Great and quite view and very nice rooms if you look at lodge or deluxe lodge and friendly staff. But far away from anything else (restaurants, bars, shopping) so you almost have the only option to use the resort facilities that is expensive for food, beer. Breakfast is not included - very unusual and not a surprise: very expensive...

We booked a deluxe lodge for 5 nights that was confirmed. Then issues started: we got downgraded to lodge, then to bungalow 2 nights and lodge 3 nights. Very messy and of course we have been very disappointed ....

If you want to relax in paradise then this is the place for you. This was our second time staying at Jungle and it still didn t disappoint. Amazing views, great food and relaxed, helpful staff. Nothing was too hard or complicated. We decided to stay here as the lead up to our wedding in Koh Samui and it was the best decision ever. We booked Jungle Club as our first stop in Thailand. Having been before and staying in Chaweng we wanted somewhere a little further away. We were very pleasantly surprised with Jungle Club. The view of the island is amazing the staff were brilliant and friendly. The food is great to. Although a little basic the rooms are pleasant and clean. The showers are hot and we had a view of Chaweng. One word of warning is the drive up there is a rather steep road. It was great fun in the 4x4 we had hired but taxis generally won t attempt it. Luckily the hotel will pick you up. People happily seem to make it up there on a moped. All in all I would totally recommend Jungle Club to anyone. You might also get a parrot sat on your shoulder at breakfast too! [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Fantastic stay at a magical place, only inconvenience the magic lasts only until 21:30 or 22H if the staff is not too tired, after that, all the common areas all the lights go out and time to go to sleep-for all!

To sum it up... WOW! we stayed in a small hut, cheapest available and while small and simple it was cute and comfortable. The staff are absolutely lovely and the restaurant, bar, pool etc amazing. We book the hut so the basic option. The hut was ok but it is a lot like being camping. You will have company of geckos, spiders and other animals. So if you re not familiar with it better select an higher option. The toilet (external) was not very clean and presented bird excrement around. The location is on the top of the hill and the place can not be reached by a normal taxi but only from 4wd cars. The shuttle will cost you 50bath to the main road and 100bath to the main area. Not very cheap if you go up and down. They offer free rides twice per day not really enough to be used. If you rent a scooter you need to be experienced to go up there, the road it s extremely steep. Overall I was very happy to move from there to a more comfortable and cheaper place.(the restaurant/bar it s fairly expensive) [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

After reading the great reviews for the Jungle Club in the Lonely Planet I could not pass up the opportunity to stay a few nights here. It certainly did not disappoint. The views are spectacular and well worth the short drive up the steep winding road. The staff were lovely and welcoming and very attentive. I had some delicious meals in the restaurant, namely the Tom Yum soup and Phad Thai and the fruit shakes are unbelievable! (And they play great music there!) I stayed in one of the Jungle Bungalows which had a gorgeous view of the coconut palms and the bay. For those not wanting to stay in the busy township of Chaweng, this is the perfect location to chill out, relax and immerse yourself in the ideal surroundings. 5/5 coconuts! The place is good to relax outside the crowds of Chaweng and you can enjoy a fantastic view over Chaweng Beach from the reception/restaurant area. The rooms are large although a bit basic with no comfortable chair or even a cable TV in the room...(there are DVD copies though). The unique restaurant food is not much exciting, you should stick to Thai food, and a bit expensive but the main drawback is the service. A few pretty rough guys do the service and you have to endure some loud music all the day... The main guy in charge is however very efficient and does his best to help the guests but the rates are fixed for everything, without any competition... However, the main point is that, due to the very remote location, the transport is limited to the 4 wheel drive pick-up from the resort with only 2 free rides per day, at 10.30 and 6pm. The rest of the time, they charge to go down the hill or up, provided you call them before, not very convenient if you have an overseas SIM card... In addition, they charge 400B just to go to the northern part of the beach but this is probably part of the fixed priced taxi ride policy in Samui... Overall, it can be a very nice stay for 2-3 nights, just to relax near the small pool or read on your terrace... V. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

No problem, the pick up van at the airport was there but the driver should say before that a transfer has to be done with the resort pick-up truck before arrival. I had to wait for 5-10 minutes at the bottom of the hill before reaching the resort...

