Very nice setting on the beach although the hotel is at the end of the beach so it s a bit of a hike into town, the benefit being that the area is much quieter. It s also a bit of a walk from your room to the beach unless you re staying in one of the beach front rooms. Staff were OK but not exeptional.

Booked 3 ocean view villa for my family of 7A+1C+1 infant. Plus. Nice room with very good view of pool and sea, beach. Room service and reception excellent. Spa was good. Minus. Need more facilities for kid. A distance away from nearby town. 15mins walk to nearest restaurant outside hotel. Hotel bus service to town is too less. Free internet service only at main lounge.

Good location and nice rooms, buffet breakfast have much choises. Reception is very efficient and good. Housekeeping is very bad as they always forgot the Towels, cleaned up after 5.30pm and needed 30-45min to bring forgot towels to Room. Altogether very nice vacation and good hotel expect the Housekeeping Sercive.

Our staying at Nora wasn t very pleasant. The photos of the hotel posted at its website don t meet reality. The hotel is very old. The swimming pool is too small for such a hotel and smells clorine. Also we didn t like staff. They weren t nice. And it is influence on the atmosphere around you. The restaurant at the hotel really bad but prices are higher than in the other hotels where we stayed. We even got poisoned there. There are only to things that were ok in the hotel: breakfast (quite wide range of dishes), sea (there are still some stones and algae but it is deep enough). If you are not planning to rent a motorbike or a car you d better choose another hotel (closer to the center of Chaweng or better on Lamai)

One big problem is lack of free wifi or at least wired Internet access in rooms. Another lesser problem is distance to Chaweng center and not much shuttles to and from there.

Nora Beach pool Villa - лучшее, что есть на Чавенге со своим бассейном, видом на океан и близостью океана (мы объехали весь Чавенг). Песок на берегу, к сожалению, не Чавенговский, но до Чавега 2 минуты на байке. Другие виллы отеля нормальные, но сравнимое есть везде. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Great place to stay, for us foreigners. Lovely and beautiful hotel by the sea, in a lovley green garden. Quiet good service, BUT for our stepdaughter, who is thai, all personell wasn´t so nice,some treated her bad, a lady doing nails by the pool, and a couple of ohters, women, in the restaurant and by the pool, she said, and added that is common for thais. Not very nice, I wanted to forward this to the management but she did not want me to do so, so I did´nt, even thew I think that´s BAD SERVICE. All guests should be treated equal, we pay equal, that´s not to much to ask for, I think. This hotel did not seem used to have thai customers. We could compare to ohter hotels because we had quite a trip, and lived at 3 more hotels during this holiday, where this problem was´nt obvious. The Spa was loveley, and the personel there very nice, even to my stepdaughter. Do´nt miss it! [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

It is a very nice hotel located on a comparatively quit beach.You have to rent a motobike if you want to go around.Not much activity for children,but great for couples.20-30 minutes ride on motobike you can find a lot of activity for children as well. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Although not locates in center, the hotel provides free shuttle bus to guests. It takes about 10 minutes to downtown. Dinner in the hotel restaurant accompanied by the band is wonderful. We had such a pleasant time at Nora Beach Resort. We stayed at the beachfrot pool villa for 2 nights and wish it could be forever. The room is extremely beautiful, very well decorated, super exclusive since we have our own private beach just right in front of the villa. Staffs are very helpful and friendly. The only drawback was the fact that resort is a lil too far from all the happenings in Chaweng center. However, the rest of the hotel are quite made up for that. We would definitely gonna go back. I Highly recommend this place for a romantic getaway.

