Perfect location, rooms are ok and clean. Nothing super luxurious but more than basic. It’s annoying that the guests make sunbed reservation early in the morning. Not enough umbrellas. Breakfast was not very good. Coffee very bad, also the Asian food not very delicious. Only the eggs (omelette , fried etc) were good. But ok, just cross the street and go to Starbucks. People very friendly and the rooms were cleaned very good. Everyday new towels if you want. Would definately return. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Outstanding service was delivered to us by the Malibu staff. The breakfast team and the reception team especially. Everyone helped us at every step. The rooms are clean and tidy and all services worked. We will be back A++++

I loved our stay at Malibu Koh Samui Resort and Beach Club with direct beach access and close to the shops. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and in a lovely garden setting. The restaurant offered by Thai and Western foods which was pleasing. This was a awsome resort! Perfect! New and cosy. The staff was great. We were flying very early in the morning so they made us a breakfastbox! We loved this place. It has a perfect place on the beach and for shopping as well. We couldnt ask for more! [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

I went to Malibu hotel at least 6 times. The new renovation is excellent BUT the AC in the room is too strong. You should maybe put a curtain along the bed to block the wind. I also find this time the breakfast was too simple, and not enough umbrella on the beach

Super hôtel, j y vais depuis des années. Les chambres ont été rénovées et c est top. L allée qui mène à la plage est superbe. Le personnel très sympa. Problème avec la pression de l eau dans le salle de bain, elle est insuffisante. Le restaurant a été refait et le bâtiment est franchement horrible. De plus, c est un restaurant Italien qui est très cher. Si on veut manger Thai, obligé d aller à l étage. Pas assez de chaises longues ni de parasols sur la plage. En résumé, l Hôtel est parfait, par contre coté plage, avec le resto et les chaises longues, c est devenu pas top, même franchement nul. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

We stayed in a Deluxe Room. The Room was located directly across the Reception. The View of our Terrace was mostly on a pile of Garbagebags. The Room (groundfloor Bungalow) was teh farest from the beach - i would recommend to get a Room nearer to the beach. Otherwise the Room was very Big - we stayed in the room with our children (2 years and 10 Months). The Babycot is good for Babys wich are smaller and cant stand up alone - otherwise i would not recommend to let the children sleep in the Babycot because the fence is not very high. If the Baby leans over it could fall out. We let our 2 Year old sleep in the Baby cot, and the Baby slept on the Matrasse on the floor next to the Double Bed. The Bathroom was Huge, the most of the Time it did not smell to good. At this time of year there were a lot of mosquitos. My Parenst in law had the Room above us (1st Floor) wich was much better. Bathroom did not stink, no Moquitos - or not so many..... [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Fantastic hotel and wonderful staff. Clean and tidy, good breakfast and plenty to choose from. Friendly staff that helps one with everything. Beach chairs on the beach and access to towels and a nice pool is right on the dinning. Close to shopping and nightlife that is not bothering you. Amazing and here we come back to next time.

I don t like to write bad reviews. Malibu needs urgent update, the location is very good, just in front of the newly opened Festival Mall, but the hotel has a tiny beach front, a very little pool with almost no sun beds, 3 to be exact, breakfast buffet is decent but a bit boring not much to choose from. the rooms aren t really nice, we had a log Thai Style villa (the best they had) it was nice but full of mosquitos because they had many holes to get in. we booked 4 nights but only stayed 2. the staff is nice but I think they weren t happy to find out our cancellation. It is more like a budget hotel. with the kind of guests that budget hotels usually have. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

The bungalow was ok, satisfied my need, close to the beach, restaurant. The resort is in the centre of the village, right on the beach, close to everything. There was no safety deposit box in the room, air conditioner was very noisy, had to turn it off every night. I advised staff, but nothing was done.