The jungle is situated in a previligous location with a great view...on a hill with all the view on chaweng bay. nice swimming poll and very relaxing.Good food Great rooms. Very nice and kind staff. best deal on samui island, if not all of thailand! went from staying at a 5-star hotel in bangkok to the 800 baht single jungle hut - slept much better and felt at one with nature. great location, amazing views, very friendly staff and pets (hi lilly!), and the service was beyond any 5-star hotel i ve stayed at. one of a kind! i m recommending this place to all of my friends and family! Endroit idyllique... Cet hôtel offre une vue surprenante sur l île, les bungalows sont bien équipés et très spacieux, le personnel est très amical, et sympathique, seul bémol: on est tenté de rester au sein de l hôtel plutôt que de se balader dans l île . This is one of the most beautiful places I ve stayed in Thailand. Jungle Club is not on the beach but on a hillside overlooking the Gulf of Thailand - nothing better than to be in the infinity pool looking out at the sweeping view. The Jungle Club is a special place, situated atop a hill surrounded by coconut palms and overlooking the Chaweng Beach environs. It is off the beaten track, but easy to get transport down to Chaweng via 4WD vehicles run by the Jungle Club. Its isolation is its primary virtue - cool breezes, a beautiful view, relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. The open restaurant takes advantage of the view, and the food there is fine. It has a rustic charm, so if you are looking for 5* all-mod-cons accommodation, forget it, but if you are looking for peace & quiet away from the hustle & bustle of noisy Chaweng, it s perfect.

What was suppose to be only a 2 night stay at Jungle club turned out to be a 7 night stay. This place is great, and has been the reason for such a great time on Koh Samui. it was the best place we have ever been, it is very close to paradise!!! we started with a very warm wellcome, Thar explained everything to us in a perfect way, we felt more than confident from the first minute we arrived. we enjoed our stay at the jungle club very much, my wife my two sons and I had a great time over there. we were treated excellent, we enjoed the food your people working over there were excellent friendly warm hearted and we felt like at home. thje place is superb,quiet relaxing excellent service and and and... only very positive connections to your resort!! We stayed in a hut for 800 BT. For the price and location, it was very good. The view from the pool or the restaurant was spectacular . Evrn though the hut was not the best thing, for the price and the view, it was by far the best place we stayed. The food was very good too. I would go back there in a heart beat.

The jungle club is a fantastic little retreat on the hillside with the most awesome views of Chaweng Beach. The staff are fantastic and friendly, the food is great, and the facilities were everything you needed. Definitely a place to visit for any occasion (backpackers, couples, honeymoon, family) and we will most definitely be back one day.

I would not hesitate in recommending the Jungle Club to anyone. The location is fantastic - away from the hussle and bustle of Chaweng, with magnificent views, but close enough and easy enough to get amongst it if you want. Fantastic place, great staff, view unreal. A bit out of the way which we thought was nice as it got you away from the madness of down below. Jack and Ta very helpful along with everyone else, food very good. A nice place to go and chill. Had a basic hut and that was clean and everything we needed. Incredible views, quiet, infinity pool, great staff with excellent sense of humour and English (Gd English rare in Thailand). Food also superb and far mire reasonable than some of the other fancy spots on the island. This is my 2nd stay. First was for a month during which time had meals in many resorts around Samui - few equal the Jungle Club. Run by a Thai-French coue that really know what you and I like.

No dvd player even though dvd s in cabinet. No room safe. Room needs renovating-lights missing, doors & windowns need screens. Doors partly broken. Views excellent. Bed good. Pool 5 star. Food 5 star. Service five star so helpful & no problem to change room when arrived. No bad sewerage smells in the bathroom like experienced in other accomodation in Thailand.

