We had a wonderful time and loved the location, a short walk to dining and shopping and right on the ocean with easy access to the entire Chaweng Beach. Staff was courteous and kind and the resort very clean and well maintained.

Our stay at Papillon was great. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff friendly and the food very good. The view of the ocean from the resort was beautiful and had direct access to the beach and shallow waters. The pool was also very nice. We had everything we needed and the main road was a three minute walk where there were lots of restaurants and services. If we return to Chaweng Beach we would stay here again! We stayed our 2nd time there for a few nights. Same like 4 years ago - great Bungalow (connected) for 2 adults and 3 children (3,7,10), typical european breakfast and a nice seaview. The staff was very friendly! [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Papillon resort was lovely, the rooms were clean, comfortable and the hotel is in a quite location at the end of the main beach strip although there is only a small strip of beach at the front of the hotel at low tide, the water is calm and not terribly deep so it is great for swimming. I cannot comment on the meals as the restaurant was closed for renovations as we visited in the low season but we had a choice of breakfasts which were all good. It is an easy 10 to 15 minute walk from the hotel to the main area of town which we didn t have any issue with at all (helped work off some of our holiday indulgence calories) The bungalow style rooms make for a very quite stay which was great for sleeping. We were very satisfied with the overall look and feel of this place and the staff were just lovely. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Great service our flights were changed by the airline at the last minute, I emailed through late in the evening to tell them that we were still coming but would now be a day late, I received a reply almost immediately and it was all sorted out with no hassles...very happy with everything

Me and my family enjoyed a great stay at papillon. Fantastic service and always ready to help when we needed to plan a trip or get a taxi. Quiet but still close to other restaurants or hotels. Great food at the hotel... Must try their kai pad met muang... Can t wait to go back. Thank you papillon.

This place was lovely. The food was awesome at the restaurant, the pool was great, the setting was pristine. Our room was clean and spacious, very comfortable. The location is great because it s close to chaewang but away from the chaos, very secluded little spot. The staff was fantastic, friendly and helpful. Small, guiet and relaxing hotel. Perfect for family with kids that dont want to be desturbed by boozing youth. The pool is a little small and the loss of a beach outside the hotell is a minus for the resort, still big chaweng is just around the corner.

Our stay at papillon was ok, but you should arrenge new beds in cottage 5, we stayed there for ten days and non of us had a good night sleep during our stay in cottage 5, and also you should arrenge more sunbeds so that all the guest in papillon could have one

Small bungalows with noisy AC. small pool but OK for cool down See level low = 30-60cm depth several 100 metes out from the resort. Hotel service excellent. Kitchen: Best in class, the Pad Thai chicken was fantastic

Great Family resort. Mini-suites with Mezzanine bed and separate bedroom worked well for having kids. The staff were terrific - very friendly and helpful and great with the kids. Good end of the beach - easy to access the beach but away from all the hustle of the main beach. The pool is small - no problem when quiet. Great value and very relaxing.

It was a great experiance. We stayed 5 nights with 2 children in the bungalow in front of the pool and the sea and we loved it. We´ve got a room-upgrade because of the low-season and it was fantastic. The bungalow was very stylish, new, but a bit too small for families and always clean. The staff was also friendly and the breakfast was good. Only the pool was a bit pity. The resort ist located on the end of chaweng, where it is very quite and the sea is perfect, but you can´t swimm. When we were leaving they brought us to the airport not for free. Papillon Resort we can recommend to anyone – good service for good price. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

We spent 8 nights at Papillon Resort and were completely ssatisfied! The room was very unique with a loft type bedroom and a Flintstone type bathroom. The staff were excellent and very helpful with any needs. The location on the north end of Chewang meant it was very quiet yet only 5-10 minutes from all the action . Bra hotell i lugnt läge i norra Chaweng.Fina bungalows,trevlig personal och bra frukost.Tyvärr inte så barnvänligt för små barn,då det stupade flera meter rätt ner till havet.Ett litet minus var att handdukarna som byttes varje dag hela tiden luktade rått och unket.Men bra hotell för de som vill bo lite lugnare men samtidigt ha närheten till Chaweng. Väldigt bra hotell med lugnt läge i norra Chaweng.Bra personal och gudomlig frukost. Perfect bungalow at the end of Chaweng beach! You don´t have to be bothered by annoying salespersons because it´s far from the most busy part of the beach. no complaints, booking went well, hotel staff and management were friendly, although in Chaweng it was the quiet side of the beach. I never tried the food as I was always eating out. The pool was adequate, but kinda small, would not be a good pool for laps. Would I return yes I would!

