Kleines Resort nahe dem Flughafen. Zimmer schön und sauber. Direkt am Strand. Essen war gut. Ausserhalb der Anlage viele Restaurants wo man gut und günstig Essen kann. Gut gelegen wenn man danach nach Koh Phangan reist. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Fantastic place, friendly and helpful staff throughout. Lovely gardens and 2 crystal clear swimming pools. Sit in the Fishermans village area which is filled with market stalls, eateries and pubs. Beach a stone throw away from Smile house. I loved the odd cats and dogs around as I am a huge animal lover. I will definitely come here again and I highly recommend the place for All it offers and more.

A very well looked after resort. There were staff around the grounds cleaning and maintaining it most of the time. The pools were both clean and clear, with plenty of good sun loungers. The chalet we stayed in was spacious and clean, with full servicing each day. Although there was not a great outlook we enjoyed the private balcony with an outdoor fan to cool off on the hot days. The buffet breakfast had a good range of food, the omelets were especially good. We would definitely stay here again. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

A good Hotel in an excellent location in the fishersman village We have stayed there on three previous occassions and will continue to go back. We had a slight problem with a smell after using the shower and this was attended to as best they could The restaurant is located on the beach and there are two swimming pools to utilise. The staff of the hotel are friendly and helpful and speak good English [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

A beautiful, well kept resort with easy access to two pools. Villas are spread through some beautiful gardens and staff are always maintaing it. Rooms are cleaned daily with new towels and water, also good breakfast choices.

Stora, luftiga rum i egen bungalow i mycket vacker och frodig trädgård. 2 pooler, varav barndel i en. Mitt i Fishermans Village som kryllar av butiker och restauranger och barer. Stranden över gatan där man också åt frukost. Mycket fin och bra frukost. Var endast en natt på hotellet men skulle gärna återvända och rekommendera till andra.

Vi hadde en flott opplevelse når vi bodde på Smile House. Hotellet lå i Fishermans village ca 10 minutter kjøring fra Chawengstranden. Vi ønsket en rolig og avslappende ferie og det fikk vi der. Når vi ønsket det kunne vi oppsøke bråket/livet på Chaweng. Minuset med Fishermans village er at stranden ikke er så fin, men bassengområdet var flott og rolig. Vi var der i desember og det er jo en måned med en del regn på Koh Samui, så bassenget passet oss fint. Husene var fine og rene. Frokosten var helt ok. Fin ferieplass;-) [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

We stayed a few times on koh samui on different beaches and different Resorts, but at smile house best value for money. It was our 2nd time at smile house with our 3 daughters (3,7,10) and all of ous enjoyed it! Great breakfast, nice pool, friendly staff - Thai owned. We had a wonderful time staff were VERY good and service was excellent. The only issue we had was other guests leaving towels early in the day to SAVE for later use loungers around the pool this needs to be addressed as there were a few conflicts arising from this practice.

Stayed at resort for 7 days and loved it a lot! Beautiful kept gardens and two large swimming pools. Breakfast at the beach was stunning and big spread. Right next to Fisherman Village, so absolutely central to everything. Other resorts are further away, so not as practical, whereas Smile House suited us perfectly. Will be back.

The hotel was nothing as expected. There is no private beach, the beach itself is very narrow and quite dirty. The hotel is detached from the beach by quite a busy street.

Hôtel très agréable, joli jardin tropical très bien entretenu et très calme,2 piscines, l implantation des bungalows et très bien faite et chacun garde son intimité. Nous avions réservé un family chalet avec 2 chambres, 2 salles de bain, salon, mezzanine et terrasse. D autre part, l hôtel est très bien situé dans le fisherman village où l on trouve de nombreux restaurants et boutiques (rue animée mais pas trop...) Je recommande cet hôtel. the rooms was beautiful, 2 big rooms for our familly i was like a house in teck in thai style very nice, charming. every rooms are very close the the 2 beautiful swimming pools The hotel is very well located, near a charming fisherman village and at 50m to the beach and see. Staff was nice helpful, and professionnal ( except breafisrt staff, not very kind and has forgotten what smile mean). We had a wonderful holiday at Smile House. The check in was quick, and after 3nights we upgraded to a luxary bungalow, which was very good.The ladies in the reception are all very nice, and will particulary mention TIK which was very helpfull and she speaks good English so she is easy to understand.The breakfast in the restaurant on the beach was also delicious. I do hope we will bee able to come back, and can fully recommend Smile House.