nora beach resort & spa is so beautiful. everything about it was amazing, the pool-the beach-the service-the staff were super nice and friendly and very professional-the rooms were very clean, everything was top class. a few mins away from the main nightlife /shopping area which is perfect location for couples who want a lil quite area but if they change their mind for a night out its literally 5 mins drive! We were really pleased with our stay at Nora Beach. It was our second visit to the resort and everything was just as wonderful as our previous vist. The staff couldn t do enough to help you, the place was spotless and we enjoyed every minute. We really enjoyed the breakfasts. There was an amazing variety of food, practically everything you could imagine in buffet style and there was also chef to cook certain types of food to order / how you like it. You get to eat your breakfast by the lovely beach. I could have stay at Nora Beach forever! When we left, our flight was early in the morning. The staff contacted us the day before to ask what time we were leaving as they were aware of this. They then arraged for one of the staff to take us to the airport, no charge, and they packed us up a breakfast and drinks to take to the airport with us! It was so nice! I would definately recommend Nora Beach to anyone and would love to return again one day. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Отличный отель! прекрасное обслуживание, хорошие рестораны по довольно приемлемым ценам, отличное расположение - в тишине у моря, но при этом недалеко (5мин на машине и 15-20мин пешком) от светской жизни - рестораны, бары, магазины района Chaweng Beach. The hotel is just fabulous. Good location, high quality rooms an service. Staff is very friendly. try to avoid service of trainees. It just takes a little longer. Food was very good. Took a Thai cooking class and it was worth it. The beach itself is not really good, lots of stones in the sea, but since the water is really warm no one is swimming up there. Pool was a perfect option. The staff of the pool bar is also very friendly.

This resort has definitely made it s place on my list as number 1 of all time visited to date. First class resort, wonderfully helpful and friendly staff that went the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable and happy. My 16 yo daughter and I stayed in the Ocean Pool Villa which was very classy, very comfortable and fully kitted out. The size was even bigger than what was shown on the web photos and beautifully bright villa surrounded by lush greenery. 3 sets of ranch sliders opened up the internal living area directly to a spacious private deck. The private swimming pool added that extra touch and could literally be stepped into directly from the living area. Other the fancy touches like fresh flowers decorating the bed linen on the massive four poster bed and more peppering the coconut milk filled bath tub had made a beautiful welcoming sight for our late evening arrival. Fresh complimentary fruit basket was very tasty and Expresso coffee maker added a wonderful aroma to the place in the mornings. Two televisions and an inhouse hi-fi made sure my daughter and I didn t need to debate what movie we wanted to watch (cheap DVD rentals provided direct to room). The beach was a hop and a skip from our villa, very clean and safe for kids and deep enough for grown ups. Even the sand on the beach is groomed daily for the guests. Hotel security staff patroling the beach gave that added peace of mind, not that they were needed. Both my daughter and I can attest that we have had our best ever spa experience at the resorts own Spa, 2.5 hrs of shear heaven.... ahhh! Food was good and of course so were the cocktails at the pool bar. OK, may seem a bit on the pricey side to some but it s still good value as you definitely get what you pay for. Off season is the time to cash in on huge room discounts. The Nora has exceeded my expectations and made our holiday the best ever. I will definitely be returning back there.

A lovely resort, which is far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Chaewang yet close enough to take a leisurely stroll in (along the beach, not via the road) when desired. The free shuttle service into the resort centre gets full very quickly, so arrive early if you want a lift in! Service was excellent and we would recommend going for a Nora Pool Villa if you can - extremly spacious and with all mod cons; the luxury of having a private pool made our stay perfect. Our one gripe was that they do not provide sunbeds/loungers with the villas, which although a minor issue was an annoyance - some improvisation with the villa furniture sorted that out though! Taxi prices from the resort to elsewhere are steep, so try and hop on one of the open-backed jeeps if venturing out. It is worth arranging transfers from to/from the airport prior to your visit as both teh hotel shuttle and taxis are again, expensive.... Overall - highly recommended and surprised it doesn t get a mention in the Lonely Planet guides! [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

The hotel was fabulous, as were the reception staff, and the Ocean Pool Villa was just what we needed with our own private pool as well as a private stretch of beach. The restaurant was average, so we ate out most of the time. Convenient shuttle bus service to and from Chaweng downtown was much appreciated. Their spa is also great - definitely worth the price. One thing they could probably improve is to offer free internet access to guests. Also, if you know you re going to have to be online a few hours a day, make sure that the room they give you has an active hotspot working near your room - ours didn t, and we were without access for the first few days, apart from the 2 computers in the lobby that you re only allowed ot use for 15 min at a time. All in all though, it was a truly great, relaxing week at a first class resort.