I would recommend a stay for anyone who wishes to have a nice relaxing holiday free of hassles. The staff from the wonderful manager, barman and restaurant staff were asolutely outstanding. I thank them all sincerely for making my stay so memorable. Having said that I was primarily in Samui to attend the wedding of my niece Suzy to Rob. It was a great day for them and also for their guests who were lucky enough to be able to attend. In my opinion this event was very well organised and credit should be given to those responsible. What a great place to stay, the staff were most helpfull, the rooms are a little dark.If you dont have your own transport getting into town or just shopping is dear--200bht to just to go into town.I dont think i will stay there again, it was poor value for money, you can stay for half the price in Phuket.( THEY PUT A GOOD WEDDING ON ) [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Кроме того что этот отель находится близко к Чавенгу ничего положительного сказать не могу, да и от него до тусовки пешком не дойти 4-5 минут на байке, пляж есть но это пляжем не назовёшь - с бетонной плиты если в воду хотите искупаться и то по колено, вокруг отеля стройки и рыбацкие лачуги, он как бы на косе находится крайний, в общем вечером с закатом солнца вода уходит и можно километр пешком по воде, мы его взяли потому что в преддверии нового года мест в других отелях не было, а если и были на порядок дороже, вообщем не угадали мы с этим отелем, никому его не советую, нет там положительных моментов, если только совсем негде переночевать, что мы и делали - только ночевали или заехать переодеться привести себя в порядок, сам отельчик слабая 3-ка, нет желания про него писать. В нашем бунгало пахло сыростью, напротив находилось подсобное помещение, где с 7-00 персонал гремел тележкой меняли полотенца, гремели посудой а ещё сидели и ели перед нашим номером, на 3-й день я сделала замечание, они конечно улыбаются пытаются угодить как и все тайцы, всё стихло только всё ж у отеля купаться нет возможности и вокруг пейзаж не очень, вообщем не рекомендую не стоит он тех денег, а Новогодний ужин это конечно было полное недоразумение, носили по списку типо разные блюда всё несьедобное сиротское вообщем, мы уехали на Чавенг где встретили своих новых друзей и весело встретили 2009 год под бесконечный салют. Malgré la pluie battante qui s est abbatue lors de nos 5 jours passés sur cette île, nous avons été très satisfait de l hotel. Les gérants français sont très sympas et leur personnel thaïlandais est également très bien. Seul hic, deux chantiers sont des côtés de l hotel avec des bruits de marteau de 9h à 18h tous les jours. Si nous l avions sur nous aurions surement changé d hotel.

Polite staff, very good reservation scheme, good room conditions. What is preferable is to add more channels, as now the channels are mostly on Thai language, only one channel is in English. Final opinion - good level of provided services.

The resort is small and more personal and a bit away from main area in Chaweng Beach which was what we were after. Our villa was good and the staff are lovely and friendly. We enjoyed Koh Samui a lot better than the hustle and bustle of Patong Beach. Next time we will go straight to Koh Samui.

Awesome! Down the nice quiet end of the beach. The food at the restaurant is really reasonable priced and really delicious! The free breakfast is good, not buffet but a wide range of options. The rooms were clean and pleasant. The pool is really nice and clean and well set up. The massages were great. Highly reccomended value for money. This was our second time at Papillon, we enjoyed the same beautiful surroundings as before: palm trees, orchids everywhere, lovely pool and jacuzzi, right by the sea. Friendly staff, delicious breakfasts, and good position if you have wheels - otherwise bit difficult to get downtown. If afraid of bugs, don t choose the standard bungalow, go for a superior or suite (we had a standard this year with huge spiders, black worms, and some undefined things, while last year no problems in the superior, except a gecco or two). Great value for money.

We had a fantastic stay at the resort. The Superior Bungalow was very spacious and clean, the water power was a bit rubbish but that is a small criticisms . Sak the Thai manger was a great person and I thoroughly recommend visiting his restaurant up the road. Would definitely stay again.

Very nice resort! Situated in the north end of Chaeweng, this means you will not be disturbed by all the beachsalesmen that walks among Chaeweng beach.Managed by a Frenchmen, all the staff was very friendly and serviceminded, good food,good breakfast,nice pool,very good cleaning.We got new sheets every day!My family will certainly return to this resort next time we are in Samui!

really nice hotel with well plants,friendly clerks and all kinds of convenient tourist informations. But the beach there is not as nice as the center of Chaweng. But very high value of money.