Smile house is a fantastic hotel, very clean and the staff very helpfully and friendly. The only thing I might say is that if you are out after 10pm the reception closes and you have to go find the security man for your room key. Location is great lots of beach and places to eat. The Friday market is a great place to soak up the local flavours. So make sure your stay is over a Friday. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Nice resort in Fisherman s Village. Has two lovely pools and is very near the beach, even though you have to cross a quiet road. The restaurant is on the beach. Loved the breakfast overlooking the sea, even though we had to eat it inside. There are a lot of mosquitoes in the gardens and around the bungalows. Recommend using spray and coils day and night. The staff, and especially the cleaners, were fantastic - always joking and playing with our kids. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Отель хороший с большой зеленой ухоженной территорией, есть два бассейна. Номера немного ушатаные - заселение началось с необходимости объяснить персоналу почему не рабочий кондиционер в +35 - это не айс ... Правда починили довольно оперативно. Душевые не сильно чистые, в номерах куча москитов - спасались только купленным заранее репелентом. Неплохой шведский стол на завтрак, но нигде не отмечено практически отсутствие пляжа: на пляже кафе отеля, дно очень илистое, здесь же пляж для коров и быков - каждое утро пригоняли стадо на купание :-) Чуть левее (метров 200) есть пляж другого отеля, но само собой ни шезлонгов, ни столиков. Расположение отеля спорное - практически в центре Fisherman Filage, соответственно в пятницу - к отелю не пробраться на машине, да и в остальные дни это забавный аттракцион - других дорог нет :)

Very nice resort with perfect location in Fisherman s village. We stayed in a Luxury Terrace bungalow. Very big with two large bedrooms and one living room. Two bathrooms with shower and toilet. Big terrace with nice furniture. Very good breakfast, but expensive restaurant. Very good food. Nice pools, but the tiles around the pool nearest beach was to hot to step on without shoes and water very hot :-) The other pool was shady and very nice in the afternoon. Beautiful gardens. Rooms cleaned each day. Lovely bungalows. We had two bungalows and both were nice. Water in shower in one bungalow was cold and in the other was only warm. Front desk staff and restaurant staff could smile a little. Not particularly friendly. And the breakfast was horrible. We re not fussy and put up with alot of things, but give the breakfast a miss. lack of hot water in bathroom - both in handbasin and shower. hot water is an infection control/hand hygiene basic requirement which should be provided. also soap and hand towels were not replaced when needed.

If ever you are looking for great value, this is the place to stay. Absolutely incredible. Quieter than the other locations but close enough to drive there. Highly recommended.

I am a regular visitor to Smile House and it is a worthwhile place to visit however I continue to be disappointed by the breakfast offering which is really needing to be improved, not much apart from eggs and the bread is stale and tasteless. Service at breakfast is also a problem with slow clearing of plates and a smile would be nice given it is Smile House . [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

tres bon hotel au calme(tout le contraire de chaweng);les bungalows sont situes dans un jardin luxuriant,tres agreable.les deux piscines sont tres correctes et bien entretenues. le linge de chambre(draps serviettes taies d oreillers etc est changé tous les jours et le personnel hyper gentil et souriant; le petit dejeuner est tres bien et varie chaque jour et le personnel avenant un hotel a recommande et notre seul souhait , y retourner tres vite, ce que nous préparons deja...! fantastic holiday - great resort and lovely staff. loved the pools (though a little too much clorine) and the beautiful gardens. Beds could have been a little softer as I have a bad back but the rooms were lovely. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Ein traumhafter Urlaub in einer sehr schönen Hotelanlage mit Einzelbungalows, eingelassen in einem riesigen, traumhaften tropischen Garten mit 2 schönen Pools! Ein Highlight ist auch das Restaurant direkt am Meer mit einem immer freundlichen Service!

I loved my stay at Smile House, the staff was very kind and helpfull and the 10 days were better than i thought. I will certanly be back. Perfect location in the lovely fishermens village. I just have to thank all staff for the lovely holidays. Just one remark and this one is to make smile house even better, try to have staff on the swimming pool for guest to request food and drinks from the restaurant and please put phones in the rooms, we had two rooms not very far from each other but everytime we need to say something we had to go to the other room, apoart from this...just perfect. Thank you all for the lovely 10 days.

Always a pleasent stay at Smile resort. I think its our 4th time staying att this hotel.Staying in Deluxe bungalow. 2 adult and 2 children, the oldest 3 year in an extrabed, the 6 years old can share bed with adult. The bungalow is big anough for our family. Clean and fresh. And side by side with the biggest pool of 2. The smaller pool is nearby the bigger family bungalows. Also the restaurang is lovely. The breakfast is perfect. And in the evening you can eat both in restaurang and at the beach..