We stayed the second time in Nora Beach Resort at Chaweng Beach - and against our memories it was very disappointing this time. 3 years ago everything was in a good shape but it looks like they do not reinvest one Baht in this Hotel. We booked a Ocean Villa for more than 8.000 Baht a night - and we had holes in towels, old and more than used furniture, a broken shower etc. etc. very sad. The staff is very friendly, the food good and the Resort itself fantastic. But the Rooms and whole interior is in a sad shape. Sorry - I expect much more for so much money and will for sure not return to this hotel again.

This hotel was by far the best hotel I have ever stayed on whilst in Chaweng. On arrival we received a free upgrade and the resort, room and service was superb. The hotel is situated slightly out of Chaweng but they do offer a courtesy shuttle service but it s not expensive to catch a taxi to the main strip. The swimming pool was gorgeous and the bar and restaurant were fantastic value for money. Would definitely stay there again!

This hotel was lovely. It was around 15 minutes from the airport. We were staying the deluxe ocean pool suite which was beautiful. The hotel was on north chaweng beach and was the only hotel on this strip it was around a 10 minute walk along the beach to get to main chaweng beach where all the action is. My only complaint about the hotel is that the beach is not that great to swim in and it is very WINDY, once you walk to main chaweng beach it is protected from the wind so it is calm but where the nora located it is very windy. The Staff are amazing - so friendly and obliging! The breakfast was divine - a wide range from healthy options, English Breakfast, Continental Breakfast through to traditional Thai! This hotel is one of the best on the island. Everything is luxury, new, the staff extremely friendly and everybody can speek perfect english. The swimming pool is great, as well as the restaurant and the villas. The breakfast was the best I ve ever made, there was almost everything and all was fresh. The garden around the villas is relaxing. We had a great time there and I will definitely go back again. If you re looking for a quite and nice place out of busy Chaweng go to Nora Beach! We have just returned from a one week stay at the Nora Beach Resort and it most certainly was not long enough there! The hotel is truly stunning from the reception area all the way down to the pool area. The location is ideal as you are 5mins tuk tuk ride from town and far away enough from the hustle and bustle of chaweng high street to truly relax and enjoy the private beach. Fantastic staff & delicious food topped off a wonderful week away so I very much look forward to returning very soon! [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

We were in the Ocean View villa. Love it! The whole resort is very green, neat and clean. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Makes us feel very welcome. The pool is very nice and is a great place to meet other guests. The pool bar is excellent and happy hour at 2pm is something to look forward to everyday! Highly recommended.

We spent 4 fantastic nights at the Nora Beach Resort and I would happily recommend it to anybody. We stayed in one of the ocean pool villas which although expensive for thailand was complete luxury. the hotel charges 24000 baht a night if you book through them but you can get it for 14000 on sawadee.com in the low season. For the money though you get an enormous luxurious villa literally on the beach around the corner from chaweng in a secluded area. You have your own infinity pool less than a metre from your doorstep and your own section of beach right out the front. There are also lounges on the sand for you and a day bed to laze around in. We found the secret was to empty the mini bar, go into Chaweng and find a supermarket and stock up on as many drinks as you can fit in the fridge and then spend the rest of the day migrating between the pool and the lounge chairs to regulate your tan and body temperature :p There are also widescreen tv s in the lounge and bedroom and a great little stereo/dvd player that you can play some chillout music through whilst you lay on the beach. The service is great with a golf cart always on hand to drop you at your room. Breakfast is your standard buffet and the restaurant is not bad if you feel like getting some good western food into you and a glass of red. A bit pricey in thailand terms but worth every penny for relaxation value [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

The hotel is nice,5 min to town, staffs are friendly, we stay in pool villa and deluxe room, villa are in perfect condition, but deluxe room is a bit old. Both side on the beach is having construction right now, but I will return next time. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

really nice hotel, rooms and facilities were excellent. only thing i would say is that the food was a disappointment, but with all the choice available in chaweng it wasnt a problem. its a good spot as its not right in the centre of busy chaweng but easy enough to get to and the hotel even run a shuttle service. all in all a very nice hotel but would was let down a bit by the food

We were on Nora on low season so lots of chairs + free space. Very quiet beach but bad for swimming. Nice pool area. Location is 5 min taxi drive (100 TBH) from Chaweng centre (which is a good thing since the centre is quite hectic). Rooms nice. Hotel was good but chaweng was terrible. A tourist trap with no thai spirit.

