Super agréable hôtel avec petite piscine bord de plage familiale à côté de tout commerce et animation on a passé vraiment une agréable séjour on s est pas ennuyé pendant 3 semaines avec un service irréprochable nous avions un bébé de un an les chambres sont spacieuses et très bien entretenu le personnel est très sympa et très accueillant [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Have stayed at Montien 3 times as excellent value for money and great location near to all the action. Pool is good and restaurant food is top quality. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. Would not hesitate to book here again.

Hotel quite old and hadn t got a escalator. We stayed in 3 floor it s not problem for walk up and down with out luggages. But when check in and out had to carry all luggages it quite hard but they has got a good restaurant and small bar in front of beach. And Staff name Chao very helpful and friendly. We will come back to the restaurant again.

Calme, même si situé très proche du ArcBar, les avions qui passent par dessus sont parfois bruyants mais à force on ne les entend que 3 ou 4 secondes. Le personnel est serviable, service en ordre, pas de complication admininistrative. Les chambres sont bien entretenues, propres, sans grand luxe. Le jardin est superbe, piscine accueillante. Le point négatif c est la stabilité et la disponibilité du Wifi, existe mais on s énerve quand même un peu...

Premium deluxe is no deluxe at all! Don t choose this type of room! You will have better value with cheaper bungalows or suit building! Our premium deluxe was a small room on the 3rd floor without elevator. We asked for a bungalow instead, a small room to, noisy. You can hear your neighbors and all the aircraft s landing on Samui. Restaurant is great, best green chicken curry and panang we tasted so far. We checked out after 1 night. We wouldn t stay here again, BoPhut or Koh Phangan is so much better. For this money per night you can have a big suite at Koh Phangan or in the other smaller parts of Samui. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Great place to stay. Great part of the beautiful beach & right in the middle of the shopping street ( if you want to go out there). The location is somewhat perfect, and somehow the worst. Its close to the main area, where you can shop and eat. The hotel is on the beach with sun beds, a pool and a restaurant. The food on the restaurant is as expected a bit more pricey than in the main area, but the quality of the food is unfortunately not as good as a lot of other restaurants. The most important thing to look out for on this hotel is the noice! It s located next to a couple of night and beach clubs and you can feel the subwoofer in your chest from 2 pm to 2 am. I ve travelled a lot and this is the first time noice really bugged me. I read the other reviews and tought the noice shouldn t be a problem for me/us . Be aware! We didn t have the villa/bungalow but stayed at the 3rd floor in the main building. I booked into a single room for a few nights which was awesome, clean, friendly staff, I then stayed in one of the one bedroom villas with pool now that was awesome, I will stay here again. The restaurant was very bad I sat down it took a while before someone brought me a menu, and then to come back and take the order, there was only myself plus about 4 people here at the time, not good that was the only thing that let them down. The hotel was awesome in a very good location close to everything, I had a one bedroom villa with my own swimming pool, and I highly recommend it. The only problem I had was at the resturant I went there for lunch around 1pm there was about 5 people already eating I sat down at a table after 10minutes I had to call one of the staff over for a menu, I got the menu and again another 10 minutes before I had to call someone over so I could order. This was my second stay at montien house. staff are always friendly and happy. Rooms are clean and spacious with A/C Wet rooms are well maintained and cleaning staff do a great job every day tidying up. Nice pool on the ocean with good food and great massages overlooking the bay of chaweng beach. Close proximity to green mango and ark bar but also quite enough to remove yourself from all the surrounding activities of chaweng. will definitely stay again on my next trip,

房间很大很漂亮，还有贴心的蜜月房摆设。早餐很丰盛，最喜欢里面的草莓酸奶，是真的有草莓在里面。整个查汶海滩人较多，我们没有花太多时间在海滩上。Montien在海滩上开有马杀鸡店，挺方便的。 有一点不太好，就是蚊子太多，不过还好我们有小蜜蜂的紫苏草药膏。 [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

the hotel is very good the service was great they clean the room everyday and the breakfast was great we stayed at the deluxe building i think the usual supirior rooms are also ok the rooms are not on the beach but the supirior rooms are in the ground if you have money they have rooms with private pool which is great. the beach is shalow and i enjoyed more at kp tao from the beach. the hotel is near the chaweng road by walking which is great. they have a nice pool near the beach we liked the hotel very much

