Great location. Within walking distance to the beach, bars, night market and restaurants but far away not to be disturbed by the music from the bars. Big rooms and great pool. Nice small hotel.

Good location, about 5 minutes to the beach, but the beach is not very good. Friendly staff, room service every day. But really overpriced for high season, guess it s real price not more then 25-30$ per night.

A returning guest who still finds this little budget hotel a gem in Lamai. A convenient location of the main Lamai stretch but has easy access to the beach (5-7 mins), shops (3-5 mins), food (a short walk), etc. Owner Jimmy and family genuinely care for their guests. Suggested improvements - perhaps a little more detail to maintenance of facilities such as the pool, broken curtain railings, and newer bathroom towels. Overall, I enjoyed the stay. great little hotel in lamai centre. rooms are pretty big with a huge decent bed. jimmy the owner is a great host. just five mins walk to the beach around the corner from the night life. recommended great hotel for the price.

There are three must haves for me in booking Thai accommodation; pool, air con and room safe. Hathai House ticks all these boxes plus much more. Well located for shops and night life, excellent free wifi, great breakfast and friendly help and service from Noo and her staff. We had a poolside room so cooling off was real easy without the hassle of locking up your room and carting around gear which you need to do in the larger resorts. The only shortcoming (and a minor one) is the absence of tea/coffee making facilities in- room, so just got used to living with my one cuppa in the morning at breakfast! [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Back for a third time and as before - Jimmy and his entire team made my stay enjoyable. Small boutique basic hotel that offers clean and cosy comfort. Not too far away from the beach - about a 5 minutes walk. Not far from food and entertainment.

Hathai house is a very nice little hotel close to everything but you are not disturbed by the noises in the street. the owners and the staff are very helpfull and friendly. the room has been nicely cleaned every day. We love our hathai house!

Really nice place ,staff were fantastic really friendly made me feel like part of the family. Rooms were immaculate and totally worth paying a bit more for A/C - The pool was smaller than it appeared on website pictures but very clean and lovely and refreshing! Lammi was a perfect choice for location at this time of season as it was away from drunk parties but still close to everything you needed. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

A really nice little hotel, fair price nad wonderfull management. Servicemind is the middlename. A little noice around the bars on the way from the beachroad but using the backway made it more comfortable. I would absolutely recomend Hathai house.

Owner is polite, friendly and helpful. There is a safety deposit box in the room which is very convenient. We were given complimentary bottled water every day. Location is quite central. It s about a five min walk to the beach and about three minutes to the centre of town. Still, it s quiet enough at night. We would stay there again.

We stayed for 3 weeks over Christmas at this lovely little family run hotel in Lamai Beach. It was in a really great location, just a short walk from the beach and restaurants and bars. I’m the second time stayed in this hotel. First time was in 2008. I have only good feelings again. This is a quiet family hotel with nice owners. Rooms are clean and convenient. Big thanks to “mama”, who is cooking the great food. Especially want to recommend Prawn sesame toasts. Location is wonderful. Hotel situated in a center of night life, but in quiet lane. Good value for money smallish hotel that s in a quiet location of Lamai town. Has a small pool that s adequate for casual swimming. About a 4 minute walk from the beach and very central to food and bars. Host Jimmy and family are quite helpful and friendly. Will return again.

Good hotel, excellent staff! Отличный отель! Джимми очень доброжелательный и отзывчивый хозяин. Все просьбы выполняются сразу, ждать не приходится. Жить лучше на втором или третьем этаже, т.к. на первом много различной живности, и она может заползти к вам в комнату. Кроме того, на превом этаже окна выходят прямо на бассейн, так что либо придется все время ходить одетым и вести себя прилично, либо задергивать шторы =))

Very nice place,3mins to beach,2 mins to bars,nice and quiet, the family who run it are very nice people the food is good ,so is the swimming pool,i would recommend this hotel to all my friends and family,good price too

I realy love this hotel! Nice and clean rooms, great staff, great food. The hotel is located in the upper parts of Lamai, but it s quite good. Just a 5 minute walk down to the beach. I really recommend this hotel. I will stay here many more times when I visit Lamai!