Excellent! Beautiful bungalows with spacious bathroom. Breakfast buffet is very good, nice pool bar. Unfortunately for dining there is not enough Thai specialities. Friendly staff. The Spa is also wonderful! Would go there again during next holiday in Koh Samui.

This would have to rate as the best resort we stayed at in Thailand. Close enough to the centre of attention – Chewang Beach and far enough away to be away from it all. A beautiful Resort overlooking a nice beach and bay, although the beach is really only any good for swimming at high tide, which goes for most, if not all beaches on Koh Samui. We booked 2 adjoining ocean view villas which were very clean and comfortable. These were the best rooms on offer until the resort recently opened the new Garden View Pool and Ocean View Pool villas. We got to have a look through the latter and they are magnificent (with a price to match), with their own private day bed, plunge pool and spa, private stretch of beach and a 24hr attendant! The resort restaurant is very good, with a wide selection to pick from and regular theme nights and the staff were great and ready to go out of their way to serve. While there were plenty of other great looking resorts around the island, we would definitely stay at the Nora Beach again. Over our expectation, and we had quite high expectation. Well-managed, clean and smooth all over the area. Nice and friendly staff, always helpful. The pool area and beach is in top class, but one must bee aware that it is a some kind of a coral beach, not like the powder sandy beach at central Chaweng. The food and breakfast at the restaurant are tasteful.

We stayed at the Nora Resort in April 07 and found it to be a very appealing charming and very well maintained place. The staff and service were both excellent. The reort is 2kms north of the main strip, which I think is an advantage. Having a private beach without the incessant jet skis and ski boats you found at Chaweng made it far more peaceful. Having walked through a number of the resorts in Chaweng, I would recommend the hotel as a good value option for couples looking for a place to unwind.

Really nice Hotel, rooms excellent, service first class, nothing was too much trouble for the excellent staff, views, beach, restaurant and pool all very good. Nora beach is located just far enough away from main Chewang centre to make it quite and peaceful but close enough to pop in and out (short taxi ride). Would be happy to recommend this Hotel

A realy nice hotel. More than we excpected. All staff were very helpfull and allways nice. No bad things at all. A stoning pool area with good service. The beach are not a corlbeach but something near it. I would defenttly recomend it and I will go back

The hotel was lovely our room was particularly nice and peaceful. The resort was full and Island overcrowded with far too many tourists. Jet skis everywhere. Such a shame that such a beautiful place should be ruined.

Very nice hotel in beautiful natural surroundings. We had a nice room in the building on the 3rd floor with beautiful view over the resort and the sea. The resort is on a hill, but it was not too steep for us. The staff were very friendly and we were surprised to find a birthday cake in the room on my husbands birthday. The pool was very nice, but a bit too crowded (people were claiming sunbeds in the morning; quite childish). Breakfast was good, enough choice for everyone. The center of Chaweng was about 20 minutes walk from the hotel, but you can also take a shared open taxi for 50 Baht per person. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

We stayed at the Nora Beach in Feb 2007. Very good hotel, we had a delux room with sea view (very nice.) The hotel is a little way out of town and it cost us 200baht each way in a taxi to get to the shop and restaurants. Not much going on at night in the hotel so most people went into Chewang Beach, lots of bars, restaurants, and shops. The beach at the hotel is only small and narrow but we found it easy to get a lounger and shade most times of the day. The food was OK but it was cheaper to eat in town. If you are looking for a quiet holiday I would reccommend the Nora Beach.

Great place to stay.We got upgrated to the villa, which is really nice with spacious room & balcony. Good breakfast, lots of choices.The hotel is a little far from central Chaweng,but has great sea to swim in (deep enough to swim compared to the beach in central). What a beautiful resort! Excellent service, gorgeous rooms and facilities and great food. We also used the spa twice which was very high end compared to others in the area. Great value for the money! Also got a free upgraded room which we appreciated. Deluxe Oceanview Villa was outstanding.

Great hotel with friendly service. My wife and I stayed there for our honeymoon and we were very happy with the room and the quality of the service. All the staff are very friendly and willing to help in any situation. The only drawback with this resort is that they are situated outside of Chawenge beach which means you need to catch a taxi, tuk-tuk, or hire a motorbike to get into town. Otherwise its a great place to stay. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]