这家旅馆挺好的，挨着海边，是一间间独立的小木屋，我们住的房间虽然没有海景，但是出门走一分钟就是海滩。房间设施简单却功能齐全。出门一小截就是街道，有许多商店餐馆按摩店酒吧，临近闹市却很安静。所有的工作人员都很友好，让我们初到泰国就感受到了泰国人民的热情。我们入住的价格很便宜，两百多还含早餐，性价比超高。两点小缺点，一是空调机声音略大。（但晚上不热可以不开空调睡的）。二是沙滩上不是特别干净，有海浪冲来的树叶。但这一带的沙滩都是这个样子的。如果你要在这个地区住，这家旅馆真的很不错！！！ [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Room was great & friendly assistants from all of the resort staffs. Very nearby to the city centre (walking distance). Minor glinch on the initial encounter with the dvd & tv as it wasn t working but had it fixed/changed. Overall it was great! Awesome!

性价比很高的酒店，位置绝对一流，门前是查文最热闹的地方，进去是很漂亮的园林，感觉很多年历史的树，再往另一边便是查文沙滩。要说不足的话，就是有点点旧了，但不影响，住得很舒服。

We re never staying here again. The Deluxe Jacuzzi room we had booked was beyond dirty. It was full of old hair, bugs and dust on the floor, blood on the sheets, brown stains/mud in the jacuzzi, no hot water, dried up dead cockroaches on the floor, filthy curtains with mildew and a rotten smell to the whole room. When we complained we got the Delux A room which is much cheaper, yet we got no refund/compensation. The sheets in this room was dirty too, several mascara marks by the looks of the lashes ! The walls were leak and the windowframe was broken so the rain came in from several places. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Service was poor. The rooms smelled musty and bathrooms were not clean. The AC didn t work in one room and gave out a really loud noise. They switched rooms for us after we insisted they should change it. The pictures on the hotel page show new buildings but these are not necessarily the ones you get. location is not bad since the chaweng beach is known for being noisy and loud. Overall i was not impressed for the price we paid.

I am very unsatisfied with this hotel. Very early booked around March. Money Paid double times than coconut a day. First day it was not clean tand asked mosquito medicine and enterance was very dirty. so very angry and electricity was something wrong but later they repaired. For the 8600 BT for 2 days facilities are not good for me.

Hotel was so so. The best thing of it is the location, nice beach and near the shopping area. Perfect. But the hotel itself is not on great condition. We had several times problems with the power, so the airconditioning did not work. The water in the bathtub was very yellow some days. Not clean. The staff was nice, but cant speak english. This made it hard just to explain that my airconditioning was broken. The worst thing was the musquitos in the hotel. That was drama. Breakfast was also not the best. I booked a Superior A room. The bathroom needs seriouse renovations as it is really run down. The room itself is good. The location of the holtel is really good with all the room in a park like setting which allow privacy. Bra läge, tyst och stilla. Men rummen är inte rena. Smutsiga fönster, gråa och smutsiga handdukar och sängkuddar som luktar illa. Frukosten är väl ok men man får be om ost. Kaffekannan inte diskad de senaste säsongerna. Kan inte tänka mig att bo här igen. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Nice room (C w/ jacuzzi), spacious enough for 4 (2 ad + 2 ch, 5 and 7). Daily cleaning was not good, but towels were changed every day. Very nice situated with greenery all around. Restaurant and pool area worn and needs a face lift. Our friends who has stayed here several times says that nothing has been done... Friendly and helpful staff! [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

A small resort directly on Chaweng beach and which COULD have been perfect but unfortunately there is a housekeeping problem. Some rooms are quite old, but nice, and therefore not easy to clean but it was really bad. In my room the bathtub was not at all cleaned before the 5th da!! And the terrace is really dirty. It looks as if it has never been cleaned. Around the swimmingpool you find the same thing. Really a pity because when I was there they bought new matresses for the sun chairs around the swimmingpool, very nice ones in fact but the area was not at all clean. People in the resort are very nice and you have the feeling they are aware of those problems but can t do anything about it. I told the management and was invited to dinner on the beach, very nice, but nothing changed when it came to cleaning. Beside that the location is fantastic but the beach of course somewhat neglected as other parts of the resort. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

The location and the service are quite good, but the facilities in the room must be improved. I booked the most expensive room in the restroe, however it is not as good as I expected. The Thai villa is close to the entrance of the restore, as a result a little bit noisy. And the air conditioning is not work well, sounded like a motorbike. All in all, Malibu is the place worthy your money.