A unique experience, so much better than other traditional hotels that all look alike. The bungalow are very comfortable, with air-con, a sort of Home from home experience with the added bonus of fantastic daily cleaning (with new sheets & towels) and definitely service with smiles. We felt very welcome and pour children said that they felt like smiling all the time as we were greeted by so many smiles everyday. Ha ving 2 swimming pools to choose from was an added bonus (one of them even has free wifi access). We hired a car for a few days and the staff at Smile House made the process very smooth especially when we decided to keep the car for an extra day. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Nice hotel located in Bophut, decent price. However, the restaurants in the area are not decently priced, they are quite high-end and thus pricey. Hotel breakfast is good, rooms are clean, staff is friendly. The beach near the hotel is not that good though, big grains so not very comfortable. Their swimming pool(s) are nice and clean though, but their free Internet service is only available at the pool area, not in the rooms which I think is a pity. My only complaint is that when I paid for motorbike rental and ferry tickets booked through the hotel, they (their bank) converted into my local currency at a horrendous rate, and when asked about it, they claimed no knowledge and just blamed the bank and showed zero understanding that they just cost me several percent for that payment. A truly superb hotel with delightful staff. Our room was clean, comfortable, well equipped, there was even a vase of beautiful flowers waiting for our arrival. Eating the delicious breakfast each morning looking across the turquoise water was just a dream. The female staff in their elegant uniforms looked tremendous. Anyone going to stay here is in for a real treat.

The hotel is very nice. We stayed at a bungalow for five days, and liked it very mutch. The breakfast buffet is really good and the restaurant is right on the beach. The only thing is that some of the bungalows is as mutch as 400 meters from the beach, and the beach is not clean. The water is not good. The hotel is right in Fishermans village, and that is nice. If you are not going to be at the beach, this is a nice place to stay! Very nice swimmingpools. One in the front and one in the end of the garden. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Simply the best recommendations from af a dansh family, with 3 kids. We stayed in the 3 bedroom villa,which is surprising luxurious . wow! Breakfast buffet is great in the newbuilded wooden house. This with the stunning seaview and just next to the wonderfull beach massage. Absolutely overwelming and nice nice staff - they just loved our kids, helped with fax an so on - they even sent a forgotten suit by a quick flight to Bangkok before we left the country from there! Smile House lived up to its name. We loved it. We did have a two bedroom, two bathroom, sitting room and a lovely outside balcony. Excellent for four and cost around 100 a night. Breakfast was included and apart from the coffee being so strong(I love mine strong) it was nice. The location in Boput was fantastic, right on the beach. Staff were friendly and helpful. Shopping was great and the location was easily accessable to some great day tours. We would go back in a flash. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

We have stayed in the smile house many times and always find it fantastic rooms are cleaned everyday huge bed and fresh flowers were in the room which was a lovely touch, showers are are very low pressure but it doesnt cause a huge problem, prime location with everything you need on you door. The spa is very handy and would recommend the massage very relaxing and private little more pricey than most places but you get what you pay for.One improvement would be the pool area service there are no refreshments would be nice if a service was provided to serve refreshemnts around the pool apart from that i would highly recommed to anyone young or old see you next year !

We stayed for two weeks. The room was nice and clean and the staff were really friendly. The restaurant was still being built but they gave us as much breakfast as we wanted every morning in our rooms, providing we ordered the night before. Once or twice they gave us more than we asked for. The weren t that many other guests so there was plenty of room by the pools and the resort is very close to the beach and shops/restaurants. It was quiet so would be fine for families. There were fancier looking resorts in Bophut but this one was good fot the price, and some of the fancier resorts were slightly further out of town. It is also easy to get around Samui; about 50bt by taxi-bus to Chaweng. Bophut is generally much calmer than Chaweng. The only negative thing I would say is that we found quite a lot of mosquitos around the balcony so sitting out there could be quite uncomfortable, but overall I would recommend the resort.

Booking service was easy to use. We were emailed before we went to Thailand to let us know that the resort restuarant would be unavailable during our stay, and asking whether we would like to change our booking. We didn t but it was good of them to ask.

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights. We were very disappointed on arrival to be told that the beach front dining hall was closed for refurbishment. This was during the second week of November 2011. This resulted in breakfast being delivered to our bungalow each morning. Not the end of the world but it would ave much nicer overlooking the beach. The refurbishment also resulted in loud mechanical noise during the day. The resort looked very nice and the swimming pool and spa very enticing. However it just seemed to lack a heart . We felt as If we were staying alone rather than part of a resort. Bungalow as comfortable enough but the shower was weak and basic.