Vi bodde i bungalow, de billigaste. Inte supermodernt men helt ok. Vacker lummig trädgård men tyvärr mkt mygg. Frukosten var inte stor men tillräcklig, fanns äggstation . Nära till centrum, men det gick inte att bada utanför hoteller då botten var dyig och det var lågvatten. Poolen ok och på kvällen dukade man upp restaurangen på stranden-jättemysigt! Hotellet får helt klart godkänt, men du får gå några hundra meter om du vill bada i kristallklart underbart vatten. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Was looking for a centrally located 3 star beach front hotel with pool for 9 nights and found Montien House and what a great choice. Booked a superior room at 3 for 2 offer - would definetely stay here again next time I am in Koh Samui. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the restaurant had very good food at very reasonable prices, the pool was a little small although didnt get too conjested even when the hotel was full. The superior rooms were very nice and comfortable and all bedding was clean and serviced daily. Overall highly recommended for those looking for a location close to the street action but quiet enough to get some sleep. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Nice place, quiet but central in Chaweng. Expect the beach not suitable for swimming, but you can reach a nice beach 5 minutes walking. The hotel has a swimming pool sea front. The restourant have tables on the beach, beautiful for dinner.The bar is quiet in the night, nobody there. Minus points: too many mosquitos in the bar with nothing to pervent No wifi in the room. We stay in pool villa for 3 nights , the room itself was big, the mattress were comfortable, disadvantage was no phone on the room so any single requirment you need to go to reciption to ask The air condetion was not working well and noisy, the pool water was clear on first day but the rest seems not clear enough And not change on water, during check out from pool room to delux room the recipinist told us to take b Bags by ourself

Great stay once again - second time at Montien House this time with a 22 month old in Suite Building; perfect with a 1 year old! Housekeepers bought us two airbeds to use in the pool and were wonderful with our little girl. We relaxed and shopped as much as possible. Only complaint would be works in behind suite building from workmen during baby girl sleep but once mentioned to staff they moved the workmen on - they did say on arrival that workman would be finishing that day but they continued on throughout our stay. Will be back again perfect location and great rooms generally very quiet for central Chaweng location. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

酒店位置很好，在海滩的中心区。但很郁闷的是，在美丽的查文海滩的近海处莫名其妙筑起一道人工的堤岸，破坏了海滩整理的风景。这点让人很失望。酒店房间很温馨很舒服，阳台的设计很贴心，庭院很幽静，植被很好，夜晚还有巨大的蜗牛在散步。酒店的FREE WIFI很好用，但是只能在院子里使用，进房间就没有啦。泳池很迷你，但是设施很好。住在这里吃饭逛街租车上网一日游预定都超级方便。早餐一般！ [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Stayed here 7 years ago and now again. The location is great since it s in central Chewang but at the same time you don t hear the noise from the beach parties a few hotels away. The room was clean and service was overall good, but it can do with a bit of updating for the asking price.

I would like to say that my stay at the Montein was excellant. They were a few mosquitoes the first night but didn t see an after that and did not get ite. The location is excellant and staff helpful. It is not a five star hotel but defintly worth the price you pay. Breakfast was good with fruits and vegtable available everyday as well as different Thai foods, eggs meats ad ceral. Beach is OK but you need to walk to the right to swimm

Very happy with the staff at Montien House in Koh Samui and location is very central.Breakfast was good, the room was spacious and surrounding gardens were pleasant. Enjoyed sitting out in the balcony area. Only downside, is that the in-road leading into the resort does flood when it rains heavily but you are able to wade through the water quite easily.

My second stay at Montien House. This place is great value for money. The property is a little run down, could do with a coat of paint. They are renovating the resturant reception area at the moment. I was in a deluxe room, very clean and very quiet at night. The staff and management were great, very friendly and very accomodating. My TV broke half way throufgh my stay. Within a half hour they replaced the TV,no problem. For the single travelor, its comfortable, safe and very relaxing. I will be back again. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

This is the second time i stay at Montien House, typical Thai location for those who want a real Thai experience. Nice location but avoid spending money on the Suite Building, it is just a waste. The one we got was on the main path, ground floor, so we never ever had the possibility to keep the windows open for sun light(it seemed to be like a prison.... not good). No door to close the bathroom, quite embarassing sometimes... Not to recommend. Just choose one of the villas (they are beautiful) or a normal bedroom, cheaper but anyway ok. In general, hotel ok (suggested) but room definitely not good.

We came to Montien for the 2nd time and felt like at home. We stayed at the same room ( 213) and it seemed that it was renovated a little bit. The breakfast was as good as two years ago, maybe it only lacked yogurt this time. We really like the territory of the hotel - a lot of trees, very green. Unfortunately, we stayed when the flooding occurred but it did not prevent us from spending nice time at Montien. at its restaurants in the evenings with the live music. I saw some tourist who were here two years ago and it means that they come back to Montien again and again. The location is perfect. See you in a couple of years! [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

I stayed at Montien House between March 1-13, 2011. The whole family (10 persons ages 12-65) where extremely happy with our choice of hotel. Everything was great, the location, the services and the staff. I will definitely come back!