My partner and I ended up staying at Jungle Club for the whole of our time in Koh Samui after falling in love with its laidback attitude and beautiful surroundings. Despite being a 15 minute ride from the main shops and clubs in Chaweng, we loved having our own little getaway up in the Jungle overlooking the whole of the Chaweng beach. The staff were extremely friendly, the food was delicious, the rooms were very basic but clean and comfortable (we stayed in the Jungle Hut) and the infinity pool was absolutely amazing. It was perfect for my wife and I. It s at the very South end of things up on a hill overlooking all of Chaweng. The view from everywhere on the premises is spectacular. The food is very good and service is casual but sharp. Getting there and back does require a 4wd, but this service is available 24h for a nominal fee. This place was the highlight of our three weeks. Booked for a simple bungalow with van & cold shower. Room ok but cold shower in december it s not a good idea because too much cold. Situated on the Hill, far away from the center but the view worth it ! Good for resting and meditation. This resort is well maintained, decorated and very nice but very secluded. Had an amazing time at the jungle club, and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting samui. The facilities and food are first class and have far exceeded anything we have had so far on our budget backpacking trip. The pool is simply gorgeous and the staff are all great friendly people. This is one of the most amazing places to stay so near to Chaweng. The staff are so welcoming, the location is outstanding. The staff were all so helpful, great with all our kids, always available to collect you from the bottom of the track. This is a place I would recommend to anyone, with a range of accomodation to suit all prices. A real oasis.It was our final place of stay before we left to come back to England. We spend our last couple days of a longer backpacking trip there. It s been the best idea. Stunning views, nice stuff. Good food, a little expensive though. Everything was just great and we can really recommend going there. The only little disappinting thing was the seafood bbq. It s been all fried and not grilled at all unfortunately. We loved it here! It was booked at the last minute as we decided to arrive in Koh Samui earlier than expected due to the potential problems in Bankok. The staff were great - very friendly and helpful and our room, The Jungle Lodge, was very spacious, bright and airy. There are great views over Chaweng which are particulary stunning at night. The food was very good, and the bar area a good place to relax and chill out. The ride to and from town on the back of the pick up truck was great fun as well! Would definately recommend if you want something a bit different and out of town.

The view is good. the staff is kind and helpful. Price resonable and clean.One thing I unexpected is taxi cannot go to jungle club directly(i have not notice before), however, Jungle club staff is really helpful, if you want to down the hill, they arrange the car as quickly as the can.

Brilliant place to stay if you don t mind being out of the way from Chaweng centre and not having the beach at your doorstep. Beautiful views across the coast, lovely pool, friendly staff, good food, a lovely bar yo relax in and take in the views and great value accomodation (We stayed in the deluxe bungalow) The climb up the hill in the back of the 4x4 is great fun and the staff will pick you up for a fee from Chaweng at any time (with a free service at 10.30am to the beach and 6pm back) Would definately go back there! This was an amzing place to stay and I would reccommend it 100 times over! We stayed here for 5 nights and didn t want to leave! We stayed in the Jungle House, which was okay but would reccommend if your budget allows you to to stay in the Jungle Lodge - it s fab! Negative: Accommodation has no air conditioning. Fans only. Positive: I don t know where to start with this place. It s situated high up in the Jungle and the views of Koh Samui are out of this world - they literally took our breath away! The food is fantastic, the decor amazing and the complete ambience blows you away. The staff are fantastic and we had a great time with them. It s a family run business, hence the the laid back welcome you receive as soon as you arrive. It s very much a chilled out atmosphere and somewhere worth visiting. Even if you don t fancy staying here for the night it s definitly worth taking a trip up there for lunch or dinner...it s guarunteed to impress! An absolute gem and must see! This was our 2nd time at Jungle Club and it was even more magical this time. Sure it is a bit out of the way but not that hard to get to. The view is to die for. Scared when we saw all the packages being caterd for (especially first day, please leave this pavillion, we have booked it!!! mad pool overload with Aussie Kids but skillfully done and not that intrusive to guests. The vibe is laid back. Some might say the service is not that snappy but we were very happy. There was a terrible review just before we arrived, something about a rude staff member to a guest because they brought up beer (I think) to have with their BBQ meal and were told they were insulting the hosts.We thought what a terrible place, why did we rearrange our holiday plans just to stay here? Well I think this must have been a troll Nothing could be further than the truth. We never felt uncomfortable, the staff were LOVELY!!!! Our two kids (who happen to be Thai) felt this was their favourite holiday destination on earth. Josh got to experience Song Kran with great staff at JC, Maggie had fun with her friend Chilly who she has not stopped talking about since 06 when they first met. My experience was the Jungle Club was one of my best ever. Not only the view is amazing but the staff are so friendly and happy. They really make you feel welcome and treat you brilliantly. The only downside is the tricky location up in the mountain which means you gotta to call the 24hr driver to pick you up because taxis won t go up there. Otherwise, a great holiday. I will be back and I recommend it like I was recommended it.