Smile house was great value for money and we wouldn t hesitate to stay again. The pools are clean and a godsend as we were a little disappointed with the beach, the sand is very course shingle and the sea was very cloudy. The resort wasn t busy while we were there so that helps. Rooms are comfortable and well maintained by the maid service and everyone is helpful if you have a problem. If I was to return to Samui it would be back to the Fishermans village and Smile House. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Nice hotel on Bophut beach,rooms o.k. Could be a bit more nicer whit some new paint,but garden is great with super swimmingpools.Breakfast also good.I only expected some more from the beach,water was very dirty.

We love Smile House Resort! It is situated in the best part of Samui, Fisherman s village. The houses are situated in a lovely garden and there are two great swimmingpools which aren t too crowded. The seaside restaurant provides great food, especially the Tom Yum is to die for. I would definitely recommend Smile House Resort!

Perfect stay. In the end of Fishermans Village. We had an Luxury 2-Bedroom-Villa, not 2Star its a 4Star Resort. 2 very clean Pools, clean Rooms, perfect service, the Restaurant was great, directly by the beach, Pizza like in Italy (the children like it). The Bungalow had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, 3 airconditioners (very important at august)like 90 m2 and a beautiful terras.

Har akkuratt hatt to fantastiske uker i Juli og bodde på Smile house resort. Hyttene var av helt grei standard og alle hadde veranda og air condition. To svømme basseng og spa avdeling. Servicen der er helt fantastisk og resorten ligger helt perfekt. Bophut beach er rolig og er et sted som man kan slappe av og spise god mat. Mange boder og mye spennende mat da man bor i Fishermans village. Mere normal shopping finner man 10 min unna i mere hektiske omgivelser (chaweng og tesco) [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Å bestille igjennom Sawadee var veldig lett. Betalte i 2 deler og fikk bekreftelse som vi skrev ut og leverte på hotellet. Utrolig enkelt og greit.

Rooms are well appointed, with a well stocked mini bar (replenished daily) Location is (normally) quiet and staff are very attentive and friendly to the guests and their requirements. Fresh linen and towels provided daily, food from the restaurant is fresh and well prepared, apart from the boiled eggs in the morning which were not only cold, they were hard boiled.

Our family of 6 spent 4 wonderful days at Smile House Resort. The bungalow was spacious and beautifully appointed. The gardens and swimming pools are exquisite and where we spent many happy hours. The inclusive breakfasts were delicious. Could not fault Smile House for it s hospitality and cleanliness. Loved it!

Slightly Older hotel but very clean and practical, larger than average room size, directly opposite the pool. Great greenary making rooms very private. Only slight niggle is the fact that many tiles in swimming pool cracked and wife split open foot - when we made the hotel aware their answer was we know but theres so many we d need to drain the pool to repair - this needs doing rght away before a child gets hurt. The location of the hotel was excellent! Fisherman s village itself was nice and quiet (but not too quiet). Hotel area was very well kept and tidy. The photos of the hotel in their www-site don t show properly how beautiful the area is with all the vegetation. Hotel staff was nice and helpful. Rooms were cleaned every day. We liked the breakfast, too. Omelette, bacon and fresh fruits were my favorites. We can sincerely recommend this hotel to others. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

This is our third stay in Thailand and we would not look any further for accomodation in Fishermen s village. The location is perfect, bungalows are lovely very clean everything you need, cleaned everyday with new bedding and fresh beach and bathroom towels, staff are very helpful and the grounds of smile house and beautiful. The pool areas are fantastic. Breakfast is also very good with a good variety of hot and cold foods. I really don t have a bad word to say and will return in the winter.Highly recommend. Very poor standard quality and not cleaned very well. Make sure you read when booking as we had to upgrade as the room we booked was of poor standard compared to other accommodation in the area. Some staff were friendly but not very well informed as they tried to charge us twice. No phones in accommodation so contacting reception required a good five minute walk each time back and forwards for any problems which could be improved. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Booking was efficient but room information needs to be updated as the accomodation pictures were very outdated, plus when booking a room it would be nice not to be placed surrounded by 3 group of families all each with 2/3 children. Planning should have been priority after we requested a quiet room. This was unsatisfactory being woken every morning at 5am.

This was my second visit at Smile House. It is clean and well run, offering excellent value for money. The bungalows are quite spacious, but even better are the tropical gardens surrounding the accomodation which are beautifully kept and really add to the feel of the place. Check out Smile s restaurant which does excellent food. Location: Bophut does not have the best beach on Samui, but it s a nice villagey feel if you don t won t the chaos of somewhere more commercial. I would recommend Smile, but I d also recommend checking out other locations perhaps on Koh Phangan or Koh Tao on your trip. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Nice place at the Fishermans village. Many very goog resturants in the neigborhood. Cute little street for walking and shoopping in the evening. Good food at the hotel, nice pool. THe family bungalow was very good, with separat barthroom and a living room. Outside space was very nice, with roof for the rainseson.