Bungalows are okay. You don t get much other than a good location for the price. Breakfast buffet was limited. Not enough beach chairs available, however the staff was great, always and freindly. One of the staff even lent us a hot water maker for our stay from her own home. Thank you... This is our favourite hotel on Chaweng Beach. Perfect location, great rooms & top value for money. Family owned & run, staff are friendly & helpfull.This is our 6th visit to Koh Samui & we have stayed at Montien House the last 5 times. Absolutely perfect location in central Chaweng. Direct beach access, great staff, shopping, restaurants etc. Food was good and very reasonably priced. B100 cocktails during happy hour. Be aware that there is no phone in the bedroom (deluxe category). Would definitely stay here again.

It was my first time in Koh Samui. Enjoyed my stay in Montien House. Situated right in the heart of Chaweng Beach. Great location. I almost never left the hotel as it had everything I needed, good food, a relaxing swimming pool and of course a great white sand beach. Love the island and will definitely be coming back. Pasamos 4 noches en montien. Lo recomendamos. La situación es genial, a pie de playa y junto a la calle principal de restaurantes, bares, tiendas de chaweng. No se oyen los ruidos. Los bungalows están muy bien: tv, nevera, caja fuerte, baño amplio y muy limpio. Desayuno buffet muy bien. Personal muy atento. Traslado al aeropuerto mas barato que taxis. La única pega que la zona de playa tiene alguna piedrecilla pero está muy bien. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

This is a nice resort in a great location. We stayed in the Pool Villa, which was lovely. We had our own private pool so we didn t use the communal pool but it looked very nice and not overcrowded (it was low season). The staff were very friendly and the restaurant was one of the nicest we went to.

My partner and I stayed at Montien for our last 2 nights in Samui and these were the best 2 nights as we absolutely loved our room. We stayed in the Pool Villa which was very relaxing and the room smelt amazing, was very clean and the shower was the best out of our whole trip! Our pool was clean and cool we loved just being able to wake up and go in our pool and go out at night and then back into our pool...JUST AMAZING!! [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Montien House has a perfect beach situation, with direct access to the beach/sea. The Bungalows are simple but clean and in a good price, achievement relation. The Service is correct. Unfortunately we were only there for two days (should have been three) but lost a day owing to a cancelled flight from London! We found the staff at the hotel to be friendly and courteous. We had a deluxe room which was very nice and clean with a big comfortable bed and with a good balcony. The breakfast was reasonable. The only slight complaint I would make is to put more sunbeds on the beach as the pool area is quite shaded, other than that would definitely recommend the Montien House Hotel! My family and I spent Christmas at Montien House. The location is great, the staff is fabulous, the food is tasty not to mentiont the daily breakfast that comes with your reservatons. My only complaint was trying to get a beach chair during the day. This is no fault of the hotel but selfish people who leave thier towels there early in the morning, so they can have a place to sunbathe. However the beach is just as beautiful, so we made the best of it. I highly recommend this hotel [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Fabulous place to stay. The most relaxed atmosphere we have ever experienced and the staff are all friendly and attentive. We stayed in 308 (a pool villa) is was fantastic. White, fine sand beach a few steps away. Supposed to be the rainy season but we had only a couple of overcast days and still got a good tan. Hugely recommend this place and we will visit again. Three nights is more than enough to figureout that this hotel is PERFECT, V good for value, V close to the beach (less than 10 meters) in the heart of chaweng beach. I stayed in Pool Villa, it is extremely fantastic, large with very nice decoration, the villa s pool is small but good for relaxation. They gave v good attention for our HOONEYMOON. This is a great little hotel. We stayed in the Deluxe rooms, which are newer than the others. They are in a building (with a few steep steps!) but are nice, and ours (on the top floor) had a great view, comfortable beds, and a huge bathroom, as well as a personal safe. These are the better rooms I think as many of the others opened out onto the main walkway to the reception/restaraunt/pool area which people would walk by all the time. They were very helpful and the hotel was right in the middle of everything. Would stay there again!

We spent a very nice time in the pool villa. Breakfast staff was especially helpful. The cleaning-woman as well. What I didnt appreciate so much, was, when we checked out we went to another resort in Koh Samui, and they suddenly didnt want to organise transportation for me and my child. Vi bodde i en Poolvilla under en vecka och vi uppskattade verkligen Montien. Servicen är mkt bra, personalen trevlig och hjälpsam. Restaurangen är superb, en av Chawengs bästa! Ska man vara lite kritisk så är det avsaknaden av barndel/barnpool och att frukosten kunde vara lite mer varierad. Kan varmt rekomendera Montien House! One of the best in the area & I ve stayed at several. Good location, just far enough away from noisy areas for this not to be a problem. Our superior room was comfortable though showing its age a bit. The outside balcony was nice with its own little path leading up to it. You aren t staying in a kind of corridor as you are with several places in the area. The gardens are lush & well kept & the breakfast buffet good. The restaurant & swimming pool areas are lovely. Staff were unobtrusive to a point that could appear rude to some. On the downside, the water heater didn t produce enough properly hot water & the free wi-fi in the restaurant didn t work as the Internet was down. Overall a comfortable place with character. The transport provider should be on time to meet people from flights! Ours wasn t, keeping us hanging around 15 minutes or so wondering whether he would turn up. Fortunately he did. Things were otherwise fine.