The place is absolutly great on the top of the hill, with best views, nice pool and garden. We stayed for a week in the Jungle Villa and had a good time. We had a little trouble with animals (moskitos, geckos) coming in the house, because between the wall and the roof is an open space. This was also used by the tokays which did very loud vocalizations during the night. There is no A/C.

If you want peace and quite this is the place to go, not the easist of places to get too, but well worth it when you get there.Only four wheel drive vehicles can get you up there. The views were fanstic the pool was small but ok, the evening meals were the best that we had in Thialand, and we spent three weeks traveling around Thialand. We were in the cheap huts, we only stayed there for three nights that was enough, if you were going to stay longer then pay a bit more for a better room. The staff were all great and there was always some one there to help if needed, and they were great with my partners neice they spent hours playing and talking to her. We would not go back because its to far out of the town for us, but other members of our party would stay there all year if they had the choice, i m glad we stayed there it was a great start to our three weeks in Thialand. And when we left they even drove the seven of us to the next hotel which was about seven miles down the road for no charge. (wish we were back in Thialand now wet and cold back in the UK)

This has the perfect scenic location that one would imagine in their dream. Hotel facilities and rooms may be average (and so is the price) but the location compensates for everything. Amazing place...!!

Lived in Thailand for 18 months and have been back there for 3 holidays and i can honestly say this is the best resort i have ever stayed in. The view was outstanding, food and cocktails were great and the staff were so friendly that it made the holiday! [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

a beautiful jungle nature up on the hill just 5 mins away from chaweng....away from the crowd and yet easy accessibility if one wants to go to the beach. breathtaking view of the island, a total peace away from the noise....

Paradise! Views are amazing, the peace and quiet was bliss and the staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. Little pricey on food and drinks(Hotel prices) but worth every penny. The grounds/hotel rooms cleaned every day. The Jungle Club made my holiday one to remember,I wish I was there now!

I would highly recommend the Jungle Club. The hotel has character and the staff are very helpful and a lot of fun. I will be heading back to Thailand next year and will have no hesitation in booking another stay here. An exotic getaway that we loved! The view is unparalled and the grounds and pool and immaculate. With only a small amount of bungalows, The Jungle Club is quiet and private. If you are looking for action, perhaps consider staying closer to the beach as a 4WD is the only way up to the Jungle Club. In turn, the cheap accommodation can turn out to be not so cheap as the 4WD is charged to your account, food is not as cheap as down in Chaweng (although is delicious!) and after a few cocktails the bill can increase...but isnt that what a holiday is all about?!? Staff were fun and enjoyable to be around for a chat.

We stayed five nights in Jungle Club and it was the best part of our trip in Samui.The view is amazing to the beach and town.The garden was so beautiful.Everywhere was quiet,only birds were singing.Great value for money to spend a different holiday.It´s worth of visiting!

Hotel is a little gem tucked away almost effortlessly very quiet and peaceful perfect for unwinding,also for me the early morning jog in the surrounding scenery was heavenly,if you can leave behind the sea for a few days then this resort is fantastic,al the staff so special 10 out of ten well done !!!