after all great resort located in the quite part of the beach ;the crew are very nice & friendly the rooms are a bit dark - but who needs more than that when you are staying outside most of the time ; if you are looking for a cost fun pointof view great resort [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Il Papillon Resort e una struttura fantastica, buon cibo europeo e Thai un servizio eccellente su tutti i profili. Locali puliti e un management di 1° livello- Consta di 24 bungalow di varie dimensioni per le svariate esigenze. Il mio il numero 23 era veramente accogliente a grande 30 mq reali, con frigo-bar, acqua calda, ventilatore da soffitto, aria condizionata, e un bel letto matrimoniale il tutto contornato da quadri e rifiniture di pregio. Ovviamente un bel bagno interno al bungalow veramnte perfetto. Vicino al mare veramente pochi passi. Poi chi dice che i taxi non arrivano ..beh dico che si sbagliano. con soli 200 bath si arriva e si parte dal Papillon per la vita notturna di Chaweng- Se poi volete ancora risparmiare in motorbike con l autista e voi dietro potete essere accompagnati per soli 100 bath. Se siete invece esigenti potete noleggiare un motorbike quest ultima ipotesi da me scartata per non esistono assicurazioni e se vi capita qualcosa pagate di vostra tasca. Un grazie ancora per il servizio al Management e ai titolari, ai ragazzi dello staff veramente amichevoli. Beh non vi resta che arrivare a Koh Samui e prenotare al Papillon Resort. This was our last night stopover before returning home. Nice quiet hotel, with good food and cocktails (albeit pricy for Thailand). Only downsides was the room smelled of damp slightly and there were lots of mosquitos and no mozzie net. However the receptionist provided us with a can of mozzie spray for the room, which we sprayed the room before heading out and killed the lot. Air con worked well. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Its a beautifull Resort right on the beach with beautifull ambience and beautifull sceneary around. We were a group of 7 people and all of us enjoyed our stay in Papillon Resort. Not to forget the excellent service and support we got from the staff of Papillon Resort. We highly recommend people to stay in Papillon Resort. Beautifull place for Couples to spend time..... If I got a chance I will definitely go back to the same Hotel..

Very happy with hotel, rooms were clean and aircon, hot water systems and other functions worked well, staff were very friendly, food was very good quality only negitive is that beach area is limited and when tide is out the sea is hundeds of meters walk away, I would definitely stay there again

A very nice hotel with friendly staff. The hotel was located right on the beach wich was perfect. The bungalow was Ok and you could choose between different breakfast, that was good because you could take a new breakfast every day so you want get tired of it. The only bad thing with the hotel was the location. To get to the center you have to take a taxi, and you could not catch a taxi right outside the hotel, you have to walk about 500 meter and there is a long uphill slope. And when you wanted to go back to the hotel, the taxi never drived to the hotel, they left you at the same spot as you catch the taxi, 500 meters from the hotel. But it was nice and quiet at night. I could really recommend this hotel it is very worth its price. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

We loved this resort. It is not 5 star in appearance but with the service and friendliness of the staff it felt like a 5 star. We were with our two children (age 4 and 2). Great pool for the kids. The resort is outside the craziness of Chaweng which makes it a nice quiet place to relax...but not too far that a quick 5 minute scooter ride gets you into the action. I rented a scooter from the resort...6 bucks (Canadian) a day...it was fun...but be careful in town...it is very busy. The food at the resort was awesome! When the tide is low you can walk down Chaweng beach for exercise as well as numerous beachside restaurants to choose from. Thai massage was good and inexpensive (10 bucks for an hour). Recommend this resort for families. For a family you can rent two garden suites that are attached...it will sleep up to six.

Gill & his staff were fantastic. Couldn t have made us more welcome. A bit of a trek to get into town but it was nice to be away from all the noise. Any problems with the rooms were fixed immediately & I have to mention our wonderful breakfast waiter who was teaching us to speak Thai.

Great place, great staff, great location. Would highly recommend this place to anyone. About a 15 minute walk from the centre of the action but a very cheap cab fare anyway. I think this is an advantage as you can relax in peace and quiet yet still get to all the action very quickly/inexpensively. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Good villas and beautiful place with plenty of orchid plants. Location although slightly out of city but yet not too far with ample taxies asking above average prices.Location is good for relaxation and peace and the beach is good for swimming. Breakfast is excellent and the staff very helpful and always curteous with a smile.Accommodation was excellent and rooms attended daily. Excellent. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

We had an excellent time at Papillon Resort. A peaceful location on the most secluded beach in the area. The rooms were large and well styled. Good shower. The restaurant s service is very fast and friendly, the best coffee! Tasty food. But the best thing is the management, they are very reasonable, they refunded us the money for the 1st night we missed because of flight delays. Most hotels would tell you to ask the airline for the money. The resort has a great vibe because of the French managers, they are helpful and friendly. We would defintely stay here again.