Hathai House, Lamai Patrick & Nicole Norman – New Zealand 11th April 2008 – 18th April 2008 The hotel and family hosts were excellent. The place was clean food was great and it was close walk to everything e.g. Beach, shops and night life. Any noise from the surrounding area was basically nil. Pool not the biggest but does the job after a few drinks. Usual practice if sun lounge seats not being used and have towels on them, get the fairy’s to remove the towels then act like a deaf beached whale. All in all the missus and I had a great time there. Excellent little hotel, set just up from the boxing stadium. It s right beside all the nightlife but there is no problems with noisy music etc from the bars. The rooms are basic but spotlessly clean, with a big comfortable bed. Nice little pool, but the four sunloungers are usually Gerried out, so get your towel out early. Seriously a little consideration from other guest would allow everyone to use the pool area at sometime during the day. We had a wonderful 3 weeks here and really enjoyed it .Room was great and cleaned every day . Food was excellent and the swimming pool was ALWAYS kept well cleaned .The position behind the boxing stadium is NO problem at all as we were never disturbed by it .We would definitely recommend this guesthouse and would be quite happy to go there again . This was our 2nd stay at here. It is still a great place to stay. Our only 2 negative comments would be that the staff did not appear to be as friendly as they were on our previous stay. Also our room was cleaned pretty late in the afternoon, around 3 pm. But we would still recommend this hotel.

I stayed there for 4 nights. To make it short: Just five minutes walking distance from centre and beach. Next beer bar approx. 100 metres distance – a bit noisy although already away from the main action. Hotel is more or less new, everything is nice, clean and the owner familiy very friendly, very good service and all in all really good value for money. Good aircon and fridge, cleaning every day. I arrived with the latest plain. Jimmy, the manager, picked me up and brought me in his new Ford Focus to the hotel. He is young, educated, and speaks perfect English. He organizes everything for you (snorkelling, motorbike, full moon party, etc.) at reasonable prices. The hotel is located within walking distance from amusement and beach - big plus, especially at night-time. The building is brand-new, the rooms are nice and clean. Impeccable daily room service (fresh towels). They cook good and charge fair prices. I especially enjoyed the sandwich (ham, cheese, and salad) together with a well temperated Singha Beer at the pool side. I had reserved for four nights. Having checked other places I stood eventually for 10 days. In summary, for me it was just right, and I would come back immediately. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Very friendly owners and staff at Hathai House. I stayed at the hotel with my 2 children for 10 nights. The children were welcome and they loved the beautiful swimming pool. We had a great time at Hathai House. To get there, we took a minibus from the airport. The driver had no problems finding it. Just say, near thai boxing stadium, Lamai. It s great that the rooms are fully equipped with aircon, fridge, tv, dvd and wireless internet access ( prepaid wifi cards available at the reception). The hotel is very clean, fresh towels every day. I can highly recommend this hotel to everyone who likes to stay in Lamai.