This place is really different than others since it s up the hill and by itself. The view from there is really excellent. The staff is friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. However, going up/down is somewhat an annoyance since you have to use their pickup service unless you have your own scooter. We booked the Jungle Lodge and I feel it s a bit pricey, especially if you don t spend most of the day there. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

If you don t necessarily need the beach 100 meters aways from you then you shoudl definitely have the Jungle Club on your list in Koh Samui. The view up there is amazing. The staff made everything possible to help us. The huts are pretty simple, but we had everythign we needed... not to forget the cheap proces they charge. They are clean and also get cleaned every day. The jungle Club crew always gives you a lift down to the city 24/7 whenever you want to be in the middle of all the tourist life. The best place we have stayed in Thailand. Spectacular view and nice people - we can only recommend this place if you want to relax og enjoy the nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The standard is ok, but no air-con. The food is exellent. Our children loved the pool, though is was very small. We will definately come back.

We booked the Jungle Villa, which was beautiful and perfect for the occasion. The staff were friendly throughout our stay and the pool area was lovely. However, when it came to paying we were charged and extra 900 baht for an extra bed, even though the invoice we had previously received had included this. The staff had also taken the only copy of the invoice we had on us at the time for the deposit amount and total fee for our stay. We had to get to the airport and so could not query this at the time and as we know longer had a copy of the invoice with us, did not have the best platform for an argument, This put a downer on the end of a lovely stay. We found the location of the Jungle Club to be amazing.. We were so pleased with the actual rooms and the view out over Chaweng to the ocean is stunning.. The horizon pool was so nice and cool which was a welcome change to the steaming hot summer weather and we were in love with the little patios that had cushions and jutted out over the hill. The only unfortunate experience we had here was with the staff. It was our last 2 days of holidays after being away for 3 weeks, so money was a little low for us. We bought some beers from the 7-11 as the prices at the resort were 4 times the price, which we thought was a little steep. I asked the bar staff for a bucket of ice and we drank our beers in our room, then came out to the restaurant and purchased food (which was both average and overpriced) and sat out on 1 of the patios over looking Chaweng for the evening. The next evening we had organised to have one of the BBQ packages from the resort, which was 550THB. Again, we bought some beers from the 7-11, with the intent of drinking them in our room, then having the BBQ down at the restaurant area. When my boyfriend went to ask for a bucket of ice again, he was promptly told by one of the bar staff to f@#$ off , to which my partner didn t know what to say. At first he thought they were joking, but the guy behind the bar told him to have some f@#$ing respect . We were very disappointed with the way they treated us and promptly cancelled our BBQ. I don t believe they have the right to tell us what we can & can t do in the privacy of our room & I especially don t think they should have treated the situation like that. There would have been a hundred other ways to ask us not to bring drinks into the complex. As a result of their rudeness, they ended up losing our business for the BBQ anyway. We decided to go and eat at one of the markets in Chaweng which was less than a quarter of the price and to be honest, much better quality. I would definately recommend staying at Jungle Club and I would still go back myself, but I would not recommend eating or drinking there as it is far too overpriced and the food is very average. I wouldn t mind paying the higher prices if the food was good, but it just isn t. Other than the staff, I loved our experience there. Such a shame that 1 bar guy had to put a damper on our experience. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

See comment above.. Bar staff very rude and if we had been treated like that in a Western Hotel, he probably would ve been fired. Food and beverage is very overpriced and quite average in quality.

Absolutely loved the Jungle Club. The place is beautiful, peaceful and spotless. Swimming pool is lovely and the staff incredibly helpful and kind and the food delicious. Do go if you like the idea of a peaceful paradise but if you are a 24 hour party animal then you may be better staying closer to the town.

For a person like me (single, older, somewhat anti-social, slightly stressed-out due to unrelated previous situations, etc.), the Jungle Club was the right place at the right time! A comfortable, unpretentious mountainside oasis with a superbly laid-back atmosphere! Great staff (you know who you are!), great food (everything I ate there agreed with me!) and a great place to escape to and forget the rest of the world! I got what I wanted, and that s rare. So that s GOOD! My only complaint? I could not stay there longer. Thanks muchly!!