Great place to stay, als when you have kids, it s a bit on the more quiet site of the beach, no yet ski s.. The staff is very nice and helpfull. Cleaning is superb. We are back two weeks now, but we have already booked for december!

It s a great hotel for the budget conscious customers. The room and bathroom are clean and fair. The restaurant and the pool is great also. But because it s right in the center of the downtown area, you might hear the music from the bars outside at night. I heard them both nights, but if you turn on the AC, you really cant hear it. But the staff couldn t be more helpful; overall, we had a wonderful stay.

Our Bungalow was perfect, everything worked out better than expected. Service and personel , super. Location, can´t be better. When we sat on our wranda , it was like being in a jungle, birds singing, butterflies. and the sund of Gecko lizards, super. Still we were only 150 meters from the shopping street, but the pool and the beach was only 15 meter away. Perfect location . Free wireless inernet was an extra bonus. We will be Back! The location was great -- right next to that beautiful sand on Chaweng Beach. Even thought there was a Black Moon Party going on during one of the nights that we were there, we really didn t hear it, even though the hotel is REALLY close to the centre of the action on the beach. Some guests said that they were kept up, but it didn t bother us... Our room was great and the house-keeping was spot on. The water in the bathroom did smell a bit like sulphur, but this could be normal for Samui. I have found this smell frequently in some places in Thailand and Vietnam. Not sure if the room was worth the price, but Samui is pretty expensive these days, and I hear that this is one of the better value places on Chaweng Beach. Reception was helpful for the most part, but pretty casual... Everything worked out in the end, but we weren t sure if it would until it did. The breakfast buffet was pretty good, and I say this only since we are both vegetarians -- if you re a carnivore, there s a lot to eat. There is a good omelette bar though. The grounds are pretty, and most of the rooms have nice covered sitting areas to watch the rain from. Our s had a leak though! All in all I d go back to Montien if I were to stay in Chaweng - very central and laid back. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

No flaws. I was skeptical at first, but it all worked out -- from the reservation to the confirmation to the airport pickup service -- it was all great! We would use Sawadee again for our next trip to Thailand. Thanks! Too bad we can t book flights through you. It was also nice to have a welcome home and request for feedback -- a change from companies who don t care.

We spent two weeks in March in this hotel! Liked it from the first glance! Very green,its bushes just fantastic! Very nice location - just in the center of Chaweng! But at the same time a bit aside, so we did not hear the noise from the street, except fireworks and disco every Sat and Wed. We lived in standard rooms 209 and 213 - bathroom in 213 was a bit smelly though. beach is ok, very good for children as it is not deep at all, I would only maybe recommend to clean it more often and there were plastic bags etc in the sea. If you go 200 m you can swim in waves! Breakfast was good, and I can say we enjoyed our staying very very much and would definitely come again!!!! [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Montein House was a big suprise to my wife and I. It had a great pool on the beach and beautiful gardens. The Garden rooms were very standard but clean and acceptable for the price. We had one of the best 5 star thai dinners on the beach and would recommend this to anyone staying in Chaweng. We used Montein House for a one night stay as a stepping stone to get to Koh Tao. It out performed it s purpose and i would recomend Montein to anyone. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Just spent to glorious weeks at Montien in a deluxe room, it was great. Although I would have preferred a bungalow they where booked out. The room was nice, the room cleaned brilliantly daily, fresh sheets, towels. The staff are all happy friendly and helpful. The location is great for the beach and you are right in chewang central, close to legendary Ark Bar and Islander. The thing is if want a good nights sleep you will get one, and i m a light sleeper. Only thing is you need to get up early if you want a prime sunbed...but there is aways a nice deck chair or patch of beach right out front. See you in August! [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

This hotel is situated ap. at the middle of Chaweng beach. There was no problem with the bungalow and the cleaning and the staff was friendly and helpful.The only negative thing I would like to say is the breakfast. It was good but they did not fill up directly when the plates were empty. With a lot of families visting the hotel the breakfast was a bit noicy. It didn´t matter for me but for someone who wants queit it would be a problem. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]