It was the first time in my life when at check out the receptionist took the key and went to check the room . I have a big experience and visited a lot of hotels all over the world, but NEVER NEVER NEVER someone checked the room either I drunk something from minibar, broke something in the room or any other case to charge me. It s humiliating!!! It s niggling!!! the relationship between the hotel and the guest must be based on mutual trust. For any cases of dishonest guest s behavior the hotel have copy of the passport.

Отдыхали семьей,отель понравился,но с некоторыми оговорками.Из плюсов-однозначно лучший участок пляжа на чавенге,особенно для отдыхающих с маленькими детьми.Небольшая но очень зеленая и ухоженная территория,не очень разнообразные,но вкусно приготовленные завтраки.Недалеко от отеля есть супермаркет tops,где можно недорого купить фрукты,молоко,йогурты,мороженое,алкоголь на любой вкус+готовая еда,это важно если ограничен бюджет или если вы не любите питаться в кафе.Очень доброжелательный персонал.В бунгало есть большой телевизор+двд,возьмите с собой диски с мультами и фильмами и ваши дети будут вечером заняты,а вы сможете спокойно попить пивка на берегу.Небольшой но хороший бассейн,ребенок,устав от моря с удовольствием в нем купался.Из минусов-жили в бунгало b1 и b2,когда-то очень хорошие и удобные,однозначно требуют косметического ремонта и замены кондиционеров.Очень громкая и не очень вменяемая музыка в баре,заводят часов с 5 вечера и до 12,это всетаки отель,а не дискотека и современная клубная музыка реально напрягала,хорошая,подходящая по времени и месту музыка-одна из составляющих успешной работы ресторана,собственно из-за музыки его посещать и не очень хотелось.Уборка номера проводилась очень поверхностно. Great location for a combination beach and shopping ... I stopped only 5 days, the first day witnessed the presence of a child of only 8 months I asked for the change of the room, the presence of too many steps in it, promptly answered. I must say that the kindness of all staff has been wonderful. The only little flaw breakfast in the morning with little choice.

The resort is all right by Thailand standards,staff is friendly and helpful but if you whish to stay at a quiet place avoid Chaweng beach in general. The fireworks on the beach keep on exploding all night till 3-4 am. like heavy gunshots shaking the walls and the landing planes make much noise too. Up side - Nice place in good location, the bungapows are far, far better than the rooms in the main building. Good pool. Down side - On arrival reception tried to put us in one od the rooms in main building despite us booking and paying for the bungalow..., they quickly agreed and relocated us - bloody cheek! A nice , pleasant resort to spend your vacation in Chaweng. It combines in an ideal way quiet- even for day sleeping after the parties - and a very convenient position to the night bar and club scene.The beach is fine, without the overcrowded rows of sun umbrellas met some hundret meters norther on Chaweng Beach. Superior B Bungalows are roomy, convenient, pleasant and in a generally OK condition. Apart from that the air-conditioner was not effective enough,everything worked. The resort personnel are really helpful and kind and do their best in service,although English language is not the strong point of communication with Thais! The menu has a good variety at reasonable prices and food - aspecially Thai dishes - is fine.So the only criticism is, that -despite former request and confirmation- the room safe box was out of order, due to a renovation, and this caused the inconvenience to use the reception safe box.I would definitely stay again in Malibu Beach Resort next time on Koh Samui. Such a nice place to stay if you are in Samui ...located right on the centre of Chaweng beach ...a private hut in nice location...swimming pool and then the most imp thing - Sea....i would say best beach area is along Malibu beach resort....massage parlour right next to beach...good breakfast..everything available and right in place...we had a memorable experience...will live there again . The hotel was great and right in the middle of all the action on chewang. The breakfast was good and all that would be expected of a thai hotel trying to cook an american breakfast but the eggs were individually cooked for you and there was juice, good coffee and cereal (what more do you need). We stayed in a standard A room 9 (room A1 to be precise) and it was fantastic very clean and linen and towls changed everday as well as towels provided for the beach. The bathroom is well used and could do with re grouting here and there but you only spend 10 minutes in the bathroom so who cares. Massage on the beach great and there are a number of massures who are very friendly and just at the bootom of the steps to Malibu. Deck chairs around the pool and on the beach easily enough for everyone. Overall very good especially for the price the location [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Location in relation to chewang beach is excellent with everything within easy reach by a short walk. Room was fine with only slight issue with below par/standard of air con in room and wethered look/feel of some of the windows in bathroom. They are being damaged by the water in shower and need to be replaced or bathroom slightly redesigned. Staff were very friendly, especially the cleaning and service personnel. Pool large enough for gentle swimming and option of the sea there as well. No problem catering for us as family and other guests in hotel seemed as happy with service as well. The Malibu is definitively an amazing place to stay in Samui. Me and my husband had the greatest relaxing 1 week time ever in our life there. Location cannot be better on the Chawen beach, very close with 1 minute walk to the main street with shopping and night entertainment, without expected noise! on the beach front, with transats, nice swiming pool, confortable, nicely decorated and clean room (even standard) with our intimity, and most of all the nicest staff for servicing, especially at the hotel s beach restaurant and bar, what else: delicious food Thai and European and also fresh sea food all day at reasonable price (not cheap and not expensive, like everywhere basically) plus a breakfast buffet until 11am. Everything you need it there. I will be back there for sure and warmly recommend it to families, both young and old couples, friend teams, but not to high-society people as it may look too simple and not that luxurious. stayed in malibu for 12 nights and enjoyed it. Breakfast not great but the location, staff and accommodation was generally good. Would go back there again.