The Smile House was great for our stay. We liked the quiet location and the room/hut was nice. Not the stale typical hotel room but a nice basic room with everything we needed. Everything was super. We where stayin in the 3 bedroom chalet and it was super for all of us. We did enjoy the stay so much that we went back for 6 more days. The rooms are nice, the location super if you want to have a lot of restaurants and some shopping just around the corner. The hotel is very laid back and we like that a lot. This was our second visit to the Smile House and once again we had a fantastic time. The bungalows are very well kept and spacious. The resort is immaculate, the gardens are beautiful. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The restaurant has a beachfront setting with stunning views. We had the most wonderful time at Smile House. First of all we want to mention the people who work there, received us, fixed everything we asked for, and cleaned perfectly every day. The food was good, the Family Chalet was wonderful with very good airco and a nice terrace, the garden was magnificent and very well kept, and the swimming pool was a big success with our children. The beach was not very attractive for a family with small children, but it was easy and cheap to get to other beaches. Smile House does not only keep the smile on their own faces, but also on yours. Eigenlijk alles was perfect,de ligging,vlak bij het strand. 50 meter verder lopen en je was in fishermans village waar je een uitgebreide keus had van eetgelegenheden en barretjes.Het complex heeft 2 hele mooie zwembaden en een groot open restaurant aan zee.Bediening is vriendelijk. Smile House Restort is a excellent hotel with full of garden. Day starts with beautiful flowers!! Staff are very friendly and smiling always. Breakfast was OK. Plenty of restarunts are available on the main street. We dined at Tandour Taj restarunt and the food quality was excellent! [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

I stayed at this hotel with my wife in March 2010. The pictures of this hotel on sawadee.com (i made booking on this site) is not very good and pictures do not show the beauty of this hotel! The hotel has a lot of plants and trees and the hotel is perfectly located on the beach. Friendly staff, breakfast was not very diverse, but offers a lot of fruit that I and my wife really liked. Restaurant in the hotel is the best on the beach! You can easy access the shop Tesko and beaches Chaveng by scooter for 5-10 minutes [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

We can really recommend this resort. Great bungalows in a very beatiful surrounding. Special thanks for the breakfast packs as we had to leave very early in the morning.

Smile House was a fabulous place to stay, truely a part of Fisherman s village, the pool area was brilliant and maintained to a high standard. The setting for the restaurant idyillic,how can you beat eating your breakfast on beach looking out to an aquamarine sea? The staff were polite and friendly. I would recommend Smile to anyone contemplating a trip to Koh Samui,although not 5* that is certainly no detriment to Smile which retains true Thai style. Thanks Smile House for a wonderful holiday.

Smile house was AMAZING. It exceeded our expectations by far. It was a beautiful place to spend our holiday. The staff were so friendly and very helpful. they spoke excellent english which helped as our Thai is not so good. Thank you so much for making our holiday perfect!

this place is right in the fisherman s village , you don t have to go any where the restaurant is great, then walk down the street to fine 20 more all nice or walk 5mins and eat the local food yum.most beautiful gardens i have ever seen , pools warm very nice , beach lovely , staff always smiling always ready to help , i want to go back , many family s and couples met some very nice people , 15mins on the bus or taxi to main drag cheawang beach , too many shops same stuff , smile house breakfast was all good freash eggs cooked to order and tons of freash fruit , will visit again. Bon accueil, chambre propre, jardin extraodinaire, spa trés agréable, les 2 piscines et la mer à proximité c est génial, le personnel est disponible, de nombreux services.Bien qu au centre du village, c est trés calme.Je recommanderai cette hotel avec plaisir.

Previous reviews had mentioned room very dark(true) and a little dated(true) BUT there was lots of space, great servicing and excellent facilities and we found them to be excellent. The large pool was fantastic, as was the choice for breakfast. When we had problems with the safe and light they were attended to straight away. They very also good at booking tours and car hire. There was a very surly looking supervisor/owner who seemed to look angry all the time in the restaurant!!! Great location to all the restaurants and yet the cabins are very quiet. I think Bophut is excellent location on Samui for thoses that dont want to be totally isolated from bars and restaurants but dont want the party party atmosphere of Chaweng! A nice hotel with a nice atmosphere. We are a big family (9persons) and booked 4rooms, very clean and great service. A lot of restaurants and shops nereby. Great value for money!