I spent 8 nights in this recently built hotel. The location is ideal, very close to restaurants and bars, but at the same time not at all noisy during the night. The rooms are extremely clean, with satellite TV channels and even a DVD player. The swimming pool, although a bit tiny, is marvellous and also very clean. It is a Thai family-run hotel, the owners are lovely people and all speak excellent English (mother tongue level). Perfectly located 5 minutes away from the central Lamai beach (the best part of the beach, clean and non rocky), in a quiet and green environment (though it s also 5 minutes to the bar scene. Great swimming pool (clean and long and deep enough to really swim). Warm welcome from the familly owning it. The room is large well furnished and serviced (Tv, dvd player, safe, a table and 2 armchairs). Bathroom small with shower only, but fairly enough for our needs. Housekeeping perfectly done everyday (ground washed and not only swept). The hotel is really cute and and you feel really good there. I definitely recommend it, if you re looking for a cheaper alternative (2 to 4 times cheaper) than the resorts lining the beachfront of Lamai. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Very clean with a nice small pool. We can walk from our room to the G/F without wearing shoes. The owner are very friendly, family business and located at the end of the beach. 5 mins walk to lamai beach. If you ride motor cycle, it s convenient. 4. mins to Nathon Beach and 20 mins to Chewage Beach. Add 100 bhats to have basic breakfast, i.e. toast, jam, tea/coffee. I would prefer to have the breakfast at local market within 5 mins for riding. The big problem was many ants if you dropped some food or sweet drinks on the floor. That s why the hotel is very clean, the guest also have to keep the same thing. If you are first visit to Samui, it is better to have the pick up services at 200 Bhats/person as the hotel is very new, just operated for 7 months. No body know that. They can arrange everything for you, i.e. local tour, bus ticket, etc. It s better to ask their opinium for planning the trip. If you choose to swim before evening time, it s like to stay in a villa with your own pool. If I will come again, I surely stay in Hathai house again and again.We stayed at room 202 on the 2/F at only 900 Bhats at high season, it s really worth to stay. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Jimmy, the hotel owner, came to pick us up from the airport and from that moment on we knew we were going to have a wonderful time on Koh Samui. And things only got better from that moment on. Spotless rooms, wonderful pool, good advice about what to see and how to reach, and the earlier mentioned extensive collection of complimentary DVDs, but possibly the best asset of Hathai House is what maybe not all the guests don t experience: Their kitchen. Jimmy s cousin, Noo, is a cook with a capital c . Whether you want authentic Thai, Chinese (the ribs Jimmy-style) or even if you miss something from home , she just manages to make it better than you ve ever eaten it before. Excellent place to stay at Lamai beach. Although is not located right in front of the beach, it makes up for the great hospitality. My taxi driver had some problems locating the place though since it s brand new (just opened for 6 months). I mistakenly made a reservation for September instead of July, but the staffs are kind enough to see that I get a room within 5 minutes. The food is a bit pricey, as to be expected of hotel food, but is DELICIOUS (I highly recommend the chicken wings in Chef s sauce and the BBQ spare ribs - YUM!) There are a couple of other hotels in the area in the same price range, but Hathai House has them all beat because it has a POOL! I would definitely stay there again. DVD collection at the front desk for free viewing in your room is a plus too. Highly recommended! [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

no problems. They also let me pay the balance of my room by credit card (because Hathai House only accepts cash). Very convenient.

We had a really great stay at Hathai House... Everybody at the hotel are really sweet and very service minded! We loved our stay! We stayed at the family room for a week and it was great! We loved the inhouse movies (many to chose from and if you don t like the movies it is possible to buy the newest movies just around the corner for 100 bath) The room was clean and the staff ecxellent. I have nothing but praise for this family run hotel. The staff are very very friendly and speak very good English. The rooms are spacious and clean. The beds are comfortable and have duvets. It is ideally located. the beach is 7 minutes walk away and the nightlife is 2 minutes away. Though the nighlife is close by, you do not get disturbed by it. I would recommend this hotel and will definately be staying again. It is true value for money. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

I found Hathai House was in a very good location, the room was very clean and the staff very friendly. Would go back again. The dvd player in the room was a good touch aswell.

First I must thank the owners of Hathai House Hotel, it was just lovely to be there! Noo, Jimmy, Eidy,and the other personal there! So very nice and beautiful they were. We, Bo and I, like the other guests must be surprised such a hotel we lived in.Always smiled and kindly... (You must excuse me for the bad english...) Well we can recommed Hathai to every one! Good food, and clean rooms, a fine swimmingpool which also was clean and fine. My love from Gothenbur, and see You next year!!!

The hotel is in the center of Lamai as the web said.But the driver didn t know this new hotel.Anyway,the hotel is new and good,only 5 minutes to the beach,and clean pool,kindly boss.I like it.