Fantastic room very spacious and centrally located to the main hot spots around chaweng. I would without hesitation recommend this place and would love to return back again sometime in the future. We got a Jacuzzi bungalow very nice but if I would probably get a shower bungalow. Over all persons working there were more than helpful plenty of beach loungers and the pool was kept very clean. As usual I enjoyed my stay at the Malibu very much , it must be six times now . The staff were as friendly as ever and made my stay enjoyable and wanting for nothing . The pool was clean as was my room and the drinks were cold . A steady flow of hot coffee with breakfast overlooking the ocean and a few cold drinks at happy hour after a massage. Can not beat it . Wonderful location, with easy access immediate access to the beach, helpful staff. Rooms were rustic and pretty, well cleaned and looked after daily. The pool was slightly small, but was well kept. Breakfast was a small menu, catering more to the westerners, with insufficient local flavours. On the whole satisfactory. The restaurant does make good thai dishes. The hotel is located directly on Chaweng Main Beach and town, walking out for nightlife, and food was easy too. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Second year in a row staying at Malibu.Once again everything was perfect, the staff really do go the extra mile to make you feel welcome. Will definitely be booking the Malibu again next year .. What a fantastic place to stay [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

It s a very nice place. Not so big and on the best part of the beach. All the staff are very friendly and hepful and speak some english. The only problem is that they don t have non-smoking rooms.

Had a wonderful stay. The staff were very friendly. The bungalow was very clean and tidy. The location right on the beach was just great. Would definately stay there again.

Best location on the best part of the beach. Moderat rates, great service if you ask for it in a proper manner. Nice pool but why worry using it when the ocean is 15 meters in front of the hotel. Aeroplanes overhead you have at any hotel along Chaweng. Breakfast was great.. be sure to order the omletts from the kitchen, try with ham and tomatos and also the different various Thai dishes. Try out the massages above the resturant. Can defently recommend the hotel and staff [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Thai people don t seem to know the word maintenance. But if you understand and love the Thai way of life then this hotel is great. The location is premium, far from the best accomodation but certainly not the worst. I would stay there again. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

moderate resort central in Chaweng. Rooms are good and nice decorated. Complimentary water and coffee every day. Cleaning of the room was most of the time very late (after 15.00hr). Breakfast was rather poor: every day the same, eggs could be better, bad toaster and very thick toast, we always had the last dishes, restaurant rather small for the number of rooms. Pool OK but not very charming, chairs are almost in the pool, so no splashing please (with small kids...) Resort is fine for a few days but not longer. Very expensive for what you get.

Room is ok. We discovered a big rat in the room. It’s important to now that from 7 am. To 11 pm there is pretty much noise, the hotel is near the airport and the airplane went just over the roof.. The breakfast could be better, but the people is nice as always. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]
