very good and nothing was too much trouble for the attentitive staff. The hotel has beautiful gardens and pools and the walk throughthe garens up to the main road was always a pleasure. We stayed in a deluxe room which was very comfortable and clean with a lovely housemaid who came in every day. We would recommend this hotel without hesitation.
