The resort is beautiful and peaceful. It is in a great location. I have stayed here a number of times now. I do however have a few constructive comments. Some staff are less than attentive and not so friendly. Some staff should be reminded to smile more and seem like they are happy to be there - but perhaps they are not. I think this is something management should pay attention to. I have stayed at other small resorts in Thailand and despite them also not being 5 star they manage to get this right. Crystal Bay Yacht Club has work to do with either getting their staff happy or getting them to show it - not all of them, but definitely some of them. Good luck. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Schöne Bucht, viele Tagesgäste, die Strandbungalows sind der Hammer, Viele Steine im Wasser (Verletzungsgefahr). Der Strand wurde täglich gereinigt. Das Frühstück ist gut. Es gibt Thai, Ei frisch in allen Vatiationen zubereitet, Obst und einen hervorragenden selbstgemachten Jogurt), hatten eine tolle Zeit [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

I stayed here for 6 nights and found the location to be outstanding. I had the beachfront villa which was a great choice. So relaxing to sit and do nothing in that spot and know the water was only metres away. The resort is very close to Lamai and offers easy access in to Chaweng should you wish to go there. Great restaurants in wonderful locations very nearby all along the coastline. The service from reception staff was fine and efficient and I had no concerns at all. Housekeeping were also very good. I found the service from some of the food & beverage staff to be less than great. I think they pick & choose when they are friendly and who they are friendly to. Breakfast is basic but sufficient. The food at the restaurant Rock Salt is outstanding. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Schöne Bungalows, tolle Lage an einem romantischen Strand abseits vom Trubel. Mit dem Moped ist man in 5 min in Lamai, einem netten Dorf mit guten Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und vielen Restaurants und Garküchen. Wer es lebhafter, aber auch viel lauter mag ist in 15 min per Moped in Chaweng. Wir haben die Insel selbst per Moped erkundet und eine Fahrt zum Wasserfall 2 lohnt auf jeden Fall.

We were staying in Samui Yacht Club the second time (first was in September 2011). And it happened that we had the same bungalow. The hotel is very nice. Room is very big and comfortable. The location of the hotel is just perfect and quiet! It looks like the most beautiful bay on Koh Samui. I think we will back to Samui Yacht Club again. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

VERY beautiful garden and fish in little canals, spacious territory, great swimming pool, shower to wash off the sand from the feet near every bungalow. Bungalows are very spacious, there is even a bath tub (not a usual hole in the floor). However, considering the price, I was surprised to see holes in the sheets. The water was either hot or cold (though it is never really cold in Thailand and I had no problem taking shower). But you could never make it warm - only hot or cold :) Internet broke down a couple of times, but came back in a few hours. If I were staying with a kid, would definitely choose this place: spacious rooms with an extra bed for a kid (even 1 adult can sleep comfortable), great beach, playground for kids. The Yacht club is ideally situated away from the main road half way between Lamai and Chaweng, with a beautiful beach. However the rooms are old and in need of some maintenance, hot water was unreliable, and the general feel of the place was tired and unloved. if you like a great place to stay with a rustic feel - then the Yacht club is fine.

If you are looking for a quiet resort that is away from Chaweng and Lamai Town, this one is quite a good one to go for. Very nice beach. Can have a really peaceful and relaxing stay. Will be back to the same hotel if have another chance to Koh Samui again!

Hotel is super. Better that we have seen on pictures, full of trees –so green, like a real jangle! But jangle very comfortable) Cozy territory and the picturesque beach-we like it. The vacation is good. The hotel met our expectations. We will came back in Thailand yet again !

Good location near a very Lamai Beach. The general maintenance in the hotel is quite poor. From time to time there is no water at all and hot water for short time. The aircondition was very noisy. The swiming pool is in bad condition - parts are broken or disapeared. If you are looking for a camp and not for a hotel it is ok. We will not come back to this hotel.

Perfekt sted. Men hotelstandarden var elendig, sengetøj og dyner lugtede surt,ikke meget service fra personalet, virkede meget sure. morgenmad ikke klar kl 07.00 men først ½ time senere, stort problem hvis du har en tidlig aftale. Stedet kan anbefales, der er 2 andre hoteller på samme strand. Vi forlod stedet en 6 dage før tid.

it was the worst welcome we ever had. We arrived happy, said hello in thai and in front of us on the counter had a very antipatic guy, which had an icy robot look. If I haven t paid in advance, I would in the same moment get out of there. After 10mn the guy finally found our reservation and we could proceed to the room. The personel at the bar were either not friendly and efficient. The only kind person there, allways having a smile was the room made. In general this is a good value for the money, but I was disapointed. We paid for the seaview villa, our friends paid for the simplest (cheapest) villa and not only they got a nicer room, but with a seaview, just one house away from the beach. What we got was a worn down room with limited seaview from the corner of the terrace! Upon our request the staff moved us to the different room, much nicer, but without any seaview. Our friends were disapointed with the bathroom, so they were also moved to a nicer villa, without seaview. It seems that the guests are being put in available rooms regardless of what kind they paid for. Hope you get lucky. This little resort is quiet and kept clean, the staff is very friendly and melow, but there is only one person who could communicate in English, so it is very difficult to arrange anything when he is not on duty, unless you speak Thai, of course. We heve seen the family villa , it is definetly the nicest they have to offer with the gorgous bathroom made into the garden, has no seview, but I recomend it 100%. The beach is nice and clean, not crowded, the water very warm but there are rocks on the bottom so take your water shoes. It is rather easy to get a chair/bed for sunbathing, they also have 6 gazebos, great for escaping the sun. Breakfast, which is included, comes as a tasty buffet, with variety of food, different each day. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Beautiful location. Our room was right on the water, exactly as I had hoped and entirely adequate without being too clinically modern. The computer in the room with internet access was a bonus. I read a disappointing review about the food in the restaurant before I got there, but it was a complaint about pizza. In Thailand I prefer to eat Thai food...so this is what we did and it was fine. Samui Yacht Club was in a nice quiet location away from the busier beaches. Although it is much prettier at this beach, it wasn t great to swim in as there were many rocks on the ground. The room was quite nice, and food good. I wouldn t recommend staying here if you want to be close to the shops/nightlife as it ends up getting expensive travelling to Chaweng & back each day. Super hotel,very special bathrooms,good resturant and breakfast. Hotel staff was wery helpfull and nice and the cleaning of rooms were well done. The beach was with some big stones,as on the fotoes,but partly with nice white sand. If you need a quiete place it is here, far away from all shops and bars. One night there was a beach party with a big bufet with many kind of seafood and meat and a great salat bar for only 600 Baht inclusive music. A wery nice place to spend some days. The hotel is awesome. The whole time there was wonderful. The staff left a large, fragrent bouquet of flowers in the room, a large rose petal heart on the bed and rose petals in the bathtub of water, at the request of my boyfriend for my birthday.
